"Fantasy mirrors desire. Imagination reshapes it."
-Mason Cooley
Hello! I'm Artemis, a 17 year old girl who is a senior in high school who has big plans for the future. My family came from Britain and Italy (three generations ago), unfortunately I do not have an accent. I am trilingual and I am currently learning French. I live in the grand United States along the states by the eastern coast. As you can see (from the quote above), I love fantasy and I am an avid reader and writer in that genre. I read romance and swoon over lovable characters, and I read adventure. I'm not really fond of other genres. I can be very kind to people but when I'm angered, you can forget about kindness. I'm a different person when I'm angry. You have been warned. Now, for the most commonly well-known questions that are asked world-wide:
What are your favorite color(s)?
I love the colors blue and purple and sometimes the occasional pink. I do however despise neon pink and yellow.
What are your favorite books?
I have read too many books but some of my favorite series are The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, and the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas.
What's your favorite food?
You're making me choose my favorite food? Excuse me, food is life; I love most. Though I do enjoy going to Chick-fil-A, Golden Corral, and Red Lobster.
What is your favorite TV show/movie?
Unfortunately, I don't watch TV as much as I used to when I was younger. Though the TV show Merlin is very good and thanks to SkarlitDawn for recommending me the show.
Do you have any siblings?
I have two siblings; a sister of 14, and a brother of 18.
Do you have any pets?
I do. I have two dogs; Coco and Keeva.
How long have you been designing?
I have been designing for about nine months now. I had posted a graphics book about two months ago.
How did you start?
When I was younger, I always wondered if I could design covers or other graphics. I had taught myself and had watched numerous amounts of tutorials. When I first started, I had made my graphics using BeFunky. I still use it today for editing models and their appearances. I then later discovered PicMonkey, but that only lasted two weeks. I then later found Canvas and made several book covers for stories I had written in my countless notebooks. Then, I found Pixlr.
Pixlr is one of my favorite softwares to use when I design since I do not have Photoshop. It took practice, and several trial and error graphics I have stashed into my recycling bin. I discovered textures and found png models. I learned how to cut out models to give myself better quality for the graphic, and learned how to blend. I discovered DeviantArt and after seeing many creations, I made some of my own. I then found Wattpad a few months ago and started designing for people on here.
Where do you get your resources?
I mostly get my resources from DeviantArt, my love. I sometimes get my resources from Pinterest and Google Images. But DeviantArt beats them all. I sometimes want to cry when I look at it.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I mostly get my inspiration from other graphic designers on Wattpad such as seventhstar and members of the GuildOfGraphics. I also get inspiration from the countless photo manipulations I find on DeviantArt and music.
Fun Fact:
I have a pet llama named Snowy. Help her conquer the world. :D
