CHAPTER 49

"She looks so cute! Right P?!"

Kongpob's excited and loving voice filled the chirpy morning atmosphere of the hospital room bringing a wide smile onto Arthit's face.

"Oh, Kong! You have been complementing about her for the fast few minutes from now!"

Arthit let out his words softly as for not to wake up the two babies in the cradle few feet away.

"I can't stop complementing her P! Our two daughters are so beautiful and cute! These both are the first two girls that I have fell in love within the first sight!"

Kongpob smiled while caressing his youngest daughter's cheeks who smiled showing her toothless mouth.

"You are right Kong! They are indeed so miraculously beautiful!"

Arthit placed a soft kiss on top of his daughter's forehead and smiled widely as he saw her playing with her Mommy's thumb finger.

It was early in the morning and the sun was just rising from its shade to give its warmth that replaced the cold shill of the darkness, giving an orange and yellow hue to the sky.

Kongpob and Arthit were sleeping peacefully and it was then they heard a shrieking cry from one of the cradles.

Kongpob stood up quickly as soon as he heard the cry and rushed towards the cradle from where the cry was heard.

He took his youngest baby daughter who was crying so badly that tears were forming from the corner of her eyes. Kongpob held her close towards his chest and started rocking her in his arms while wiping the trail of tears pouring out of her eyes with one of his hands.

He slowly hummed a song while taking her with him towards his bed where Arthit looked over at him with pitiful eyes.

Kongpob smiled at his husband and assured him that everything was okay. He asked Arthit to make the milk so he could give it to their baby daughter to fill her stomach.

Kongpob and Arthit smiled as they saw her drinking her milk while looking at her Daddy and Mommy with her round black eyes. A small smile was plastered on her tiny lips while she drank her milk.

The baby was not returning back to sleep on her cradle when every time Kongpob tried to put her back on the cradle. She would start crying when she starts feeling the warmth of her mother disappearing from her when she is placed inside the cradle.

So, Kongpob decided to hold her in his arms and sit on his bed while admiring her beautiful features along with his husband who was more than happy to do so.

"Aw Kong! Remember P'Priya told us to find the names of the babies so that we could fill the form and get discharged in the afternoon? Did you find any names Kong?"

Kongpob looked up to his husband's face which had an excitement glimmering in it.

"Well.......I have a few suggestions in my mind..."

"Really? Me too! Kong, how about we discuss their names now? Anyway, we are not going to sleep with her in your arms right? What do you think dear?"

Kongpob nodded his head happily and both of them started giving out their suggestions to one another to find the perfect name that suits for their babies. They didn't even notice that the baby girl in Kongpob's arm was fast asleep while holding her mother's thumb finger.

*******

"Mae, can you please stay here? I will change my clothes and bring Aroon with me."

Kongpob's Mae who came to the hospital early morning smiled at her son-in-law and nodded his head as she looked over at her son who was sleeping to the right side with his daughter engulfed in a warm hold.

As Arthit left the room, Kongpob's Mae came and sat beside her son and smiled warmly at the beautiful scenery in front of her.

The babies were fast asleep so there was not much duty for Kongpob's Mae to hold upon. The babies were less troublesome at night compared to how Aroon was when he was during this position. Only the youngest baby girl had some problems during the nights but they were able to keep up through it.

Kongpob's Mae, Nai, released a sigh of distress as she remembered about the favor she had agreed to do for Arthit.

Arthit himself the previous day had told to his mother-in-law that they have to tell Kongpob about Merlin's condition and her real reason for her actions to Kongpob because he doesn't want Kongpob to misunderstand her throughout their life. Even though Arthit was still not able to forgive Merlin for her actions, he doesn't want anyone to blame her without knowing the real reason. He had asked his mother-in-law to speak about Merlin to Kongpob since he didn't have the strength to tell about Merlin to his husband after the incident and Nai had agreed to it wholeheartedly even though she felt a little insecure about talking about Merlin to her son.

As Nai was in deep thoughts, she didn't realize her son waking up from his sleep and looking at her with concerned eyes.

"Mae? Are you ok?"

Kongpob shook his mother's shoulders to gain her attention.

"Oh Kong? You already woke up? Sorry, Mae was in deep thoughts."

Nai said with a warm smile on her face that made Kongpob relaxed.

"Are you sure Mae? Is anything disturbing you?"

"No son, I was just thinking about you. Nothing else."

"Mae... you know that I am fine now right?"

"Yeah yeah I know! Can't I be concerned about my own son?" Nai chuckled.

Kongpob chuckled and slowly sat up on his bed without disturbing his daughter who was beside him.

"Where is PArthit mae?"

Kongpob asked as he looked around the room.

"Pff! Your mae is sitting here and you are asking for your husband!"

"Maee....."

"Haha! Don't worry! He just went home to change his clothes, he will come back with Aroon to take you guys home."

Kongpob smiled and nodded his head.

