Anniversary

Via's POV
---------------
A few weeks had gone by since that little cute day. The special day was coming up....our 4 year anniversary.

It was all over now, the drama classes. My education was all done. Woah. I'm an adult now. All grown up, 20 years old. I had said goodbye to all the friends I had managed to make.

I was waiting on the curb, for Alex to pick me up.

"So, last day. How was it?" He asked, a big smile on his face.

"Fun. Drama is my passion you know that. But I just...wow...I'm all grown up now. I have a life to live."

I threw my bag into the trunk, and Alex put the roof down. As we drove, the wind flew through my hair. I hadn't been paying attention much, due to the fact I was rocking out to the music. I was almost mad when Alex turned the radio down.

But then I realised where we were.

I was about to say something when I felt Alex hold my hand. My face heated up instantly.

"Via. We've known eachother for...forever. You know how I feel about you. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner but, maybe it was because I wanted to wait 'til school was over so you'd be less stressed.."

My hands were shaking like an earthquake.

What is he saying?

I couldn't bring myself to any words. I just sat there trembling in wait of him to continue.

"Via I want you to be mine..well...what I'm saying is, will you date me?"

I thought I had died that day. I couldn't tell if it was just a dream.

"Of course!" Is all I could manage.

It was going to be a whole four years..
Wow.

I had been so scared he would change, and move on.

But he didn't.

He waited his whole life for me, and I'm pretty sure he didn't intend on breaking up.

Good, because I don't know how I would go on without him.

Alex's POV
-----------------

I had just got my paycheck from work. I was debating weather to put it in my bank account, for that thing I was saving for....Or use it for our anniversary.

Four whole years....

I want more. I want to spend even more time with her. Soon it will be ten years. Even then I'll be happy.

I ended up at the bank, putting the money in. I'd find some other way to make her happy. I always can.

That's when I had the perfect idea. We'd gone on a picnic when we were just teenagers. One of the best evenings of my life, even though we were just young and weird.

But tomorrow night was going to be better.

-----

We played a couple soccer games in our tiny yard. Before I knew it, evening was coming up.

It was time to spring into action.

"Hey Via, let's go get some dinner"

Before she could object, I took her hand and lead her to the car. By then she must have caught on, and just let me drive.

I hope they set it up good enough...

When we pulled up, I caught a glimpse of Renee and Dani, running to hide.

Perfect. They did it in time.

I lead her over to the little hill, with a view of the river.

Via's POV
----------------

I smiled at the sight of the red checkered blanket. I wonder who had set it up...

I gave a small wave to Renee, who was hiding behind a tree.

There was a picnic basket, filled with sandwiches and my favourite soda.

Alex pulled me close, using one hand to eat and the other to hold me.

"This is beautiful" I whispered.

The sun slowly lowered, and colors spread through the sky. The both of us still say there, just taking the last few bites of our sandwiches. A few goosebumps formed on my arms as the cool breeze of evening flew in.

He must have sensed this, because he pulled me onto his lap.

"I love you"

He planted a few gentle kisses on my neck. My heart fluttered.

"I love you too, Alex"

Ok, sorry it's not that long but I tried. XD

Hope ya'll liked it anyway.

Love ya'll!
