FADE IN:

EXT. PERIOD DRAMA SET – NIGHT:

Y/n snaps photographs of a female celebrity, bullying a junior colleague. Hiding behind a bush, she has plenty of cover. She straightens, not expecting an ice-cream cone to almost collide with her face.

TAE HYUNG: Oh sorry.

He moves it away.

Y/N: It's fine. Thanks.

She takes the ice-cream and takes a bite, Tae Hyung holding his own, stares at her surprised.

Y/N: What?

TAE HYUNG: You're doing surprising things today.

Embarrassed Y/n looks away.

Y/N: Don't I always?

Tae Hyung shakes his head.

TAE HYUNG: Not that kind, this kind.

Y/n's lost.

TAE HYUNG: Staying with me in Red Eye, reading my mind about the hot chocolate, letting me tag along on an investigation- A real investigation.

Y/N: That's because I owe you. Simple.

Tae Hyung narrows his eyes, suspicious.

Y/N: There's no other reason.

Tae Hyung sighs.

TAE HYUNG: Can't you just tell me the truth?

He stares at a tree.

Y/N: Fine. Go. My bad-

TAE HYUNG: No. No. Thank you.

He looks away. A tiny smile from Y/n as she returns to snapping the photographs.

CUT TO:

INT. KIM RESCIDENCE – NIGHT -

Tae Hyung frowns stepping in, he's really putting zero effort to walk. Min Won exits his room, his gaze lands on Tae Hyung.

MIN WON: Why're you home so late? Your mother was worried about you.

Tae Hyung has absolutely no energy to react. He crosses Min Won.

MIN WON: Are you mad about your lawyer?

Tae Hyung stops.

MIN WON: Of course, you are. You know how badly this affects my image? I couldn't make mistakes like you so I had to pull strings from outside-

TAE HYUNG: Okay. Good for you.

MIN WON: You asked for her help again, didn't you?

TAE HYUNG: Wow.

MIN WON: You sure do know how to keep your enemies close.

TAE HYUNG: If you have something worth listening to say, I'm all ears.

MIN WON: She fooled me.

TAE HYUNG: What're you talking about?

MIN WON: I had a job for her, that sly fox took her payment and ran away.

TAE HYUNG: What did you give her?

It clicks in his head; he doesn't need Min Won to state it to him – Oh Hell.

CUT TO:

INT. TAE HYUNG'S CAR – NIGHT

Speeding through traffic, Tae Hyung dials Y/n's number.

Y/N [OVER PHONE]: Hello?

TAE HYUNG: Ugh Hi. We need to talk. Where are you?

Y/N [OVER PHONE]: Home. Did something happen?

TAE HYUNG: Can we meet up; I need to tell you something.

Y/n hesitates – We talked the whole evening, it's over. There's nothing more to talk.

Y/N [OVER PHONE]: Ugh... I'm on my way to the office, you can come-

TAE HYUNG: Thanks. We'll talk when I get there.

He hangs up.

CUT TO:

INT. LABYRINTH OFFICE – NIGHT

Y/n yawns walking into her office. She makes eye contact with Jungkook, Jin and Yoongi, making her eyebrows furrow.

Y/N: I thought you guys went home.

JIN: The website started acting weird (sees Y/n get worried) Its fine now.

Y/N: Why didn't you call me?

YOONGI: You finally went home on your own, and this wasn't something big.

JUNGKOOK: Why're you back?

Y/n sits at her desk, her gaze falling on the pen drive.

Y/N: Tae Hyung wants to talk.

JUNGKOOK: About what?

Y/N: I don't know.

Y/n fixes the pen drive to her laptop, clicks on the icon; the screen shows a whole list of videos and documents. She wasn't expecting anything to be on it, let alone these files.

Y/N: What?

She clicks on one of the videos – Pure horror reflecting in her eyes.

YOONGI: Are you okay?

Tae Hyung stumbles in, one look at Y/n and he knows it's over.

TAE HYUNG: Oh-Y/n-

Y/n stares at the screen, she can't believe her eyes.

TAE HYUNG: Y/n, I-

Jungkook, Yoongi and Jin's gaze dart from Tae Hyung to Y/n – What's going on?

Y/n sweeps the laptop off of her desk, sending it crashing to the floor, startling everyone.

JUNGKOOK: Y/n?

Y/n rises from her chair, her fists clenched.

Y/N: Do you have anything to say?!

TAE HYUNG: I'm-I'm sorry.

Y/N: Stop joking, okay-

TAE HYUNG: I'm not.

Y/n exhales heavily. She shakes her head, looking away.