Just after a few seconds, Kongpob walked to the washroom to brush his teeth and to take a fresh shower so that he could get ready to go back home.

Kongpob sat on hs bed back after his bath while his Mae, on the other hand, was peeling fresh oranges for him to have.

Kongpob took the TV remote from the table beside his bed and turned the TV on.

As soon as Kongpob turned the TV on a news about a lady made Kongpob's hand froze in the air with the TV remote in his hands.

"The lady who escaped from the Mental Hospital last week was found near the cemetery of the East Church in an unconscious state with her head hit on the rocks."

"Reports say that he had been in the condition for three days and it might be difficult for her to survive even after surgery as her nerves in the head region have major clotting."

As the news reporter continued with the information Kongpob's Mae looked over at her son's face in concern.

Kongpob was still in shock as he saw the news flashing photos of Merlin.

"Kong?"

Nai called out for her son softly.

"Huh?"

Kongpob looked at his Mae puzzled.

"What is this Mae? What happened to Merlin? Why is she in a mental hospital?"

Kongpob asked his Mai in his most calm voice as possible so that he will not wake up his daughter who was lying beside him.

Nai sighed and started telling what all have happened when Kongpob was unconscious in the ICU after his delivery.

Kongpob carefully listened to the incidents that happened to Merlin from his mother.

Kongpob had deep hatred in his mind for Merlin, it was not because she caused him to have a battle with life and death, it was no because she caused so much pain for him. But, it was because of the reason that she caused him the lives of his babies.

If anything had happened to his babies because of her actions, he doesn't know what he might have done. But one thing he was sure that he won't let Merlin live a peaceful life.

But after hearing about Merlin's life and the obstacles she had made Kongpob feel pity for her. He knows how hard it might be when you feel the love of your life gaping away from the clutches of your life. He knows how hard it might be for her to come into her real state of mind after losing the love of her life.

But he couldn't forget what had happened to his life because of her.

He almost lost his babies.

"Kong? Kong? Are you ok?"

Nai shook her son's shoulder as she sensed no response from him after she explained about Merlin's state.

Kongpob snapped out from his thoughts and looked at his Mae who had concern filled in her eyes.

"Huh? Yeah, Mae, I'm fine. I was just....thinking....you know..."

"Son, don't stress about it much. I it all in the past ok? Now cheer up. Your lovely husband will be back any minute to take his husband and children back home."

Kongpob smiled and nodded his head.

Soon as time passed the three babies woke up from their slumber giving a hard time for both Kongpob and his Mae.

After 2 hours Arthit got back into the hospital room all fresh with new clothes. The scene which greeted him made a smile spread over his face.

Kongpob was playing with the three babies with his Mae helping to change the clothes of the babies.

The way Kongpob made funny faces to their babies and how he would speak in baby voice always made Arthit's heart whelm up with gratefulness and pleasure.

"Oh, P'Arthit? You came! Where is Aroon?"

Kongpob asked as he walked to his husband while looking behind him to find his son.

"Aroon said he wants to stay home to welcome you home. So, I let him stay there, besides our friends are also there with him."

Kongpob smiled and nodded his head.

Before Kongpob turned away to look after the babies, Arthit pulled him into a hug and nuzzled his head in the crook of his neck, inhaling the sweet smell if his husband that made him feel at home. His home.

Kongpob was shocked by the sudden pull from Arthit but soon he smiled as he felt his husband hugging him. He closed his eyes and melted in the warm feeling of being hugged. He flt Arthit placing small kissed in his neck.

"Ahem!"

Arthit and Kongpob soon pulled away from the daze as they heard a sound from two persons.

Kongpob and Arthit looked to the source of voice to find Nai and Priya standing with a smile on their faces.

They didn't even notice Priya walking into the room when they were hugging.

"Don't make out in front of us you lovebirds! Go home as fast as you can after filling up the forms!"

Priya told to her two cousins with a teasing smile playing on her lips.

Kongpob and Arthit scratched the back of their neck in embarrassment and soon heard the two ladies laughing at their reaction.

Arthit then excused himself from the room to fill the hospital forms and the birth certificates of the babies before Kongpob and the babies get discharged from the hospital.

 *******

"SURPRISE!!!!"

A loud scream was heard as soon as Arthit opened the door to their home after getting discharged from the hospital. Kongpob smiled as he pushed the stroller of the triplets which they had brought after they knew they were having triplets into the house.

Arthit and Kongpob looked at each other and smiled as they saw their friends standing in the middle of the entrance room with the full living room decorated with balloons and scrap papers and big hanging letters attached to the walls that read 'WELCOME HOME'.

Aroon came running towards his Mommy and hugged him tightly.

"Welcome home Mommy!!"

Aroon exclaimed as he was engulfed in a tight hug by his mother.

"Thank you, Aroon!"

Kongpob kissed his son's both cheeks as lots of emotions filled up his heart.

"Welcome back Kongpob!"

