Temari picked up her duffel bag as she raged out of the room leaving behind a few sighs.

"Asshole! Fuck you!!" With that she shut the door.

"She's so troublesome dammit!!" A low sound of guilt came from the corner.

Naruto and Ino eyed the pineapple head and folded their arms and poited at him.

"Its all your fault Shikamaru. We could've done this without any hastle but you always have to be an ass."
Naruto rebuked.

Shikamaru cringed, "What?!! Its her fault always. Bossing us around, a few counters should've not anger her."

Shikamaru looked away as some thief denying his theft. He didn't knew what was this guilt that was eating him.

Ino couldn't take it anymore and banged her fist on the table. "Are you an idiot Shikamaru? Is it always the problem that you guys fail to understand the feelings of a girl?"

Shikamaru could see that look in his old friend, that "always right" look that was as if she was reading his mind and she looked scary than ever.

"What are you ev-"

"She totally likes you." Ino said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Yeah I kinda noticed it too." Naruto sighed.

Shikamaru kinda felt trapped for the first time in his life. And this was the hardest of all.

Shikamaru could not think what to say, it was so weird. He himself wasn't sure of his feelings and now he hear this.

Shikamaru without thinking said, "Whatever, I hate her."

He in a second regretted what he just said out of guilt. Before he could neutral out his statement a sound of bag dropping was heard at the door.

The three eyes moved right to see Temari standing there, unexpectedly shocked to her soul.

Shikamaru's eyes widened as he saw huge teardrops coming out of Temari's forest pool eyes. She leaving her bag ran as fast as she could leaving the others dumbstruck.

"Oh noooo!!!!!" Ino and Naruto said in unison.

They looked at Shikamaru, his eyes showing somewhat guilt and fear.

He didn't seem in a state of talking. Ino knew him. He never meant those words and now regretted to his very soul. She held him and the three walked out of the room. Without any talks they went home.

"Stay calm." Ino advised Shikamaru as she and Naruto the other way.

Shikamaru walked into his house. His eyes were heavy and without dinner, he went to sleep. It was killing him. "I hate her!" He couldn't even imagine how she felt and he?, well he was dying inside.

Obviously he had Temari always on his list but on the top. She was the only girl who matched his thoughts. Without him understanding any feelings for her, his feelings, he blurted out the most hurting words ever. And now regret was killing him.

The next day, Shikamru hurried to the Maths class, his most awaited class, as he always got to see "her". He wanted to say sorry. He wanted to get his feelings out. He was waiting but no.

He couldn't find her. He looked around for Gaara and Kankuro her brothers, but no one was around.

"Hey Shikamaru!" A pinkette came to him and flashed a happy go lucky smile at him. He needed it.

"Its rare to see 'you' running around. Is everything alright?" She asked.

Yes she was right, the energy conserving guy never ran this much.

Shikamaru sighed and asked her. She was a quite close friend of Temari and they at times shared the same temper.
"Sakura, did you see her? Temari? None one is here? Neither her nor her brothers."

He could see gloomy look in Sakura's eyes. Before he could ask she said, "Don't you know Shikamaru? Their mother died. Only yesterday night. They had gone back to Suna for a few weeks."

Shikamaru could not believe it. Yesterday he just blurted out the most regretful words and later that night, her mother dies??!! It must've been her worst day ever.

Shikamaru held Sakura's wrist and dragged her with him as they ran.

"What??!! Just leave me Shikamaru!!" Sakura pleaded.

Shikamaru looked at her intensely and Sakura knew what her friend's look meant. Do what I say.

He let go of her and said to her, "Go at the gate I'm coming back in a minute."

She went as told because she knew everything. It wasn't even a minute as Ino reached home yesterday, before she started gossiping over the phone with her best friend Sakura about all that happened. Ultimately Sakura knew it all and knew it was time to help Shikamaru.

She waited at the gate and saw Shikamaru coming along with Sasuke.

She raised a brow as she didn't knew of all people why he brought the fucking ice block with him.

"He has a car."

Sasuke sighed as he gave a look at the pinkette as if admiring her.

Sakura cringed and almost yelled. "Shikamaru don't tell me you're planning to go to Suna?!!! It'll take half of the day to reach there. I don't even have the money!"

"He has! Sakura you are coming with me! I can't wait. Not now. Please." Shikamaru pleaded.

Sakura couldn't deny him. It was almost against her dignity as Sasuke owed her a favour. "Fine!"

As soon as they sneaked out, they started the car and drove out.

"Please please please!! Be alright, I'm coming!!!" Shikamaru prayed as they reached Suna at night. Sakura gave him the directions for her house and they drove it to her house.

Almost a castle like house, they sure were hella rich. He ran as fast as he could as he saw a tint of blonde in the garden. It was she sitting all alone.

Temari sipped the tea. She was rather confused how her life just became complicated. First the "I hate you" and then this. It was killing her. With a dead look all she could hear was, "I hate her, I hate her, I hate her, I h-"
"I love you!"

Temari furrowed her brows as to why this word came out of her thoughts so loud. But she came into realisation of what it actually was. She turned around to see a Shikamaru panting heavily.

She could see a pink and raven coming from behind. Her eyes were heavy as she saw Shikamaru and his reaction almost felt warm to her.

"Temari I'm sorry!!!" He said out loud.
She clenched her fist.

"Temari!! I lo-" before he could finish that sentence a fist came raging and landed on his face.

"Shikamaru!!" Sasuke and Sakura looked at him but dared not to go near Temari.

Shikamaru tried to get up as Temari helped him by grabbing his collar and looked at him.

"You fucking moron!! You come all the way to say that??!???!??" She looked intensely as if whatever next Shikamaru would say she'd kill him nevertheless.

Shikamaru held to his feelings and stood up.

"Temari. I never meant those words! I love you. I'm sorry to tell you theus late, but you were the only one. You were my first priority starting from the very first day we met. I love you. I love you Temari."

Temari burst out into tears and kneed down and started crying. "I hate you Shikamaru. I ha...te...you.. I hate yo-"

Her cries got louder as Shikamaru sat and raised her face at him and met her lips with his. Sakura gaped at this and realised a bit later that her finger were intertwined with someone else.

She looked up as she saw Sasuke looking intently at the couples and probably did not realize it either.

Sakura slowly let go of his hands before Sasuke comes back to earth. She blushed and took her hand to her chest. She loved how he held her.

Temari was quite during the kiss, much shocked. And was embraced in a tight hug by Shikamaru.

"I love you and always will. Say what you want, I know it. Its alright." He smiled as he caressed her back making Temari hug him tightly and cry again.

"I hate you!! I hate... Her words toned down a bit.... I love you."

Shikamaru and his accompanies smiled at her and they decided to drive back after Temari telling him she'll come back at the earliest.

"Shikamaru I'm tired. Can you drive?" Sasuke  requested.

"Yeah okay." Shikamaru for the first time sounded cheerful.

Sasuke and Sakura sat back as both of them slept. Sakura rested her head on Sasuke's shoulder. Sasuke looked at Sakura and smiled. He never did. He let her sleep innocently and rested his head on hers.

Shikamaru smiled as now he finally has the reason to. For him Temari was everything.

His romantic love story started as he looked back at Sasuke and Sakura and chuckled as another complicated one was coming about.
