*(Y/N)'s POV*
"Peggy, please be careful, he's just woken up again." I called after a very excited Schuyler.
"He's fine." She dismissed me, cooing over how cute the baby was. Angelica obviously heard the commotion and came down the stairs, making Thomas hide behind me even though he was taller than I was.
"I'm not gonna slap you." She laughed at him. "This time anyway."
"Where's my godchild?" Eliza briskly came in from the kitchen, rushing over to Peggy.
"I thought I was godmother?" Peggy said.
"I thought it was me?" Angelica frowned.
Me and my boyfriend looked at each other. Well this was awkward.
"You know what? Rock, Paper, Scissors over it." I shrugged.
"Not important right now." Eliza decided. "What's his name?"
"Well his full name is now Hayden Jefferson." Thomas said.
"So you just replaced his surname with Jefferson?" Peggy asked.
"Well we didn't know what his old surname was - the note he was left with was really smudged. And I like the name Hayden." I explained. The girls nodded and went back to fussing, asking us random questions along the way.
Before long, Angelica spoke up. She was holding Hayden and he was blinking up at her curiously.
"I know he's only a baby but he actually looks like Thomas. Have you been cheating on my friend?" She asked, half serious and half joking.
"Wouldn't dream of it." He replied, kissing my cheek and making me blush. Even though we'd been together for so long, this boy's still got me helpless. Before anything else was said, Hayden started crying.
"Aw, what's the matter Bubba?" Angelica cooed, gently starting to rock the baby.
"He's just hungry." I smiled, getting the bottle from the bag and taking my little boy from my friend. He saw what was in my hand and quietened down, now only sniffling.
"Am I okay to put my feet on the sofa? It's the only way I can get comfortable to feed him."
"Go for it. The little guy's gotta eat." Peggy smiled. I sat how I usually did and cradled Hayden in my arms, his head against my elbow as he happily drank his milk and started to drift off to sleep. I leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"I can't wait to spoil him," Eliza smiled to her sisters.
"Don't spoil him too much guys." I said.
"Where's the fun in that?" Peggy protested. I shook my head - they would be more work than the baby.
