Posting this before I have to study, got two tests tomorrow, ugh -_- but enjoy the chapter babes!!! 💕💕

50 minutes later

"THIS IS SO AMAZING!!!!" DJ yelled, daring to stand up on Cuddles.

"Nooo, it'sssss, noooot!!" Branch held on to Poppy's waist fearfully.

"We're almost there you guys!!" Poppy yelled, trying to ignore the fact she was blushing because Branch was holding her.

Once they were fully outside the tall grass, Cuddles stopped and they were in front of a river.

"I think this is where we stop." Satin said.

Everyone got off and stood on the ground before the river, staring at its blue glory.

"Soo, what do we do now?" Chenille asked.

"We swim?" Guy Diamond asked.

"Heck no! I'm not swimming all way to bergen town! That's too much." Chenille exclaimed.

"There has to be something we could do.. we can't just stand here!" Poppy said.

"Let's build a boat-"

"Let's build a boat!!" Creek exclaimed.

"That's a good idea Creek!" Poppy shouted.

"Yeah, good thinking!" Biggie said.

"Hah, It was nothing guys."

"But, I just said that!" Branch yelled angrily.

"Said what?" Poppy asked.

"I sai- nothing." He looked away.

"How are we gonna make a boat?" Smidge asked.

Everyone looked around for any useful materials.

"We could grab some sticks but it has to be a lot. And when I say a lot I mean a loooooot. And we're gonna need rope or something able to tie up something else." Branch explained.

"Alllllright. Let's go then!" Poppy exclaimed, and everyone went their separate ways, while Cuddles just sat there (A/N: Poor Cuddles 😂)

Sticks were the easiest to find, but it was just rope that was hard to find.

After everyone came back, they put all the sticks in the middle.

"Geez, that's a lotta sticks." Cooper said moving his neck forward and back.

"Okay, now we just need something to tie these up with. I think I might have a rope.."

Branch went to his bag and dug for a rope which he successfully got, but something fell out.

"Hey Branch something fell out your bag." Poppy said trying to glance at it.

"Wha- AAH!" Branch quickly picked up the item and put it in the bag.

One of Poppy's invitations fell out his bag, and he didn't want anyone to see it. Or any of them.

"Thanks Poppy," Branch groaned and rolled his eyes, and Poppy smiled sweetly in response, making his heart stop a bit.

Seriously, stop with that...

"Alright people, let's get to work." Branch held the long rope in his hands.

"It looks great!" Poppy squealed.

"No it looks like a regular wooden boat we built." Branch replied.

"Grump..." Poppy mumbled, sticking her tongue out at him.

Branch smirked to himself at her silly response.

"Alright, let's g-"

"WAIT!"

Everyone looked at Poppy.

"What is it Poopy?"

"We nee- wait did you just call me Poopy?" (A/N: INSPIRED BY AnimeVampireLover YOU SHOULD GO READ HER BROPPY STORY IT'S FLIPPING AMAZING)

Branch smirked again, folding his arms.

"You little- ...nevermind. We need food!" Poppy said.

"I thought I saw some berries around when we looked for sticks." DJ shrugged.

"Let's go look then!" Chenille said, beginning to run.

"Ouch!! Did you forget I'm here?!" Satin wailed.

"Oops, sorry, and yes I did." Chenille stopped and began running again.

Satin groaned and caught up to her.

Poppy finished counting all the berries and fruits, since that was all that was around.

"Alright were good." Poppy perked.

"Ohhhkay, let's g-"

"WAIT!"

"What?!"

Poppy counted everyone to make sure they were here, including herself.

"Just making sure everyone's here."

Branch rolled his eyes and facepalmed himself.

"Okay let's g-"

"WAIT-"

"WHAT COULD IT POSSIBLY BE NOW POPPY?!" Branch yelled.

"What about.... Cuddles?" Poppy walked up to the bunny and held his head, cuddling it.

"Uh, that thing? No. It's not coming with us."

"But Braaanch-"

"No, Poppy, no."

"We can't leave him alone!"

"He's a wild, animal!! He can take care of himself. Plus, this is where he lives. I'm sorry, but..... Cuddles can't come with us."

Poppy's face fell, and she turned around to Cuddles, who looked down at the pink troll innocently.

"Say your goodbyes and then we need to go." Branch walked over the boat.

The Snack Pack walked up to Poppy and stood by her.

"Well... this is where we end our adventure, Cuddles... not that I ever wanted it to end, but... it's best for the both of us.... I love ya buddy...." Poppy's vision was glistening from tears, then she dashed to the bunny and dug her face into his warm and soft fur.

The Snack Pack did the same, wrapping their arms around each other as well.

Little did they know, Branch was in the back witnessing it all.

He had to admit, he felt at least a little bad.

Everyone released from the hug slowly.

Poppy turned around to look at her friends with sad looks, her eyes were still glistening with tears, but daring to fall out.

"Come on you guys." Poppy croaked out, walking to the boat slowly.

They all sat down quietly, not saying a word.

The boat was finally moving on the river.

Poppy looked back at Cuddles, who was trying to walk up to them, but he couldn't.

She smiled sadly as they began to draw further from the bunny.

Not knowing what else to do, Cuddles jumped into the grass, disappearing out of sight.

Poppy sighed and hugged her knees.

"Well great job pal, you made her upset." Creek groaned.

"Okay, first of all, that big thing wouldn't be able to fit on here. Second, what would be the point of bringing it? It would technically be just tagging along. And third.... this isn't all about Poppy, this is about going to bergen town and finding everyone. End of story." Branch argued.

"But you don't just-"

"No Creek, it was the right thing to do. Stop defending me for everything. It's nice of you, but please just stop."

"But, I- fine." Creek folded his arms, growling lowly as he saw Branch smirking in the corner of his eye.

It was late at night, around 11:00.

Everyone was asleep in their sleeping bags.

Branch was laying down, but he wasn't asleep just yet. He was looking at something.

He was looking at Poppy's invitations again.

Everytime he'd look at them, he'd think back to when he was blue and happy as a kid.

And also thinking about his actions as a grey troll.

He didn't think he'd ever be blue again.

Branch sighed and put them away in his bag and laid down next to Poppy, but not too close.

He watched the princess breathing slowly, her mouth slightly open.

Branch smiled at how... cute she looked.

He loved Poppy a lot, but he hid those feelings away for a long time.

He always thought he didn't stand a chance with such a beautiful and optimistic troll.

The grey troll sighed and closed his eyes slowly.

It was starting to get a little cold and windy out.

Oh come on..

Branch shivered a little, but stopped when he felt someone cuddle into him.

Poppy wrapped her arms around him, shivering. She dug her face into his warm chest.

Branch didn't know what to do. He just stood frozen.

Well duh, she's cold, warm her up you dummy...

The grey troll slowly wrapped his arms around her body, pulling her closer.

Poppy let out a soft sigh, becoming warm slowly.

Branch tried not to panic by closing his eyes, falling asleep slowly.
