Getting married so soon wasn't part of my plan, I wasn't even thinking of getting a lover, my father kept telling me that this marriage is to save and protect Gulf but neither of us wanted this, there is no going back now besides I do want to help Gulf who seemed in danger all the time

It helped a lot that we are working in the same field, since we got married, the rest of Gulf's probation period will be with me, I'm lucky that he is a bit friendly and listen to me, I won't blame him if he avoids me or anything after what he suffered however, he is a strong man and he's doing his best

We spent the first three days after our marriage lazing at my place, we exchanged small talks from time to time, he also told me about two other incidents he went through that his parents doesn't know of, he was honest but all this time I could feel how much he hated his looks and feeling guilty toward his family

"that's all in the past Gulf, now that you officially have a bond you can start a new"

"how? Even if I'm marked people will still be affected by me" I looked stunned at him

"umm, Gulf, it seem you don't know much about the bond" he glanced to me in confusion

"what do you mean?"

"why do you think a special ink is used instead of the tattoo ink?"

"I don't know" I smiled seeing how focused he was on the subject

"this ink is more special than what you think, it also affect your body, I don't know how to explain it but to make it simple, it somehow seal away the effect of your blood, the only one who will keep being affected by your beauty is me since I'm your husband and we share the same mark" his eyes widened in disbelieve

"no way, is it really true?" he asked raising his shirt looking and touching his mark

"you can search online for more info"

"how do you know so much about it?"

"when I met you and heard about your story I read a few articles about special people like you and it led me to an article about the bonding, I thought I may find a way to help you" he looked so shocked by my words

"you are really nice Mew, thank you for trying"

"I know you can't trust me and even afraid of being this close to me but at least you can tell me anything, let me share your worries with you, oh, if you felt I started acting weird please kick me hard and throw me out" he faintly smiled

"I surely will" I was taken aback by his small smile, it was the first time I saw it since I met him

"I will send you the article I read, maybe you will understand it more than me"

"thanks, so this mark will make me look like a normal person outside"

"not just 'look like', you really became a normal young man, so enjoy yourself because you are free from now on" he went quiet staring at his mark

"I want to try it" he suddenly said making me flinch

"try what?"

"I want to go to the cinema"

"cinema? Why?"

"before I couldn't go since it's always packed with many people and I will surely get all attention, so I want to try going there today"

"today? Now?"

"yes" he jumped from his place, I could tell how eager he was to see if the story about the bonding is true

"alright, let's go"

"thank you" we quickly changed and drove to the closest one, we only found two action movies which were the last one for the day since we got there late but still the place was mostly packed with teens and adults, Gulf was so nervous slowly walking inside the movie theater

I noticed him trembling, he froze watching all the people inside, the fear was too much for him to handle that's why I reached holding his hand

"you will be fine, I'm here with you so don't worry" he glanced to me shivering at my touch

"I-I'm..." he tried to say smth, I pulled him to some seats in the middle front, we were surrounded by some different people

"see? No one even glanced at you, even earlier when we were buying the juice, didn't you notice how normally the cashier acted? Everything is fine" just when I finished talking the room went dark

"relax and let's enjoy the movie" I whispered glancing to the screen, I could feel he kept being restless for a while but thankfully the movie was great and he focused on it, when the movie ended

"that was a great movie!" I exclaimed

"yeah, the actors were talented and the plot is very captivating" Gulf said as we walked out

"so how do you feel? Being a normal man enjoying your time" he looked stunned as if he just realized that he was surrounded by people

"it feels so strange"

"you will get used to it, ah don't be scared or shocked if someone try flirting with you, you are good looking just like me"

"you think you're handsome?"

