Installation 1: Why I'm writing this
Hey, why are you wasting your time reading this? It's not going to get you much farther in life. Maybe you're one of the few people left who don't just care about what does you the best, I can wish. I guess I should get to explaining now why it is I'm writing this. No need to waste your time anyway. I'm sitting here in detention right now. Let me tell you, I end up here more often then I'd like to admit. But probably not for the reasons you'd imagine. I get sent here for standing up for those who can't: the bullied, the ignored, the depressed, and especially my fellow hybrids. Now, you're probably wondering why I would get in trouble for standing up for someone. Well, welcome to my hellish society! I hope yours is better than this one. Then again, I don't necessarily follow school rules when I stand up for these people. I believe in the "eye for an eye" ideal. I follow it very strictly, except when it comes to the situation in which death is involved. I've never killed anyone before. Fear not: there is no human or hybrid blood on my hands. Anything else isn't illegal.
Back on track, sorry about that. I'll do that a lot, be prepared. I'm kind of writing this in pen too so you know, no eraser. Don't mind my stupid mistakes. Anywho, my society. It actually used to be worse than this. This is the closest we've ever been to integration of hybrids and humans. In the past, hybrids couldn't go to school. Most couldn't even go into town without being beaten to death. It was quite idiotic, if you ask me. But that all changed because of 5 brave- well more so ignorant hybrids.
These 5 hybrids were nothing special. They were just at the correct age and could understand English. That's all that was required to be chosen. There were apparently more that were chosen, but simply refused to attend for safety reasons. They were so so smart. I wouldn't have done it if I was in their place. I'm gonna be honest, I don't think anyone truly understood what this meant. I don't think they could've had the slightest idea of what was going to happen, what they were starting. No one could have. The group of naïve hybrids changed the hybrid life forever. They created a new future, and all because they were too afraid to ask to leave. They wanted to leave almost immediately, I can almost promise you that. Could you even imagine what they went through? Being spat at, called inhumane names, threatened constantly. A lot of people have forgotten their sacrifice. They claim they did nothing special. "They were children, they didn't do anything" or "They couldn't care less what they were doing. They didn't care about their futures." See what I mean? They risked their lives to go to school, to get an education, to prove a point. Whether or not it was on purpose shouldn't matter. They still did it. They were still beaten. They were still disregarded. One of them committed suicide before they could graduate, because they were sick and tired of the pain. These hybrids, these beautiful people, were driven to hate themselves. And people disregard their sacrifice. Even other hybrids. And I find it sickening. And so, I'm going to do my research. I'm going to find actual accounts from their time in high school. And I'm going to prove to you exactly how much respect these people deserve. I'm going to show you exactly what they went through. And I will prove to you selfish monsters that these people are heroes, not just children.
