INT. LOBBY – CHOI GROUP HQ – NIGHT

Tae Hyung steps out of Nam Gil's office, his gaze fixed on his ringing phone. He waits till he reaches a corner to answer the mysterious caller.

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: Who's this?

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: Jungkook, we met at the safe house.

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: Why're you calling me?

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: Did you meet with Y/n today?

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: Ugh... Yeah. Why?

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: She's gone off grid, I'm trying to trace her steps.

Tae Hyung looks out at the city through the glass wall.

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: Did she seem different in any way?

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: No.

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: Did she tell you where she was going next?

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: No.

His cool demeanor starts getting tense – Something's wrong.

JUNGKOOK [OVER PHONE]: Okay thanks.

He cuts the call. Tae Hyung spins his phone on his middle finger, lost in thought – Why doesn't her team know where she is?

He makes a call.

TAE HYUNG [INTO PHONE]: Nam Joon Hyung, I need you to locate Y/n.

CUT TO:

INT. NAM GIL'S OFFICE – NIGHT

Tae Hyung enters the well-appointed office, his gaze in the process of diverting from his phone.

TAE HYUNG: Sorry, that took longer than I expect-

He comes to a halt shutting the door behind him as he finds Y/n walking toward Nam Gil's desk. Nam Gil himself is not in the room anymore.

Tae Hyung's both surprised and not surprised to see Y/n taking a seat on the chair he was seated in, a few minutes ago.

TAE HYUNG: Hi. Where's Nam Gil?

Y/N: He stepped out to meet someone.

TAE HYUNG: Your friends are worried about you.

Y/n ignores the statement, checking the drawers.

TAE HYUNG: What're you doing?

He steps toward the desk, Y/n extends an arm gesturing him to stop.

Y/N: Guard the door.

He stares at her, confused.

TAE HYUNG: No.

Y/N: No?

TAE HYUNG: It looks like you're doing something I don't want to get involved in.

Y/N: I need you to guard the door, I don't want to get caught.

TAE HYUNG: What in the world are you searching his drawers for?

He takes at step forward.

Y/N: Please.

She gives him a curt look, making Tae Hyung step back to the door, before continuing her search.

TAE HYUNG: Ever plan on letting me know?

Y/n moves onto the cabinets.

Y/N: I'm searching his office.

TAE HYUNG: For?

Y/N: I... don't know.

Tae Hyung scoffs – Of course you know.

Y/N: I don't know what he's hiding but I need to find it.

TAE HYUNG: What's he hiding?

Y/n stops, gritting her teeth, her gaze fixed on the cabinet in front of her. Tae Hyung notices her sudden rage.

TAE HYUNG: I can help-

The door opens, just a tad and Tae Hyung finds himself immediately slamming the door shut. Y/n swiftly seats herself back, looking like she'd been sitting there all along.

Tae Hyung opens the door.

NAM GIL: Tae Hyung?

TAE HYUNG: Oh!... Hi... Sorry, I thought I was supposed to push to open the door.

NAM GIL: It's fine-

Y/N: Found it!

The attention is diverted to Y/n walking toward Tae Hyung, his phone in her hand. Tae Hyung's fingers immediately land on the pocket he was sure he had kept his phone in– Where did she- How?

Y/N: He came back for his phone. Here.

Tae Hyung takes it from her hand.

TAE HYUNG: Ugh... Thanks.

NAM GIL [TO Y/N]: Sorry, I'm running late for our dinner.

Y/N: I came to tell you; I can't make it. I have work.

NAM GIL: Really? That's disappointing. Well, next time.

Y/n smiles and bows.

Y/N: Catch you later.

She exits, leaving Tae Hyung to get back to his meeting with Nam Gil.

CUT TO:

INT. TAE HYUNG'S CAR – TRAFFIC - NIGHT

Tae Hyung's car stops at the red light.

TAE HYUNG: How did she get my phone? It was with me-!

He stops, looking at the passenger door open and Y/n climbing in.

TAE HYUNG: You need to stop doing that-

Y/N: I need your help.

Tae Hyung's all ears.

TAE HYUNG: What's going on?

Y/N: It's my sister. I need to hide her in a place where no one can find her.

Tae Hyung's gaze falls on her busy hands, scratching on her skin, the edges of her nails outlined with blood. – Something's very, very, wrong.

TAE HYUNG: Are your safehouses compromised?

Y/N: Nam Gil knows all my safe houses.

The nails dig into her skin with more aggression. Tae Hyung silently winces, as if it was his skin that was being lacerated.

