That evening.

"Goodnight, Princess."

"Goodnight, mommy.."

Jessica kisses Autumn's cheek then softly caresses it.

"I'm happy you and Danny are getting married.."

Jessica smiles softly.

"But.. are we really moving? What about my daddy?"

Jessica sighs and says, "I don't know, baby. I'm going to talk to Danny tonight."

"Don't fight, please."

"We're not gonna fight, baby. Now go to sleep."

"Okay.. Wait! Do you think Simba had a good birthday?"

"I think he had a great birthday!"

"The cake we had for him was yummy!"

"Wasn't it? My baby.." Jessica then got teary eyed.

She pictured what her baby boy would look like on his first birthday. Running around saying 'Mama'.
Her heart so badly.

Autumn smiled softly and wrapped her arms around her mother. "He's still here, mommy. Don't be sad."

"I know, baby. I feel him. It still hurts though."

"I know."

"Now get some sleep. You're going to daddy's tomorrow! Fun stuff." Jessica smiles.

"Yeah! I'm so excited!"

Jessica smiles and kisses her goodnight.

Once she tucks her in she goes back to the bedroom.

"Babe, maybe it's time Julia starts sleeping in her crib."

"What do you mean? She does sleep in her crib."

"I mean in her room."

"No! I have to have her near me in case she has trouble breathing at night! She needs to be close, Danny!"

Danny sighs and walks over to her.
"Baby, I want you tonight.. I feel weird when we do it with her in the room."

"You did it when she was in me."

"That was different. She can hear us, Jess."

"Danny before we do all that, we need to talk."

"About what?"

"You know what, Daniel."

Danny sighs and sits on the bed.

"Okay. Start yelling."

"No, I don't want to yell, Daniel. I just want to know why you didn't speak to me first. You know Sam and I co parent. Is this because you're jealous of him?"

"Are you serious, Jessica? NO!"

"Lower your voice! I told her we wouldn't fight."

"This job is better for us! I'm doing it for us, for our family, Jessica!"

"How are we going to do this? Almost two hours away from Sam, our family and our friends!"

"It's not a big deal. I'll be making more money, we can put Julia in daycare—"

"Daycare? Hah! Put my baby in daycare?!"

"Well if it's too much for you!"

"No one outside of our family is going to be taking care of my baby, Daniel."

"Okay well I'm just trying to help!"

"And Autumn! Her friends are here, Danny!"

"Autumn is a very outgoing and sweet girl. She'll make new friends."

Jessica scoffs.

Danny walks over and takes her hands.
"Jessica please! This is better for us! I don't want to go without you. I really thought you'd be on bored, baby. This is a good thing."

Danny then kisses her cheek and holds her in his arms.

"Oh Danny.. I appreciate it, I do.. it's just such a change!"

"Change is good!"

"When do we have to leave?"

"June."

"Okay.." Jessica sighs.
"It'll be quite a change for us all."

"I know. But it'll be great for us, baby!" Danny smiles and rubs her back.

The next morning Jessica got she and the baby ready to drop Autumn off at Sam's.

In the car ride over Autumn asked her mother about the move.

"Mommy?"

"Yes baby?"

"What did Danny say? Are we moving?"

Jessica swallows hard and takes a deep breath.
"Honey, it's a really good job—"

"I don't wanna move!" Autumn says loudly and on the verge of tears.

"Baby girl, I'm going to talk to daddy. We'll figure something out, you'll still see him!"

"What about my school? My friends! Mommy, please!"

"Autumn.. I know it hard but—"

"I don't want go!" She sobs.

"Autumn, I'm sorry!"

Arriving at Sam's Jessica wipes Autumn's tears and tells her to calm down.

"Breathe. It's okay. Let's just talk to him, love."

Autumn nods her head and sniffles.
Jessica kisses her cheek then takes the baby out or her carrier.

Julia fusses a bit and kicks her chubby little legs.
"Oh I'm sorry, were you comfortable? Well you're okay." Jessica chuckles.

Autumn rings the doorbell and Megan greets them.
"Hi! Oh the baby's here! Can I hold her, please?"

"Of course!" Jessica hands her over.

Autumn hugs Megan then runs to her father and hugs him as well.

"Hey Auttie! You okay?"

"My mommy's getting married."

"What?! Oh Jess, congratulations!" Megan hugs her.

"You're getting married?" Sam asks.

