Kies POV

after a minute or so of making out, he pulled away and looked into my eyes with a big smile on his face.

"What?" I laughed, since he wasn't saying anything.

"Nothing, just-" he started "this isn't how I expected this to go"

"What did you expect?" I asked, my arms unwrapping from his neck as I slid my hands onto his face.

"You to shoot me down" he said and we both laughed

"Yea.." I laughed, knowing that if he had told me this a month ago, I probably would have.

"So what changed" he asked softly, Still embracing me.

"I don't know" I shrugged as I thought for a moment "I guess I just.. I don't know" I said, realizing that I don't really have an answer for that

"I told you I had that effect on people" he joked and I we both started laughing.

"Well, let's not forget who said they liked who first" I said, quoting him from a couple days ago

he smirked and let out a light chuckle.

He then pulled me back in slowly and kissed me again.

I have all these giddy gross girlie feelings for JJ and get all excited when he's around. Like technically he was my 'crush'. It felt so juvenile. Sometimes it feels like it's a movie and im the just a dumb girl falling for her guy best friend, and I get all caught up in the idea of having him, but for a second while we were kissing.. I really remembered who he was to me. It hit me like- this is my goofy headed best friend.. this is JJ Maybank I'm kissing right now. He's been with me through everything. He knows everything about me. I've known him for years- since middle school.. and here I was.. with his tongue in my mouth. And honestly.. it just made me want him even more.

It was the weirdest feeling of realizing exactly what I was doing, and who I was doing it with. I wanted him so bad, and I think he could start to tell, because he started to get more intense with it too. I dunno things just started to heat up. Our makeouts before had been slow and sweet and loving, but right now it started to get more passionate. Obviously we weren't going to take it any further, but the way we were kissing, made it feel like we were about to. I had never been so desperate to kiss someone in my life.

Sarahs POV:

i had been in the kitchen with everyone for a while. Pope had already made his way to the spare bedroom so it was just me and john b at this point.

I looked around and noticed that JJ and kie weren't there, then I realized I hadn't even seen them in a while.

At the time, I assumed JJ was either in popes room or in the bathroom or something, but I didn't understand why Kie would leave without saying goodbye.

John b went to his room and I told him I would be there in a minute. I went and knocked on popes door and went inside and asked if he had seen JJ or Kie. He said he didn't, so I decided to go check the driveway to see if Kie was still here or not.

If her car was gone and I still didn't see JJ I would just assume that she drove him home again- then again it would be weird that they both didn't say goodbye and since JJ was supposed to stay the night.

I didn't suspect anything suspicious was going on between them anymore. JJ and kie had both told me that they were drunk and it was Just A one time- heat of the moment type thing. Which honestly I understood. I know things like that can happen, and that's why I dropped it.

I walked out the backdoor and onto the porch. I went down the steps.  it was really dark and I couldn't see much so I moved very slowly. I got about two steps into the grass and looked over to see if Kies car was still there.....

OH MY GOD. i fucking knew it.

They stood in front of her car. JJs hands were wrapped around her waist and Kies hands were around him and in his hair. And they were like REALLY making out.

Even though I used to think that something was going on between them anyways, it was still SO weird to see them actually kiss. I was so confused now. What the fuck were they??? No way can either of them tell me it was just some sort of mistake or accident now. Not after seeing the way they were kissing.

I stood there shocked for a minute, before quickly ducking, realizing that they probably could see me if one of them looked up.

I made my way back onto the porch quietly, and then went over to the edge to see them again to make sure I was seeing that right. I was so. Shocked.

When I went back to open the door, John b opened it first and started walking outside.

"Oh hey-" I said quietly and a little nervous

"There you are, I thought you were coming to bed?" John b said to me and started shutting the door as he stepped outside.

"Oh yea- I was just checking to see if Kie was still here.." I said, trying to get him to go back inside.

"Is she?" He said and started making his way over to the steps.

I panicked and purposely kicked over a beer bottle that was sitting on a table so that it would make a loud noise so they'd know someone was outside. They really owe me for that one.

"Oh shit-" I said, pretending like it was an accident and following John b.

Kies POV:

We had been kissing for a while now and I never wanted to stop. He was just so damn good at it.

Eventually we heard a loud noise from the porch and we both pulled away SO fast. It scared the shit out of both of us as we wiped our mouths and then instantly tried to act casual, hoping that no one saw.

"Hey what are y'all doing out here?" John b said as I saw him make his way over here.

JJ was leaning on the hood now, pretending like we just having a conversation

"What's up?" I asked and JJ stayed quiet. I think he was actually a little nervous to be honest.

"What are doing?" He asked again once he got closer

"We're just talking" I said normally and JJ agreed

"Are you about to leave?" He asked me, a little suspicious

"Yea, he was just walking me out" I lied and looked over at JJ because he was being suspicious by not talking

"Yeah" he shrugged his face and said casually

"JJ I thought you were staying the night" John b said

"No I am" JJ said "I'm not leaving, I was just walking her out John b, can a man not be a gentleman anymore dam" he joked and put his arm around John b to lean on him.

I laughed

"Well- I'm leaving" I said, getting my keys out of my bag "you guys have fun I'll see you tomorrow"

"You know actually John b we were kind of in the middle of a very important conversation, do you mind" JJ said jokingly but in a serious tone "just for a minute"

"About what?" John b asked

"Okay, Nosey, get out of here" he joked and turned John bs head

"Y'all are being weird" he said suspiciously

"Bro we're just trying to talk about something for a minute" JJ said, still trying to get John b to leave.

John b looked at both of us, squinting his eyes like he knew something was up

"Alright" he said, putting his hands up "enjoy your chat" he said, and hesitantly walked away.

I cringed a little, knowing that looked shady on our part.

JJ watched to make sure John b went inside before talking again.

"Okay so clearly we're not ready to tell anyone yet" he said, being at how fast we broke away when we thought someone was coming out.

"Yeaaa" I said shamefully agreeing "maybe just not yet.. I think it's important that we.. you know, understand US a little better before we add them into this"

"Okay cool so we're on the same page then" JJ said, almost relieved.

"You know that.. probably looked really suspicious" I warned him

"Yeaaa, I know" he said "it's alright though, they have no proof" he smirked

When I finally went and got into my car, JJ leaned over on the window again.

"I'll see you at school" he said with his dreamy blue eyes starring into my fucking soul

"Bye" I smiled. He looked around a second and then leaned in slowly, kissing me on the lips before I left.

"Bye" he smirked once we pulled away. His voice was slow and soft.

I pulled out of the drive way and then drove home.
