Revise.... This feels a lot better

Splinters (POV)
I was finishing up cleaning the living room waiting for my sons to return from there nightly patrol, it helps me keep busy other then meditating. My ears caught footsteps walking to the lairs entrance, knowing they were my 4 sons finally returning home gave me a better piece of mind. I heard them whispering to each other and walking in and noticing me in the living room. I walked up to them. "How was tonight's patrol my sons?" I asked them as they all shrug. "Nothing much tonight father there were some foot bots that were around some roofs so we dealt with them." Leonardo said calmly, I nod and was about to return to my room for the night until they all rushed in front of me stopping me from walking any further. "Yes?" I asked curiously, they all take time to look at each other nervously. Raphael shoved Leonardo forward a bit so I look to Leonardo to continue only to have Michelangelo speak up. "actually sensei we wanted to know some things." Michelangelo said as he took me to the couch and sat me down as his brothers followed. "Ok?" I was starting to get concerned for my sons and the way they didn't really know what to say or word what they were trying to say. "Ok first question was it hard to take care of us as turtle tots?" Donatello asked, I though about it for a bit and nodded. "There where some trouble with taking care of you boys, but it wasn't to hard because I took care of Miwa first." I answered. Donatello nodded and looked at his brothers. "Sensei? did we ever have a mom?" Michelangelo asked suddenly. My heart skipped a bet slightly just remembering the times (Y/N) would hold one of the turtles and cradle them to help them sleep and hum softly to them to cover the loud car horns or fire trucks driving by. Thinking about (Y/N) I took a deep breath and shook my head. "I mean of course your real mom is in the ocean or something, you boys never really had a mother figure... Why do you ask? is there something you boys want to inform me?" They all looked at one another again as Raphael came forward. "just be straight guys I want to go to bed. Sensei we ran into someone and they said they knew you and us. we just want to confirm if there really was such a person like that." I take time to ponder this slightly. If they have ran into her it might be best to tell them to avoid her, {Y/N) should not be apart of this life, that's why I left when I did. "hmm... I see... It will be best for avoid this again, you boys are not allowed to be seen, we will train more on your stealth tomorrow. Do not continue contact with this person is best, now it is late, you boys should get to bed, you have training in the morning." I spoke as I got up from the couch and pass all for of them to walk to my room. I sat down on my meditation blanket then covered my face. 'They could have meet (Y/N), I mean New York is a big city, though it was likely a matter if time they would run into each other. That night I couldn't stop thinking of (Y/N).

Sucky chapter I know but hopefully it gets better and better, like and comment and I'll post more soon.
