5 ~ Morning.

*Thomas' PoV*

At about eight in the morning, I walked back into mine and (Y/N)'s room, hushing a slightly crabby baby in my arms. Surprisingly, after his bottle last night, he didn't wake up until five minutes ago.

I looked up as I quietly closed the door behind me and smiled at my girlfriend who was laying in bed, slowly waking up. I walked to my side of the bed and sat down, still lightly bouncing Hayden in my arms. He quietened down and blinked up at me curiously before looking at the wall and reaching his hand forward. I looked where he was looking and saw that the morning sun was shining through the sun catcher hanging in the window, creating a colourful pattern on the white walls of the room.

"Can you see the colours?" I murmured to him. The baby simply gurgled in response and moved his head again at the sound of (Y/N) sitting up and yawning. I smiled at her as she immediately reached for Hayden and held him close to her chest.

"Good morning my little bean." She smiled as he grabbed two fistfuls of her *cough* my *cough* shirt. "And to you as well." She smiled, leaning over for a kiss.

"Good morning." I smiled. "Y'know what we do today?" I asked happily. She nodded.

"We officially become his parents." She replied, gently rubbing the baby's back as he rested against her chest, still staring at the colours on the wall in amazement. We sat quietly for a few moments, the three of us silently bonding, before we smelt the welcoming scent of breakfast being made. I heard the sound of a stomach growling. Both me and (Y/N) looked at each other.

"Was that you?" She asked.

"No, I thought it was you." I replied. We both looked down at Hayden who started crying. Ah, it was him. (Y/N) gently rocked him and he started to settle.

"I'm on my way down. Can you, as you would say, be a lamb and make a bottle?" She asked.

"Yup." I said, hauling myself out of bed and walking to the kitchen where my mother was cooking breakfast with my dad at the table, the two of them smiling and talking. The curtains were still closed and we were all still in pyjamas.

"Morning Sunshine." Ma said happily as I walked past and started fixing a bottle.

"Morning." I smiled. "Sleep well?"

"Well the baby didn't wake us if that's what you're asking." Dad replied.

"He didn't wake us either. Had a bottle at about half eleven then slept right through." I said. (Y/N) walked in wearing leggings and a hoodie - my hoodie so no surprise -  with Hayden in her arms. She smiled and spoke softly to him as he sucked on the strings.

"Good morning, sweet." My mother greeted.

"Good morning." My girlfriend smiled, passing over the baby so I could feed him. She stood by my side as we watched him, absentmindedly smiling. I looked up to see my parents staring at us, both had a smile on their faces.

"What?" We asked.

"Nothing." They Said, returning to the stove or newspaper.

"The Schuylers want to meet him, I was texting Angelica last night. I was thinking about walking down to theirs if the weather's nice." (Y/N) smiled up at me, her chin on my shoulder.

"I'm not too sure about the weather," Dad piped up. "It's pretty muggy out there."

"Oh I swear, if you've put all the mugs on the lawn again! Kids watch breakfast." Ma rushed out of the kitchen and we turned to see dad sipping his coffee from a bowl.

"If that isn't us in the future, I don't want it." (Y/N) laughed.