"Yeah." Jessica smiles softly and shows them the ring.

"Oh wow.. congratulations!"

"Thank you, Sam.."

"And we're moving!" Autumn cries.

"You're moving?" Sam's eyes widen.

"Danny got a job offer in Bayfield Wisconsin.."

"Oh.."

"Our schedule won't change. I'm not going to be working so um.. I'll drive up here for the switch."

"Well we can meet halfway."

"Daddy I don't want to leave you guys!"

Sam gets down to Autumn's level and says, "Hey! Don't cry, love! It'll be okay. Nothing will change! We'll all still see each other. Bayfield isn't too far-"

"It's an hour and forty minutes away!" Autumn says.

"That's nothing, baby girl. I'd travel a million miles just to see you for a second!"

"I love you, daddy!" Autumn wraps her arms around him and sobs.

"I love you too, Princess."

Months went on and the wedding planning began.
Danny and Jessica decided to have a very small wedding with close friends and family.
The wedding was set for June 8th. The day before their big move.

One big fight that lasted a while was whether or not to invite Sam.

"I don't understand why he has to be there. He's your ex lover, Jessica!"

"He's my friend, Danny! I don't want to get married without my closest friends there!"

"I don't feel comfortable with him around, Jess!"

"Why?! I'm marrying you, asshole!"

Danny stopped and looked at Jessica.
"Don't call me that."

"Why not? You're acting like one!"

"I'm an asshole because I don't want some guy that has seen you naked at my wedding?
Pre babies might I add! Meaning he remembers it when it was great!"

Hearing that hurt Jessica.
"Danny! I know my body isn't great but.. do I disgust you?"

"No! Come on, just-"

"No that's how you made it sound! I've had three babies, Danny. I'm proud of the way my body looks!"

"Jessica." Danny sighs.

After that Jessica didn't speak to Danny for a week.
Of course they made up and things were back to normal.

It is now June 8th. Danny and Jessica's wedding.
While Jessica got ready with her, mother, sisters, daughters and a few friends, she was completely clueless as to what was about to happen.

When she heard a knock on the door Sarah went over to see who it was.

"Sam! Hey!" Sh smiled.

Jessica turned around and smiled at Sam.
"Sammy! I'm so glad you came!"

"Yeah, I wouldn't miss it.. Wow.. you look beautiful."

"Thank you, Sam!"

"Could I speak to you alone?"

"Of course! Come this way. You guys make noise out here and don't be nosey!" Jessica points her finger.

Sam followed her to the back froze when she turned to him.

"Sam? What is it?"

"I.. I uhm.."

"Is everything okay?"

"I love you."

"What? I love you too, Sam." Jessica chuckles.

"No. I Love you!"

"What?"

"It's always been you, Jess."

"Sam.."

"I mean it.  I don't want you to marry Danny.  Please don't marry him!"

"Sam, you're with Megan."

"And I love her.. but-"

"No! No buts, Sam. I went to your wedding to do exactly what you're doing now.. but I didn't go through with it because I knew you were in love with her! You don't love me like that anymore, Sammy."

"You were coming to tell me you still loved me?"

Jessica wipes her cheeks and nods.
"Yes. But I didn't because I knew it was wrong."

"No, it's not wrong! I love you and I've never stopped loving you. Getting over you was the hardest thing I've ever had to do! Seeing the way Danny is with you.. it makes me sick! You deserve so much more!  Please, Button.. don't marry him." Sam says holding onto her arm as he looks at her with tears.

"Sam. I can't." Jessica nods.

"Why are you crying? If you didn't feel the same then you would just yell and tell me to go. These tears mean something, Jessica."

"No Sam. I love Danny. Please just stop."

There is a moment of silence. The two look into each other's eyes and their entire past flashes before their eyes.

Jessica grabs Sam and kisses his lips.
Sam holds her in his arms and their kiss intensifies.

Jessica then breaks the kiss and places her forehead on him. "Goodbye, Sam."

Sam's heart shattered into a million pieces hearing her say that. He looked her in the eyes, tears just rolling down his cheeks.  He knew he missed his chance.

"Jessica Lange.. you'll always be the one that got away."

"That's exactly what I said when you got married.
Sam, I see how you look at Megan.  You love her.  Forget about me, Sam."

"No." Sam nods. "I could never forget about you, Button." Sam lightly taps the tip of her nose making Jessica smile softly.
