I headed down the stairs, where Via was already waiting. I turned the corner to see her sitting at our table, looking out the window.
Her raven black hair, cascading down her shoulders. You could see little glints of brown where the sunlight hit her hair. I walked past her, sending her a quick smile. I pulled the jumbo box of Fruitloops, her favourite cereal, out of the cabinet. Once the milk was added, I carefully brought them out to the table.

"Thank you." She said,flashing a sweet smile.
We both ate quickly, and then headed up to change.
Once I was done, I went back downstairs and sat on the couch. She desended the stairs soon after.

Her beautiful hair, parted in the middle and half resting on each of her shoulders. Her hair was not straight nor curly, it was sort of wavy, and curled a bit at the ends. She was wearing a baggy white t-shirt, with a picture of Betty Boop on the front, accompanied by some denim shorts.

Any other girl could wear this, and I would see nothing special, yet no matter what she put on, she still looked marvelous.

"Can we go downtown today? I heard a new cafe opened and they have bubble tea."
I nodded my head, of course.

On the way home, I held her hand while driving. It gave me warmth, it motivated me. Her touch was like holding a warm mug. It warmed your hands so slightly,yet it felt so nice.

Comparing her hands to a warm mug eh? Smooth.

Yup I'm a dork.

"Alex" She said.
I loved the way my name rolled off her tounge.
I glanced at her quickly, to let her know I was listening.

"We haven't been out to the lake in a while."
I nodded my head in agreement.

The lake, was a lake about a 3 hour drive away. It was beautiful there, and I knew she loved it. It was up in the mountains, and was close to a hot springs.

"Yeah we should go some time." I replied.

"Tomorrow?" She pleaded.

I let out a sigh, before saying okay. I loved sleeping in, but I would wake up anytime for her.
She took a sip of her bubble tea, and I knew she was happy.

I let out a load groan as I felt her jump on me.

"Allllex!" She yelled.

"C'mon Alex, we've got to load everything up. Get ready!"

I sighed, and lazily got up. I headed downstairs and we both ate quickly. After we had showered and got dressed, I helped her load some pillows, blankets and the cooler into the car.
We drove to a few stores, to pick up some chips and soda, before we headed out to the lake. I put in a Taylor Swift CD, and listened to Via sing along.
Her voice was like a happy bird, chirping along to the song. It was so sweet, and smooth. She's not Beyoncé, but I'd listen to her voice any day.

Driving with her was almost like a challenge for me. I had to keep my eyes on the road. Yet her face, distracted me. I so badly just wanted to stare into her chocolaty brown eyes.

A few years ago, on our first trip to the lake, we had made up a silly game. Whenever one of us had to piss, we would have to tell the other. Since I was driving she would usually tell me, so I could pull over somewhere. We made a rule that if I had to piss, I had to tell her, and ask if she needed to. The point of the game, is that every time you tell/ask the other person that you need the toilet, you have to say it differently. For example:
'I need to use the little girls room'
And then after, one of us would write it down. We are not allowed to use a term that has already been used.

God, we are so mature.

We were about an hour in, and I noticed her grip on my hand loosen. I knew she was thinking about something. She looked out the window, watching intently as the trees went by.

"You know what I've always wanted to do? " She said, breaking the silence.

" What?"

"Drop bath bombs into a hot tub. It would be super epic.." A goofy smile was plastered on her face.

I just loved it when she talked to me like that. Telling me things about herself. Just when I thought I knew everything about her, she would open up and tell me more. She was like a n endless book, I wanted to keep her around so I could find out more. I wanted to keep her forever.