JIN: What's going on between you two-

Y/n leaps at Tae Hyung grabbing him by his collar.

Y/N: How could you?!

JUNGKOOK: Y/n!

He tries pulling her away from Tae Hyung.

Y/N: I trusted you! I took your help because I thought I could trust you!

She punches him in the face with ferocity.

Y/N: How could you?!

She bursts into tears. Jin, Jungkook and Yoongi try pulling her away as she gets ready to throw more punches.

Y/N: Why?! Why?!

She gives up and turns her back on him. Tae Hyung stares at the floor, guilt taking over.

Y/N: I...I trusted you...

JIN: Y/n. Calm down.

Y/N: Get out.

She looks at him. Tae Hyung can't get any words out of his mouth.

Y/N: Don't ever come in front of me. I'll kill you if you do. GET OUT!

JUNGKOOK [TO TAE HYUNG]: You should leave, she's not going to listen to anything you have to say.

Tae Hyung stumbles out of the office, as Y/n sinks to the floor – Traitor.

CUT TO:

INT. SEO RESCIDENCE – NIGHT

Y/n walks in like a zombie, Ye Ji spots her.

YE JI: Oh! You're home!

She smiles, approaching Y/n.

YE JI: I'm so glad you came. I was craving some midnight snacks-

She notices Y/n's still body language.

YE JI: Y/n? Are you okay?

Y/n's glassy gaze flicks to Ye Ji.

Y/N: Why does this always happen to me?

YE JI: Y/n...

Y/N: What did I do so wrong? Why do I always have to go through this?

Her voice shakes, Ye Ji pulls her into a hug and Y/n immediately starts crying. Y/n's hurt and she can't hide it, surprising her sister, who's rarely seen her cry.

YE JI: It's okay. It's okay.

Y/N: Why?

Ye Ji pats Y/n's shoulder.

YE JI: It'll be okay.

CUT TO:

INT. EVENT HALL - AFTERNOON

Tae Hyung and Min Won display smiles they don't mean, as they shake hands with the guests. A huge screen at the end of the hall reads: OUTSTANDING BUSINESS AWARDS.

MIN WON (Greets): I'm glad you came.

Tae Hyung, stands silent, next to the minister. His gaze falls on the Seo Family as they enter the hall, he's dreading meeting Y/n. It's been a week but he doesn't have the courage to face her yet. Lucky for him she's not here – Thank God.

Min Won noticing the Seo Family too, leans closer to whisper to Tae Hyung.

MIN WON: Don't mess this up for me please.

Tae Hyung has enough things going on, to care about any of this. Min Won's personality changes in a flash as Ahn Hyeop walks to them.

MIN WON: Mr. Seo! We finally meet.

Ahn Hyeop smiles, shaking hands with Min Won.

AHN HYEOP: It's a pleasure to be here.

Tae Hyung walks away, a conversation he doesn't want to be a part of. He stops near a table farther away from the crowd.

YE JI: Tae Hyung.

He turns around.

TAE HYUNG: Hi.

They bow. Ye Ji smiles.

TAE HYUNG: You look much better.

YE JI: It's all thanks to you. Thank you.

TAE HYUNG: Not at all.

He glances around.

YE JI: She isn't here.

Tae Hyung's shoulders drop.

TAE HYUNG: She's a busy person.

Ye Ji nods.

YE JI: I really don't know how I can thank you-

She shakes his hand.

TAE HYUNG: You really don't have to do.

YE JI: Thank you. You really have no idea how much you've helped me.

Ye Ji is pulled back, Tae Hyung's jaw crashes to the ground when he sees Y/n gripping her sister's arm.

YE JI: Y/n? I thought you-

Y/N: I don't know where we're sitting, show me.

She pulls Ye Ji away from Tae Hyung who's being eaten alive by guilt.

YE JI: Tae Hy-

Y/N: Is it that table?

Tae Hyung sighs. The MC takes to the stage, indicating the start of the event.

CUT TO:

time skip:

Min Won is on stage, giving the longest speech ever. Tae Hyung can sense the daggers Y/n's throwing at him with her gaze even tho he's seated across the room from her.

MIN WON: Businessman like you have built today's society, creating futures for our young generations...

Y/n plays with the water bottles, regretting her decision to attend this event. Ye Ji hides a yawn making Y/n smile.

MIN WON: Today, we're also going to celebrate a friend of mine, one of the most genuine business men I've ever known. Mr. Seo Ahn Hyeop.

A round of applause. A staff whispers to Tae Hyung who nods in response. He leaves his table following the staff.