"of course, I'm confident in my looks and many confessed to me"

"strong bragging about your face and let's go eat, I'm hungry"

"I'm not bragging, I'm stating the truth" I was glad I could have a normal conversation with him, he was still being careful in public places but he was slowly getting used to being normal

At our first trip after marriage, we got a lot of attention since it was well known how I ended up marrying a special man, it didn't matter much for me but it kind of scared Gulf and he kept his distance from everyone, once we arrived to our destination, we found that a couple room reserved for us

"ah, sorry Gulf, I forgot to notify the manager to prepare separate rooms for us"

"it's fine, it's normal for married couple to share a room, it's me who keep acting like this"

"it's not your fault, you go and rest at that room, I will book another one" I patted on his head seeing how troubled and apologetic he is

"I'm sorry" I smiled and head to the reception booking a single room, luckily I found one

"rest well and come to my room if you felt afraid or anything"

"thank you"

"let's go do some sightseeing tomorrow after breakfast"

"alright, good night" I'm glad that everything is going very well between us, I was worried how will things turn to be after marriage and for some reason I'm still not affected much by his enchanting looks

It took a couple of months for Gulf to accept that he became a normal man, the aura around him was getting a little brighter unlike before and he started smiling more, he also became friendlier with the crew on the plane

"thank you Mew, thank you so much" his father thanked me when visiting noticing how brighter his son's became, Gulf was taking a shower

"I did nothing, it's your son who is brave enough to go out and enjoy himself"

"yeah, Gulf is a very strong man, he kept bearing many things since he was a child"

"well, I'm glad that everything is going well for him"

"it's all thanks to you"

"btw, I'm not in position to ask this but how are things with your relatives?" I asked with a low voice, the father looked a bit sad with a weak smile

"I won't forgive my brother who tried attacking my son, well, he also seems angry since Gulf's marriage and won't talk to anyone, for the rest it's becoming better, your bonding really helped us a lot"

"I'm glad to hear that but I hope your brother will wake up soon and realize his wrongdoings"

"I hope so, just in case be careful, I have a feeling that he may try visiting"

"I promise I will keep Gulf safe"

"take care of yourself too son" well everyone knows that parents have a six sense, Gulf's father's feeling were true, it happened after a trip, we spent the first day resting at hope, the next day, I was going to meet my two close friends

"Gulf? Want to come too? It's fun with them" I asked ready to go out by noon

"next time, I want to finish doing the laundry and finish the series I started before the trip"

"alright, call me if you need anything"

"sure, have fun" I met with my friends and we had a great time however in the middle of our talks I started feeling restless

"what did you miss your husband already?" one of them asked teasingly

"you should have brought him along"

"he wanted to rest more at home" I said taking my phone and calling him but he didn't answer so I excused myself and rushed back, once I got in I was shocked by what I saw, there was Gulf standing and glaring down to a man who was kneeling in pain

"Gulf!!" I rushed next to him, he looked surprised

"Mew? Why are you back early?"

"I called you but you didn't answer so I got worried"

"actually, this man here is supposed to be my uncle" we glanced to the old man

"you mean the one who..."

"yes, he came today saying he want to apologize but once I let him in he started saying all kind of perverted stuff and tried to touch me so I kicked him in the stomach" he explained glaring at the man, hearing that made me furious

"hey old man didn't know that Gulf is married already? How dare you attack him again"

"it's none of your business, Gulf is supposed to be mine, I've saw him grow up since he was a baby, he is mine!"

"Gulf is my husband, some perverted old man like you doesn't even deserve to show your face to him" he glared at me

"how dare you?! Gulf is-"

"mine" I interrupted holding Gulf closer, I could feel him flinching but he said nothing

"now get out of here and never come back or next time I will call the police"

"Gulf, I'm your uncle, you know how much I love you" he tried to earn Gulf's sympathy

"so disgusting, I don't want to see you for the rest of my life" he looked shocked and enraged, without uttering another word he left, I quickly let go of Gulf

"I'm sorry for touching you like that"

"it's fine, you did that to protect me, thank you"

"did he hurt you?"

"no I didn't even let him touch me"

"I'm glad, please don't open the door to him or any suspicious person next time"

"I know, I just thought he really wanted to apologize and he talked about how sorry he is toward my father so..."

"I understand that you are still feeling guilty about what happened with your relatives but let me say it again it's not your fault, it's his for being a pervert, I mean your other uncles didn't come close to you right?" he blinked for a moment

"you're right, they were affected by my looks but they avoided me"

"see? That's what a relative should do, well I'm sure he won't give up and will come after you again please be careful"

"I will, thanks again Mew, you even had to come back early for me"

"I promised your father I will keep you safe" he smiled thanking me again but I could still see sadness in his eyes and I didn't know how to comfort him, all I could do was keep him company and talk about random thing to make him forget even a little, I just wish I could find a way to make him move on all the bad memories he has
