"Should we tell the kids we're engaged?" Sam asks.
Jessica smiled as she continued straddling him.

"We can! How do you think they'll react?"

"Well Juju asked me to marry you earlier sooo.. I think she'll take it well!"

Jessica laughs. "Sure, we can tell them! Wait, but what about Landon?"

"I'll tell him when he gets back. It's probably best I tell him separately."

"Yeah, you're right."

"KIIIDS!" Sam shouts.

"Quiet, the baby's asleep!"

"No she isn't, mommy." Autumn walks in holding the baby.

"Oh! What are you doing up from your nap already, pretty girl?"

"She wanted to play!" Julia smiles.

"Oh did she?" Jessica chuckles and takes the baby from Autumn.

"Thank you for getting her, Auttie." Jessica says kissing her forehead.

"You're welcome!" Autumn giggles.

"Kids, Mama and I have some news!" Sam says.

"Another baby?!" Julia smiles and clasps her hands together.

"No!" Jessica laughs.

"Then what da surpwise?" She lifts her chubby hands.

"Mommy asked me to marry her." Sam smiles.

"What?! Mommy asked yous to marry her?!!!!!"

"You're getting married?!" Autumn shouts.

"Yep! Two girls proposed to me in one day! Pretty cool, huh?" Sam chuckles.

"SO Coooool! I gonna be a flower girl!" Julia smiles.

"Yeah!  Hey Theo! How do you feel about it, buddy?" Sam sits Theodore on his lap.

Theodore smiles and moves his little hand.

"Excited?" Sam signs.

Theodore giggles then babbles loudly.

"I think he's excited!" Jessica smiles.
"Or he has no idea what you're ire talking about!" She laughs.

The next day.

"Daddyyyyy!"

"Hey buddy! Did you have fun?"

"Yeah! We saw mommy on the tv!"

"Aw, you did?"

"John and I showed him your wedding video, and the video from his first birthday." Megan's mother says.

"Aw that's nice!"

After picking him up, Sam drove to the restaurant of Landon's choosing; which was McDonald's.

"Are your chicken nuggets okay?"

"Mhm!"

"Good.. Hey Lan?"

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure!"

"Do you like Jessica?"

"I love her!"

"Aw that's good, buddy." Sam smiles.
"Would you like it if Jessie were to one day marry me?"

"Like when you and mommy got married?"

"Yeah!  Like that!"

"Do you not love mommy anymore?"

"I love her!  I'll always love your mommy, Landon.. but mommy knew I also loved Jessica.  She said that after she went to Heaven, she wanted me to tell Jessica how much I loved her."

"How do you know?"

"It was in a letter she left me."

"Oh.."

"If I marry Jessica, it doesn't mean I'm replacing your mommy, okay?  Jessica has gone through a lot.. her husband wasn't very nice to her.. and I just want to make sure no one ever hurts her or the kids again."

"He was mean to her?"

"Yeah.. he was."

"Oh.. I don't like that because Jessie is a nice lady.  And she's pretty!"

"She is pretty." Sam smiles.

Landon looks down and takes a moment of silence.
He then looks up and smiles. "I want you to marry Jessie!  I don't want any bad guys to hurt her ever again!  You, me and Theo will protect her from ALL the bad guys!"

Sam smiles. "That sounds like an awesome plan, buddy!"

"We need to find a ring for her!"

"Well I have a ring but, I have an idea!" Sam smiles.

"Maybe we can go shopping for Jessie.  Except it can be from you."

Landon gasps.
"I'll buy her a necklace!"

"I'm sure Jessica will love a necklace from you!"

"Yeah!  She's gonna love it!" Landon smiles.

May 21st.

As Jessica showered, Sam laid in bed with Evangeline.

"Who's one month old today? Huh? Who's a whole month old?"

"Oh well, Who's grumpy?! Haha, I think the answer to both questions is, YOU! Are you grumpy, Vangie?"

Sam laughs and kisses her pouted lips.
"You look like mommy! That's her face when daddy does something wrong!"

"Shaaaam!" Sam hears a knock on the door.

"Yes?"

"OPEN DA DOOR!"

Sam chuckles and walks over to open the door.

"Hi!" Julia smiles up to him.

"Hello, beautiful!"

"I soooo beautiful, Sham?" Julia smirks.

"Oh the most beautiful!"

"Yes, Yes.." She smiles.

Sam laughs and walks back to the bed.

"My baby sissy is sooo cute!" Julia says as he helps her up.

"She is, isn't she?"