CUT TO:

INT. CORRIDOR – EVENT HALL – NIGHT

TAE HYUNG: I'll let the minister know.

He bows to the chairman as he leaves. Tae Hyung straightens, smoothening his suit when he hears a familiar voice.

Y/N POV:

Standing in a corner, Y/n's on the phone.

Y/N: Min Joo? Don't you have classes now? Why're you calling?

Y/n hears sobs, her brows raise.

Y/N: Min Joo? Ya? Where are you? Min Joo?

Her world implodes when a familiar song plays in the background.

FLASHBACK:

Snow. Blood... death...this song...

Y/N: M-Min Joo.

Y/n's legs quiver.

?: The games are back...

Y/n almost drops her phone - He's back...

Y/N: Where is Min Joo?

?: 3 hours or boom.

She hears the dreadful song and the line goes dead.

Y/N: Please Not again. Not-Not-

She rushes to the exit, Tae Hyung's gaze trails after her, confused.

CUT TO:

EXT. PARKING LOT – AFTERNOON

Tae Hyung steps out, he spots Y/n puking by the parked cars.

TAE HYUNG: Y/n?

He races to her, Y/n coughs the last bit out and composes herself. She convinces herself she's ready to deal with the problem, stumbling to the car.

TAE HYUNG: Are you okay?

Y/n starts pulling on her car door while she holds a phone against her ear. The door won't open, it's locked.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Yes, is Min Joo not in school?

She can't unlock the car, she's clearly not in her right mind.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Why would you let her go out without a guardian?!

She kicks the door, Tae Hyung's pace speeds up and he finally reaches her.

TAE HYUNG: What happened?

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: She's supposed to be in school! You shouldn't have let her leave.

Tae Hyung takes the car keys from her hand and unlocks the car. Y/n hangs up.

Y/N: Min Joo...where are you?

She calls Jungkook.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Jungkook!

Her voice slowly being taken over by sobs.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Min Joo...Trace her...

Y/n grabs the key back from Tae Hyung and gets into her car.

CUT TO:

INT. Y/N'S CAR – AFTERNOON

She slams the door shut and tries to switch on the car while pulling her laptop open at the same time.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: She's missing, check everything. CCTV cameras, her phone, cards...

She whacks the steering wheel.

TAE HYUNG: Ok. Ok. You're not driving.

He gets in the car, forcing Y/n to scoot over to the passenger seat.

TAE HYUNG: I'll drive.

Y/n leaves her phone pressed between her shoulder and her ear as she taps away on her laptop.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Contact the police. Inform her parents.

Tae Hyung fixes her seatbelt before his, Y/n clearly doesn't even know he's here.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: She was at Honey café? No, I'll go. I'm nearby, I drive fast.

Tae Hyung glances at her – Sure.

Y/N [INTO PHONE]: Ok. Thank you.

He enters Honey Café into the navigation system and drives the car out of the parking lot.

Suddenly Y/n's nauseous.

TAE HYUNG: Are you going to puke? Should I sto-

Y/N: Why is he back? He was gone. I stayed low. How did he find me?

Tae Hyung's confused.

Y/N: I really took care of things this time. Why is he back?

TAE HYUNG: Who's he?

Y/N: Min Joo...

A lightning bolt of realization strikes her.

Y/N: He's tracking me. He knows.

She holds her laptop up, running her hands all around the back seat.

TAE HYUNG: You need to stop, you'll get hurt.

Y/N: Where is it? Where is it?!

She pulls open all the compartments searching for the device.

Y/N: Jin told me to keep one in the car! I remember putting-

Tae Hyung opens the glove compartment. Shoving his hand inside he finds a rectangular device.

TAE HYUNG: Here. Here.

He hands it to Y/n. She switches it on and waves it around. BEEP! BEEP! Under her seat, she shoves her hands under and pulls out a tiny tracker.

Y/N: What does he want from me now?

She chucks it out of the window. She looks at the road ahead in apprehension.

TAE HYUNG: 10 minutes.

Tae Hyung is so lost right now, but he's determined to help. He looks at Y/n noticing she's looking down at her phone.

TAE HYUNG: What is it?

She's got a message from Min Joo: A video clip.

FLASHBACK:

Y/n, dressed in her high school uniform, stares at her phone – A video clip sent from "THAT FREAK I LIKE"

PRESENT:

Y/n's fingers tremble. She clicks on the thumbnail. Tae Hyung hears it too, a creepy orchestral tune, that raises goosebumps on his hands. He cringes hearing an altered voice, until he hears what it has to say.

?: A case I picked out for you, lovely Y/n. .... Tick. Tick. Boom.

FADE OUT.
