Installation 2: Introductions to the characters
So, for our purposes, you'll need a little bit more background information on these hybrids. And, you'll need to know a handful of humans as well. They were close to the group, and most my research is coming from their accounts. And so, let me begin with the 10 main people.
The first you need to know is Jerome. He is a bacca hybrid, natural-born. In case you don't know, that means he wasn't an experiment. His mother was a bacca, his father human. Jerome's hair is much shorter than an average bacca, as well as his hands are more human than a normal bacca's paws. He has five fingers with a retracting claw on each one, in replacement of nails. He also likes to wear suits, probably a more human aspect of him. He's very protective of those close to him, and is very colorblind- to the point where his life is in grayscale. Other than that, you don't need to know much about Jerome.
Now we bring you to Brandon, although he prefers Pete. I still haven't found that one out yet, but I'm working on it. He's a slime hybrid, and it's unknown of his birth. But based on the fact that he's a slime hybrid, I'd say he was a manufactured. That means he was an experiment, for those who may not know. Brandon is much like a normal slime; however he is shaped like a human. He has five stubby, sticky fingers with which he always seemed to struggle. He wears a suit as well, and from what I've heard looked very striking in it. He was definitely the spirit of whatever group he was in, and always knew how to brighten the mood. Just know that if Pete's sad, it's really bad.
One of the most interesting hybrids, however, was Preston. He is a lava hybrid, definitely manufactured. There is no natural way to create such a rare hybrid. Preston was human shaped, with a malleable, clear, obsidian-like skin. His body seemed to be filled completely with lava. He had no heartbeat, but a constant swish of the lava circulating under his skin. His eyes and mouth consisted of the same malleable obsidian-like material, except it was the black-and-purple color characteristic of obsidian. His fingers were much wider than those of a human, and very little lava flowed through them, making them nearly invisible. He wore a suit, although it was fireproof just in case. Preston was always a fairly innocent soul, often lost or confused by the behavior of humans. He was always addicted to new stories about human technology, though. The last big thing you need to know about Preston is that he had saved Kenny, a human, from death once. Ever since they had been very close friends.
Another very interesting hybrid was Mat, although his master called him Nooch. Yep, you read that right, master. Mat had been born human, and he was technically more cyborg than hybrid. He had been in a very bad crash, which killed both his parents and nearly killed him. However, he was saved by having all damaged organs replaced by mechanical parts, including most his skin and a lung. He had a fan in the back of his head, which constantly whirred. One of his hands remained human; the other was robotic all the way up his arm. His whole head was robotic, minus his brain which managed to survive. His heart, partially robotic, lies silently amidst a chest full of metal and covered by the same. His master was the man who'd paid for his surgery and taken custody of the cyborg afterwards. Mat was therefore a very polite boy, and acted much more like a slave to all humans than an equal, like he truly was.
The final hybrid is Choco; his real name is unknown to me. I don't think he even knew his real name. It is understood that he was manufactured, although I don't think he knew that. Choco seemed to know very little about himself, except that he didn't belong. He knew that all too well. He was a human-shaped yellow bird, always shaking and very weak. His fingers were just clustered feathers he could bend. His legs were very skinny, and orange in color. His mouth was a beak, yet the rest of him seemed typical enough. Except for the yellow feathers that covered his body, that is. Choco was always very nervous, and often went out of his way to be hurt. He tried so hard to be a bird like everyone else he knew, seeing as he lived in a colony of the yellow birds he looked like. Choco was the definition of lonely, an introvert. Choco was always very frightened and seeking for something, or someone, that made him feel comfortable.
Those are all the hybrids that you'll need to know. I'm not really in the mood to write about the humans right now, so I'll do that next detention. I guess, until then. Bye!
