Chapter 31: Pain

Song: Nightcore: End of an Empire.                     Original Artist: Celldweller
Thought the song fit the mood.
( Drake's P.O.V )
I get a sudden headache the second it vanished. Armen turned to me.
"Drake, what's wrong-" His eyes widen and he closes his eyes, grunting in pain.
"That's feels so horrible..." He trails off.
I nodded silently.
The pain soon dies down and I slowly open my eyes.
Unnatural green eyes stare into mine, looking in my soul, then vanished quickly. I sway away a little, getting startled.
"These shadows are starting to get bothering." I grumbled.
"Yeah. What are these things an,YWAYYY.." He raises his voice. I turn my head over my shoulder, noticing the same shadow was looking at him, slowly moving towards my left.
"Armen."
He looked towards me, looking a bit disturbed.
"Yeah..?"
"Were you in a place like this...when you were possessed...?" I inquired cautiously.
He nodded slowly.
"This room exactly in fact. But, there were never any of these shadows. Just the chains. I blinked.
"This place has to be one of our minds then."
"Yeah, I'm thinking the same." Armen agreed.
I heard the soft clanging of chains. I looked over at Armen and saw he was looking at me.
"But, who's mind?" He questioned.

( Mia's P.O.V )
I stared at the diamond in wonder.
Not the good kind of wonder either.
"Mia, did you see another diamond in the other room?" Luke suddenly asked me. I glanced up and faced him, his face being more stern than usual.
I shook my head.
"There were these weird markings on the wall. My head hurt too, but not to point where I passed out like Drake." I answered.
Grayson raised an eyebrow.
"Markings?"
I nodded.
We turned back to the diamond and baby dragon. The crimson red continued to slowly spread throughout it. I shuddered. The dragons eyes were now completely green.
Grayson cautiously walked towards him.
"What's-" He was cut off when the dragon whipped his tail around, almost smacking Grayson.
We all blinked. The dragon turned back to the diamond, our eyes following.
"Why's he..." Luke trailed off. Luke turned around and went in the direction Drake and I went. I glanced over at Armen and Drake.
They remained unconscious.
In the corner of my eye, I saw the diamond clanging against the wall. Hard.
Too hard, it knocked off a couple of pieces from it. Harsh breaths. They came from Drake and Armen. My eyes widen, as I looked at the diamond. Then back at Drake and Armen, then at the diamond.
'Oh no...' I thought.

( Armen's P.O.V )
Another strong headache overwhelms Drake and I as we both hiss back a grunt of pain.
I heard metal clanging vaguely and saw Drake pulling on the chains holding down his arms.
"Drake, even though you escaped out of those chains before..." He turned to me, looking confused.
"In here, I've escaped the chains the exact same way you're trying. Every single time, I passed out, and even stronger chains held me down." He blinked.
"Well then, what do we do?" I shrugged slightly.
This reminded me of the times when I was alive.

Even though I was in danger or trouble, Drake was always there with me. I always felt safer with him.

Another shadow zipped by, before flickering and fading away. Sprinting was heard.
I heard a snap.
The chains holding down my legs were split. I turned to Drake. The same went for him. He was holding onto the chains holding his arms.
Another snap.
Both him and I fell to the ground.
"What in the world...?" I trailed off looking at my hands. I got another extreme headache. I balled my hand into a fist, a stinging pain caused me to unfold it.
I slowly opened an eye, seeing blood drip from my palm. I grew even more confused. I heard coughing and turned around, seeing Drake cough up blood. My eyes widen and I was already at his side.
-----
His coughing soon died down. Relief washed over me, but wonder was still there. The iron door swung open. We both whipped around to it, blinking a couple of times. We faced eachother.
"Do...we?" Drake asked.
"We'll guide you."
Both Drake and I jumped at the raspy voices. We looked at eachother again with a big-eyed cartoon look. The soft sound of teleporting was heard. We instantly looked at the doorway, seeing the figure. The same figure Drake and I saw previously, with bright green eyes.

We stood up slowly.
"Who are you?" We both jinxed.

Before it could answer, I dropped to the floor harshly.

( Grayson's P.O.V )
Luke came back in holding his head. Mia gasped. I turned around, my eyes widening. Drake was now slumped over the floor, Armen standing.
Pale white covered his eyes, a grin stretching from ear to ear.
"Hmm...it seems like forever since I last possessed this one." Herobrine spoke. The dragon growled at his fiercely. Armen looked down at him.
"Wow! You actually successfully hatched it! How wonderful!" He exclaimed gleefully, clapping his hands.
He turned to me.
"So then you're the mother, am I right?" I gritted my teeth. He stood up straight.
"Hm, I guess I'll take that as a yes." He glanced over to the diamond, raising his eyebrow. The baby dragon jumped up, smacking him across the face, sending him flying against the wall. All our eyes looked like they would pop out of our heads at any second. Armen stood up angrily. He held his hands out, shooting fire. We all backed out of the way. The dragon then jumped up, tossing the diamond to counter the attack. The diamond hit it dead on, and an explosion was triggered. After it all cleared up, we were dumbfounded to see wings defending us. The dragon looked unharmed.

Armen was on the floor, passed out as if nothing ever happened.

I turned to where the explosion came from.

The diamond was in ashes.

Drake was breathing heavily.

( Drake's P.O.V )
I woke up slowly, seeing Armen by my side fainted. I grasped my head in the sudden discomfort.
Armen screamed. I immediately whipped my head around. He was grasping his head aswell, this time, it was him coughing up blood. I was at his side, patting his back. He took deep breaths in. We were still in the same room as before. The shadowy creature was watching us, but not attacking.
We turned towards it.

"What happened?" We both croaked out. It blinked.
"You both passed out." It answered, it's whisper filling the room.
"We need to move. You two are not going to last much longer here."
"What do you mean?" I asked, worry creeping up on me.
"You both and your friends are in danger."
Armen and I looked at eachother worryingly.
"How could you possibly know that?" Armen asked, raising an eyebrow.
It blinked.
"Many others have been in your situation." It answered.
"Others?" It nodded.
It turned around.
"Come. We must guide you out if you are to see another day."
