Emilia's POV

Today is a new day, and I have to start searching for a job. It is bothering me since I got up at 6. I haven't slept the whole night and was staring at the ceiling. I barely slept for 2 hours and the time is 7:30 now. Nath is still asleep, and I love seeing her sleep. I can hear sounds from downstairs, and I can say both dad and Sophie are getting ready to start their new day.

I get up from my bed to brush and then I see Nath standing near the bathroom.

"Hey, sweety. Good morning" I say with a broad smile.

"Good morning, mommy," She says rubbing her eyes while yawning.

We start our daily routine. Nath brushes her teeth while I fold the blankets on the bed. I set aside dresses for us for today. After this, I bathe Nath and get her ready. She then goes down to have breakfast with everyone wearing a pearl lace summer dress. I then take a bath and wear a simple white shirt with black jeans and wear minimal makeup which includes mascara and lip gloss. I am not a big fan of it.

I go down and see Sophie and dad leaving, and I say goodbye to them. I have breakfast, and mom is feeding Nath. I give a goodbye kiss to Nath and leave home. I head straight to job center to find a job. As I go there, i can see many people like me who are searching for a job. I meet my friend Jack who works here.

"Hi Jack, Good morning" I greet him.

"Hey Em, How have you been?" He smiles brightly at me.

"I am doing okay Jack. How are Lily and your son Robin? You know Nath always asks me about him as she enjoys playing with him."

"Lily is great, and we were planning to visit you soon as Robin loves playing with Nath. I know you might be worried about losing your job, but I will help you out in finding a new one" Jack says reassuringly.

"Thank you, Commando. Let's start our search operation" I say giving a broad smile.

"Come on, Let's check out my laptop for all the suitable jobs for you."

We both are in his cabin, and he starts searching. As I have only completed my high school, there are not many options for me. I always thought of doing courses online, and I regret not doing them. I have to start doing as soon as I get a new job.

"I don't think there are any suitable jobs for you here Em," Jack says with a sigh.

"It's ok, Jack," I say with a sad smile. He notices the change in my expression.

He gives me a side hug as a way to console me "I will try my best to find a job suitable for you, if not here then somewhere else. Don't let that beautiful smile of yours fade away".

I smile, and we both say our goodbyes and leave. I call my cousin Elena that if she could find me some job in Chicago and I can also be nearer to my son. Yes, it might come as a shock to many people, but I do have a son, and his name is Sam and is the twin brother of Nath. We did not have financial support and then my cousin and her family volunteered to look after my son till I settled financially. He and my cousin's family visit me for every holiday, and there are very few people who know about him. Sam is a very naughty boy, and I know he misses, and I miss him too. I call him regularly to check up on him, and Elena always teases me for being extra conscious as I can't stop worrying about my babies.

Elena lifts the call on the first ring "Hello to my baby sister" she says cheerfully. This girl is full of energy all the time, and I don't understand how.

"Hello, Elena. How is Sam doing? Is he eating well?" I ask casually while sitting in my car.

"He is doing great, and he missed you people and was asking when were we visiting you people. How come you are talking to me today as always you talk to your son and forget about this sister" She said sarcastically.

"Come on; you know that I love you and stop acting hurt. I have something important to ask you, and so I am calling you" I say nervously while playing with my hair.

"Hey, you can tell me anything and you know I am always there for you."

"As you already know, I have lost my job, and I am searching for a new one. It would be helpful if could find a job for me in Chicago as I can be nearer to Sam" I say breathlessly.

"Just calm down mate. Take a deep breath and don't worry. I will find you a job here and when can u reach here then?"

"As Alec's wedding is next week, I will be flying to Seattle, and I guess you will also be coming. So we all can fly from Seattle to Chicago together then. What say?" I ask doubtfully.

"Yea, I have to attend Alec's wedding as he is an excellent friend, and your plan sounds perfect. Got to go sissy and Take care."

"Bye El and see u soon" I hung up the call, and it has already started drizzling. I have to get back home before it starts raining heavily. As I start driving, I think of the new journey which I am going to start in Chicago, and I am pretty excited and can't stop smiling.
