Chapter 10

Harry's POV

It's been a week since the wedding. A week since I've seen Leah. A week since I've felt my babies dance around under my hands.

The night of the wedding I had to fly back to California to collect the last of my belongings. I just so happen to purchase a little get away house here for future vacations once the babies are older, so I left some not-so-important possessions there.

My ride pulls up to the airport and I grab my bags, slip my shades down, and open the door to a mob of cameras and thirsty old men. Wow that sounds bad but it's true.

"How did the break up go?" Flash.

"Are y'all still friends?" Flash.

"Did you leave because you knocked her up too?" Flash, flash.

It takes everything in me to not to beat the living shit out of that man. I hate that paps stoop so low for a piece of crap story they try to hit you in a weak spot. I clamp my teeth together, keeping a poker face, and pushing on through to the doors.

"Are you running back to your baby mama?" Keep walking, Harry.

"Have you heard about Clair's new boyfriend?" I couldn't care less.

"Was the while thing really a publicity stunt?"

I turn to my right to face the man who asked the last question. At my sudden halt, all the other paps stopped and silenced, but continued to flash their cameras.

I look the man dead in the eye and slip my shades of before answering. "Yes."

While I had the chance I ran to the doors as all the invaders stood there a little shaken before charging after me but they were too late. I was safe.

In no time I'm through security and already boarding the plane.

It's 7am here and when I land it should be around 2am.

Louis better not forget to pick me up.

~

The plane ride wasn't terrible, it could have been worst. I was sat next to an elderly lady who couldn't help but keep showing me pictures of her grandchildren and when she realized that I was "the boy who her grand-daughter is going to marry and is going to have his kids". She sounded like Leah's grandmother when we first met.

Louis didn't forget me either but I could tell he didn't like the idea of having to get out of bed at 2am. His hair was a mess, he hadn't shaved in a week, I'm assuming, and he was still wearing his pajama pants.

"So how's everything been?" I ask as I buckle my seat belt. Louis jut stares straight a head and grumbles. Ok, never calling him for a favor again.

Because of Louis attitude the ride was silent all the way to my house. He did however have the radio down low so the low hum of The Fray sounding through out the car.

When he parked the car in my driveway he got out and walked over to the passenger side to me after I retrieve my bags.

"I'm glad your home Harry." He says and wraps me up in his arms. I drop my bag and do the same. It feels good to be hugged by a friend after a long roller coaster through hell. We stayed like that for a couple minutes, but when I thought Louis my fall asleep on my shoulder I pushed him away and made him go home.

Luckily when I entered the house the door didn't make a sound, nor did my shoes. I walk through the living room hoping Leah is in the bed and not on the couch. When I peek down at the piece of furniture there is a lumpy for there, but not nog enough or lumpy enough to be Leah.

It must be Cade.

I felt the vent blow above my head and watched at tiny bumps blanketed the small, pale, shivering girls arms. I grabbed the blanket from the back of the couch and draped it over her small frame. Almost instantly she stopped shivering. I smiled and started to walk up the stairs, but not before I noticed a bottle of water and waste basket next to the couch and a big bottle of pills on the table in front of her.

I didn't know much about Cade, the first time I met her was at the wedding, but from what Leah told me the girl had a crappy home life and parents, and Leah was pretty sure she was beyond a little sick.

I continue up the stairs until I reach our room and carefully open the door careful not to make a sound. I allow a tiny bit of light to seep in, just enough to outline my wife's sleeping figure.

She had her head on her feather filled pillow and her arms and legs wrapped around her floral printed body pillow.

I stripped my pants off and slowly climb in behind her.

She stirs slightly as I drape an arm over her side, resting a hand right over the babies. The warmth seeping from my hand to them causing them to stir as well.

"Harry?" She attempts to turn and look at me but I raise up on one arm to keep her from straining her self.

"It's me, baby." I whisper back and kiss her temple.

She smiles lazily, making me want to explode into laughter. I hold it in and just smile as she laces her fingers with mine that rest on her bump.

"Welcome home." I kiss her head again and nuzzle my face into the crook of her neck.
"By the way," she clears her throat. "The girls are dragging me out to shop tomorrow because according to my appointment three days ago I'm probably going to be on bed rest soon, which means-"

I cut her off.

"Go to sleep, love." I yawn. "I promise I'll be here in the morning."

Where else would I want to be anyway?