TAE HYUNG: You're protecting her from her husband?

Y/n gulps, she doesn't want to admit it but manages a nod.

Y/N: He... (tugs on her skin harder) hurt my sister.

She scratches deeper, hating this and hating herself more for letting this happen.

Y/N: I need to keep her safe.

She avoids looking at Tae Hyung.

Y/N: I can't keep her safe. I...can't...

Tae Hyung places his hand on hers, to stop her from ripping her skin. Y/n numb to everything, stares ahead.

TAE HYUNG: I have an apartment outside of Seoul.

They look at each other, Y/n for the first time – grateful.

TAE HYUNG: She'll be safe there, so stop hurting yourself.

CUT TO:

INT. BEDROOM – TAE HYUNG'S SPARE APARTMENT – NIGHT

Ye Ji is asleep on the bed, even in her sleep she looks scared. Y/n tucks the blankets all around her, she takes a long look at her sister, her hands trembling.

Y/N: You're safe now...

She strokes Ye Ji's head and turns to leave.

YE JI: Y/n...

Y/n immediately turns around.

Y/N: I'm here. Are you okay? Are you in pain?

Ye Ji reaches for Y/n's hand.

YE JI: We...We...can't hide...

Y/n holds her poker face - Don't break.

YE JI: He'll...He'll find me.

Y/n grips Ye Ji's trembling hand firmly.

Y/N: I won't let him.

YE JI: You don't get it Y/n. He'll find me... He'll find us...

Y/N: I won't let anything bad happen to you.

CUT TO:

EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX – NIGHT

Y/n walks out of the apartment, each step getting harder to take. She takes deep breaths, refusing to let the weight of her mistake break her - I'll make him pay.

Tae Hyung steps away from his car and approaches Y/n, who's subconsciously hurting herself again. He pushes in a burner phone into Y/n's hand, stopping her from doing further harm.

TAE HYUNG: I contacted your team.

Y/N: Thanks for the apart-

TAE HYUNG: Don't worry about your sister. She'll be safe here.

Y/n nods. Tae Hyung looks at her for a long moment.

TAE HYUNG: Are you okay?

Y/N: I need one more favor. I need to go to Red Eye.

TAE HYUNG: Do you need to find something?

Y/N: My sister's boyfriend, if I know about him, then even Nam Gil knows.

TAE HYUNG: You think he's in danger?

Y/N: I'm not sure.

CUT TO:

INT. TAE HYUNG'S CAR – NIGHT

Y/n restlessly flips the burner phone in her hand – Why didn't he do anything about the boyfriend?

Tae Hyung glances at her as he drives through the city.

TAE HYUNG: Y/n? Are you listening?

Y/N: Huh? No, what?

TAE HYUNG: You should tell your father about Nam Gil; he'll kill him in a heartbeat. You don't have to do this.

Y/N: I know, but that scumbag has something over Ye Ji. Something so big that she couldn't even tell us...

Silence follows. Y/n gets lost in thought again, her nails digging into her skin.

Y/N: She apologized to me...

She's no numb even her bleeding skin doesn't hurt.

Y/N: My sister, the one who should be apologized to was saying sorry to me.

Tae Hyung glances at her.

Y/N: My sister who went through all that abuse for 5 years, silently, apologized... to me...

She smiles painfully.

Y/N: To her incompetent sister who notices everyone else's state and problems in a flash but couldn't notice her own sister getting tortured...

She scoffs.

Y/N: What kind of a person am I?

TAE HYUNG: Y/n-

Y/N: Who knew the founder of Labyrinth is such a loser?

TAE HYUNG: Y/n stop, you're bleeding!

He grabs her hand, pressing on the deep abrasions. Y/n pulls her hand away from his grip.

Y/N: I don't deserve to wallow in self-pity, how long till we get there?

Tae Hyung glances at her, fuming.

CUT TO:

INT. REDEYE TECH - OFFICE – NIGHT

Nam Joon and Ho Seok are by the monitors chatting in the empty office when Y/n hurries in.

NAM JOON: We've located the boyfriend.

Y/n and Tae Hyung reach Ho Seok's desk.

HO SEOK: We've hacked into the boyfriend's PC and turned on the web cam. Nam Gil's inside the apartment.

He hits enter on his keyboard and a live visual, displays on the big screen: Nam Gil, his back to the camera, chatting with Ye Ji's boyfriend, who's tied to a chair.

HO SEOK: They've been talking for the past 15 minutes.

Y/n stares blankly at Nam Gil - What're you holding over my sister?
