Thursday- July 25th.

"Mommy, I don't want to see daddy!" Julia cries as Jessica slips on a pair of leggings.

"I know honey, and I am so so sorry!  I know you don't understand it now, but it's best if you go see him for a couple hours.. Mommy will be there too, and promise I won't leave you and Theo."

Danny has been asking to see the kids so, Jessica is taking Julia and Theodore to see him for a couple hours.  She was afraid if she didn't give in, he would turn to the court, and that was something Jessica definitely did not want to happen.

"Is baby sister gonna come too?"

"No baby.  She and Autumn are going to spend the day with their daddy."

Julia pouts and looks down.
"Their daddy loves them.."

"Honey.." Jessica's heart broke for her baby girl.
"Your daddy loves you too!"

"No.  Not like theirs.  Shammy loves me more than my daddy does.  My daddy left me.. my daddy was mean.  I don't like him no more." Julia nods her head.

"Baby girl.."

"But I'll go." She sighs.

"I'll go and if he's mean, I'm leavin!"

"Fair enough."

Jessica then grabbed her purse and the diaper bag.
She kissed the girls and Sam before leaving.

"Hey! Juju and Theo! How are you two?"

"Mommy's right there. You can say hello." Julia says giving her father attitude, and pointing to her mother.

"Hello, Jessica."

"Hey."

"You both have gotten so big!"

"Yeah, we gwow when you no see us a lot."

"Ooh! Feisty." Danny chuckles.

"Buddy, can I have a hug?"

Theodore looks at Danny before hiding his face behind Jessica's leg.

"Tell me what's new with you guys!"

"Well my baby sister is talking a lot more now! Not words. Just baby noises! And she smiles and laughs! And eats mommy's boobies all the time!"

"I see. Well anything happening with you two?"

"No." Julia gives him a look.

"But umm.. mommy and Sham are getting married." Julia smiles.

"Well I didn't ask about them. Why don't you answer the question I asked?"

"Daniel!" Jessica gives him a look.

"Yeah Mister! Jus be happy I Here! I no even like you!"

"Juju, I'm your dad!"

"Hm! Act like it." She shrugs.

"Oop!" Jessica's eyes widen and she covers her mouth.

One week later.

"Are you ready, Landon? We have a very important question to ask a very special lady."

"I'm ready, daddy!" Landon gives his father a thumbs up.

Even though Jessica proposed to him, he told her he had something very special planned for her.
So, tonight during a family dinner at Jessica's parents' Sam and Landon are going to pop the question.

Jessica's POV.

"Too bad Sam couldn't be here tonight." Jane says.

"I know, but he and Landon are visiting Landon's aunt who is in town. They really hated missing it." Jessica pouts.

"I bet! Can I hold the little baby now that she's done eating?"

"Of course! Go with auntie Janie, Vangi!"

"Eh! Eh!"

"Oh no." Autumn nods her head and sighs.

"WAAAAAHHH!"

"She's fine. Eva, Mommy's here, don't cry! I'm not leaving you."

"Ahhhh!"

"Oh my gooness gwacious!" Julia grabs her head.
"Make it stop!" She shouts with frustration.

Jessica laughs just before she hears music coming from the backyard.

"What is that?"

"I don't know, why don't you go check?" Ann asks.

Jessica stood up and walked to the back.
"What?" She chuckles.

It was Sam and Landon standing there, dressed very nicely, and their hair brushed! No cap was a big deal for Landon.

Jessica walks out and her family follows close behind.

"What are you guys doing? You look so handsome! Both of you!" Jessica pecks Sam on the lips, before she kisses Landon's head.

"I told you.. you propose your way. I propose mine."

"That's what this is? Aw Sammyyyy!"

Sam smiles and grabs her hands.
"Jessica Lange.. Button."

Jessica giggles.

"I have loved you for seventeen years.
You're the mother of my two girls.. I was there for their births, and to see the strength you have, and the love you have for them.. it's incredible and it only makes me love you even more!

I love Julia and Theodore just as much as I love my own four children. I promise to raise them like they're my own, and never make them feel differently than Autumn, Landon and Evangeline.
They deserve a great father, and I plan to be there for them until the day I die."

Jessica smiled through her tears.

"You've treated Landon and loved him like your own, and I am extremely grateful for that."

Jessica turns to Landon and smiles.
She then wipes her tears and reaches for his hand.

"Thank you for loving me, Jessie." He smiles cutely.

"Aw honey! You don't have to thank me, love!
I love loving you!" Jessica giggles.

Landon smiles and kisses the back of her hand.

"Aww!" Jessica melts.

Sam then gave Landon a look and they both got down on one knee.

"Oh my goodness!" Jessica giggles.

"Will you marry me, button?"

"Will you be my step mommy, Jessie?"
Both Sam and Landon looked up to Jessica with love in their eyes and smiles on their faces.

"Aww!  Yes!  Of course I'll be your step mommy!" Jessica hugs Landon tightly.

"Hey lady! I asked you first!"

Jessica laughs and places her hands on Sam's shoulders. "Of course I'll marry you, Sammy!" She smiles and softly kisses his lips.

Sam smiles and slides her ring on her finger.
"Oh it's beautiful, Sammy!"

"I have something too!" Landon jumps.

"Oh Landy! What a beautiful bracelet!"

"Look! Right here on the heart, it says, Thank you for loving me as your own!" He smiles sweetly.

"Oh wow! Thank you honey, I will never ever take this off!"

"I love you, Jessie."

"I love you more, sweetheart!" Jessica kisses his cheek and squeezes him even tighter.

"Now hit the road, kid." Sam playfully shoves him.

"Daddyyy!" He laughs and joins the rest of his siblings.

The song Hesitate begins and Sam pulls her body against his.

"Our song." Jessica giggles.

"Yup! Our song.."

Jessica smiles before laying her head on his chest.
She then shuts her eyes and listens to the beat of his heart.

"Can I confess something to you?" Sam asks.

"Sure!" Jessica lifts her head and looks into his eyes.

"Remember back when we went to that wedding a few years ago.. right before Megan was diagnosed with cancer?"

"Yeah.."

"Well you and.. that Man.. you were dancing to a George Strait song, and.. I-I got so jealous!  I was sitting there just watching.  The way you looked.. I was happy that you were happy, but.. it wasn't with me.  And that sucked!
.. I started crying right there like a freakin' moron!"

"Aw Sammy!" Jessica pouts and places her hands on his cheeks.

"I saw him kiss your belly.. that's how I found out about Theo." Sam chuckles.

Jessica laughs and nods her head.
"I remember!"

"The song said, You look so good in love.. and it was so true.. I wanted you so badly.. but I wasn't going to ruin your happiness.. or what I thought was your happiness at the time."

"Well.. if you thought I was beautiful then, I must be stunning tonight, because that wasn't love.  That was.. I don't even know.  But I was blind.  This.  What we have, Sammy... This is love.
  Our Love."

Sam smiles and leans in to kiss her passionately.

"You took my pain and placed it on your heart.. I love you." Jessica looks at Sam with tears in her eyes.

"I love You."
