Masks - By Lady Filcol

Ladybug and Chat Noir were perched on a roof just hanging out, the watching empty streets below.

"It's a shame about this Covid thing. No one is ever out anymore." Ladybug stated looking down at the sidewalk. Chat was crouched beside her, six feet away. The distance bothered the crap out of him, but there was nothing we could do about it.

"At least there are less opportunities for Hawkmoth. The only thing people can get upset about is quarantine." Chat grumbled. Not only was his lady requiring him to be 6ft from her, but now he had no way to escape from home as Adrien. School had gone strictly online, so who his one excuse to go out was gone. He had a right to be salty. Chat understood that this was to keep people safe, he was a hero after all. However, he couldn't help but feel like things have gotten a little bit out of control. He turned his head to the left to peer at his partner. Her eyes were solemn, and her smile faded to a point where it was non-existent. Chat couldn't bear to see his lady this way.

"Hey, at least we don't have to buy masks." Chat spoke, a little giddiness in his voice. Ladybug glanced up and to the right at a partner. Confusion was the only thing coming from her eyes.

"What?" The surprise and the mild undertone of sadness didn't shake Chat. In fact he expected it, and right now he depended on it.

"We already have masks!" Chapter gleefully I think tilted his head to the side, his fingers forming peace signs on either side of his mask. His broad smile plastered on his face with wide cheerful eyes. Ladybug facepalmed but couldn't help but laugh anyway.

"Chat... It doesn't work that way!" She giggled between words as she held her palm out in his direction. He knew that well, but he also knew that the joke would cheer her up. Chat smiled even wider when Ladybug's smile grew and frown vanished. Success, Chat thought to himself.

"You sure M'lady? They do have enough magic to hide my good looks. I'm sure if it was gone you couldn't handle me." Chat added on, as he began to close the gap between them.

"You still look good, Chat." ladybug stated as she used the tip of her gloved fingertip on the pointed nose of Chat's mask to push away the goofy smile he had. She turned her pink cheeks away from his bright green eyes.

"Oh?"

"Not like that..." She cut off. Who was she kidding if Adrian wasn't the boy she had wanted, she would have totally gone for Chat Noir. Somehow the two boys were very similar minus the fact of one being a hero and they're very different personalities.

Chat nearly melted for a brief moment when she touched him. He was getting what he craved so much for. Something that he got less of, thanks for the disease. This SUCKED. That sentiment would come back to him a few days later.

"I'm coming mother!" Adrien whined loudly, throwing his arms up to the ceiling as he laid in his bed.

"You're not dying Adrien. You simply have a cold." Plagg said firmly, tired of his friend's grumbling. Plagg was above Adrian, and he simply rang out a wash rag, spilling water over the boy's head.

"Ugh! Plagg!" Adrien shrieked, shooting up in his bed.

"It's Covid." Adrien went on as you rolled over and pulled his covers up over his head.

"It's a cold from Tuesday's rainstorm." Plagg clarified again, of course, to no avail.

"I should have actually worn a normal mask too." Adrien griped some more.

"It's NOT Covid!" Yup, 2020 just sucked. Plagg just hoped that Adrien would get over his cold soon. At least, he wasn't acting as badly as William did during the bubonic plague. Hopefully, things would be back to normal again soon.