All of their friends exclaimed in happiness in a normal voice as Arthit told them to speak softly so that they won't scare the babies who are still not familiar with their new surroundings.

"Thank you all! You guys didn't have to do this at all."

"Oh, come on Kong! You have come home after a very tragic event and we should celebrate it of course!"

Bright spoke with his mouth which had no filter at all, which rewarded him two smacks on his head from his cute husband Rome and his best friend Tootah.

"Ouch! You guys are going to make me a stupid if you continue smacking my head like this!" Bright hissed.

"As if you are not stupid." Tootah snorted

All of them laughed as they saw Tootah and Bright bickering as if they were still those university students.

Kongpob felt a great warmness as he saw the effort his friends have made for them. Little did he know that this welcome party had something to do with his dear P'Arthit.

Kongpob felt a great warmness whelming up in his heart as he saw the effort his friends have made for them. Little did he know that this welcome party had something to do with his dear P'Arthit.

Kongpob was distracted when he heard a sudden cry from one of the babies.

Everyone turned their attention from each other to the stroller as they saw Kongpob taking his son in his arms.

"Don't cry...shhh...don't cry, baby...Mommy is here."

Kongpob said calmly trying to calm his crying baby as he rocked him in his arms.

"P'Arthit, give me the milk please."

As soon as Arthit heard Kongpob asking him, he quickly took out the milk bottle from the bag that was kept under the stroller and gave it to Kongpob who quickly kept the sipper of the milk bottle into baby's small mouth who happily drank with twinkling eyes.

Their friends just looked at the couple in awe as they saw them being in their own land. They were always amazed by how these two got along well, Kongpob and Arthit were always polar opposites.

They were especially surprised by Arthit who had changed a lot through these years. Arthit had always had a soft spot for Kongpob that they have never failed to notice. Overall they were happy seeing their grumpy friend getting along with his family.

Aroon who stood beside his Mommy stood on his toes to take a glance upon his baby brother.

All laughed as they saw Aroon trying to take a glance of the baby but failed miserably.

Aroon pouted as all his uncles and aunts laughed at him.

"Here, now you can take a look at him Aroon."

Aroon looked over at his Mommy who bends down in his knees to reach Aroon's height.

Aroon smiled widely and touched the soft fingers of his baby brother who looked at him with his round black eyes.

"Look, Uncles and Aunts! My brother is soo cute right!?"

All Kongpob and Arthit's friends laughed while they answered a big yes to their friend's son.

Kongpob and Arthit smiled seeing their eldest son's reaction as he adores his little brother.

Kongpob, later on, places the baby on the stroller and pushed it into the living room as he settled on the sofa along with everyone else.

While they were deep inside their conversations, tent failed to see that Aroon on the side was trying to carry his youngest baby sibling in his arms.

Kongpob was laughing and having a great time with his seniors and friends, recollecting all the memories of their love journey.

It was then Kongpob noticed how Aroon was standing on his toes to the stroller, trying to get hold of the baby.

"Aroon...."

Kongpob called softly.

Aroon looked at his Mommy and soon kept his hands behind him as if he never tried to do anything wrong.

"Y...Yes, Mommy?"

"Come here Aroon dear....''

Aroon took small steps to his Mommy and asked him why he had been called for.

"Do you want to hold your baby sister?"

A small smile spread over Aroon's face as he hears the words.

"Can I Mommy!?"

"Of course dear! Not before you sit on the sofa between Mommy and Daddy.

"Ok!"

Aroon quickly sat between his parents.

"Slowly ok? Don't hold her tight. Yeah, like that....good boy.."

Aroon's face was radiant with happiness and awe as he held his baby sister in his arms.

"She is so cute Mommy! Soo soft!!"

All the members in the room chuckled as they heard Aroon's praising words for his sister.

"Kathy! Come here! Look how cute our baby sister is!"

Aroon called out for his girlfriend who was sitting beside her two mothers with a smile on her face as she watched her boyfriend looking at his siblings like they hung the moon.

Kathy ran towards Aroon as soon as he called her, just after that she also joined with Aroon in praising.

"They really get along well Kong," Prae said to her best friend as she watched Aroon and Kathy admiring their new baby sister.

Kongpoba smiled and nodded his head.

"Aw Kong! You didn't tell us the names of the babies!"

Oak asked excitedly to his friend whose face was gleaming more as they talked about the babies' names.

"Oh yeah! That's correct! I wonder what are the names you chose!" Rome exclaimed in excitement.

Arthit and Kongpob smiled at each other and took both the babies in the stroller into their arms. Each one in each arm.

"So, dear friends. Meet my eldest daughter, firstborn of the three, Achara." Kongpob introduced his first baby with a wide smile on his face.

"Guys, meet my son, second born of the three, Aysel."
There was a glow in Arthit's face as he introduced his second son to their friends.

"Last but not least...."

Arthit and Koob bent down on their knees as they looked at the baby in Aroon's arms.

"Meet our youngest member of the family, our youngest daughter, Daw."