"Yup! Is she smelly wight now?"

Sam laughs.

"No honey, she's all clean."

"Good! Last night her booty smelled!" Julia scrunches her face.

"So did yours." Sam chuckles.

"No it didn't! Yours did!"

"You know what? I think Mommy's did." Sam makes a face and points to the bathroom.

"Ohhh! Ahhhh!" Julia cracks up.
"I think hers did too!"

Just then Jessica walks out.
"What's so funny in here?" She smiles.

"Nothing!" Sam says holding in his laughter.

"We talkin about your booty smell, mama!" Julia laughs.

"What?! Sam!" Jessica laughs.

"Hey it was all her!" He points to Julia.

"What? No! It daddy!" She laughs.

As soon as she said that, Sam and Jessica made eye contact. Julia didn't even realize that's what she had said, but it made Sam so happy.

"I didn't say it!"

"No, no.. it was EVA!" Julia laughs.

"Eva! You're talking about mama?" Jessica plays.

Evangeline just looked at them with her pursed lips.

"She has a little attitude this morning." Sam chuckles.

"Aww! It's so cute when she has an attitude!" Jessica baby talks.

Two weeks later.

"It's just dinner, she'll be okay, right?" Jessica asks Sam.

"Yeah, babe! Don't worry, your parents got this down!"

"I know, I'm just worried. I'm always worried when I leave my babies. Especially for the first time!"

"That's normal, honey. But you and I get to go on our second first date!" Sam smiles.

"I know! I'm excited, baby. I just hope she doesn't give them trouble."

"If she does we'll just come back home. We'll be right down the road if they need us."

"Yeah.." Jessica sighs. "Okay.. You be a good girl, Vangie. And you all be good boys and girls, okay?"

"I'll make sure they're good, Jessie." Landon smiles.

"Thank you, baby." Jessica smiles and kisses the top of his head.

"Where are you two crazies going?" Julia asks.

"Crazies?!" Jessica laughs.

"YES!"

"Heh! We're going to dinner!"

"Dinner and dancing." Sam smiles.

"Ooh I wanna go! I can dance!" Julia wiggles her butt.

Jessica giggles. "Next time, okay baby?"

"No NOW!"

"Next time, honey."

"Fine!" Julia rolls her eyes.

"This place is so nice!"

"Isn't it?"

"Yeah. Very romantic!" Jessica smiles.

"It is!"

"Sammy?"

"Yes?"

"What's in that bag?"

"A present." Sam smiles.

"Oooh! For me?!"

"Yeah, you wanna open it now?"

"Of course!"

Sam hands it over and Jessica quickly takes the tissue out.

"Before you look at it.. I'm not trying to make you upset. I just thought this would be nice to have something in memory of your special little angel."

Jessica's eyes teared up, and she continued opening the gift.

"Aww.. My Simba!" She softly cries as she holds up a t-shirt.

Sam bought her a shirt that said Hakuna Matata on the front, and on the back it said, Simba.
Underneath it was the number seven for his birthday.

"Sam.. this.. this is so sweet! Thank you so much."

"You're welcome, honey." Sam wraps his arm around her and she wraps her arms around his torso.

"I'm sorry for making you sad."

"No, it's okay.  I just miss him so much."

"I understand.."

"You do.. oh gosh, I'm sorry Sam, you're sad too!" Jessica looks up to Sam.

"Heh.. it's okay.  She's with her mommy and her cousin Simba.  She's just fine."

"Yeah..
You know, after Megan passed I felt like Simba finally had a mom."

"Honey, you're his mom.  You always will be.  Megan is just taking care of him for now."

"I know I'm his mom.. I just feel bad that I can't be the one that raises him.
And.. I know he wasn't but.. I just couldn't stop thinking about him being lost and lonely."

"He was never lost and lonely.  There was always someone with him.  No one ever dies alone.  No one ever walks alone in Heaven.  Those are the rules." He says making Jessica let out a tiny chuckle.

"I know but I couldn't help but think about that.
I hate that we both had to go through a loss of a child.  But it's brought us so much closer.  We understand when we have those days where you just want to be alone.. those days where just cry and cry non stop.
I'm so blessed to have you back, Sammy.
You saved me.  You've saved me so many times."

Sam holds her a bit tighter and kisses the top of her head.

"You've saved me as well, honey.  After Megan and Everly passed.. I didn't know how I could survive without them.  But you were there when I was completely broken.
We need each other.. and now we will never be apart."

"Ever."

The two sat there in each other's arms as the music played softly in the background.
