Hayami's P.O.V

We arrived at an abandoned building with a graveyard nearby. As we reached there I could feel the dark and negative energy coming from the building and around the perimeter. A chill runs up my spine making me shiver.

"There's a curse here." Dad states. I look at megumi and see he has a poker face as he looks at the building.

"YOU LIAR!" Nobara and Yuji both yell at dad in anger. But dad still has his smug smile on.

"This isn't even Roppongi!" Yuji covers his eyes with despair.

"You were toying with us country folk!" Nobara points to dad angrily.

"There's a big cemetery nearby. The double whammy of that and an abandoned building brought out a curse." Dad explains further.

"Who does he think is responsible for the rice he gets to eat, huh?!" Nobara grunts to herself still angry at her teacher. I sweatdropped.

"So they really do pop up more often around graves?" Itadori asks now focused on the building.

"The issue isn't the cemetery itself. It's the fact that people associate cemeteries with fear." Megumi explains and I nod with him.

"Oh, it was the same for schools too, wasn't it?" Yuji guessed.

"Hold up. He didn't even know that yet?" Nobara asks in disbelief.

"To be honest..." Megumi starts.

"He ate Sukuna's finger."

"He swallowed a Special-Grade Cursed Object?!" Nobara yells. "Gross! Unbelievable! That's so unsanitary and disgusting! No way, no way, no way, no way!" She makes a cross sign with her fingers.

I shivered a bit just thinking about how ugly Sukuna's fingers are. Yeah Ew.

"What?!" Itadori yelled out.

"I agree with her." Megumi stated calmly making me chuckle at them.

"I want to know what all of you are capable of. Just think of this of a field test." Dad says. "Nobara, Yuji, you two go exorcise the curse inside that building."

"Geh." Nobara gags.

"Huh? But I thought only cursed could exorcise curses, right? I can't use any Jujutsu yet." Yuji says.

"Your basically half a curse already. There's cursed energy flowing through out your body. Thought controlling that energy isn't something you can do over night, so use this." Dad hands him a weapon wrapped in what looked like leather with fur at the hilt. Megumi makes a surprised sound making me look at him. Yuji unsheathes the weapon as his mouth hangs in awe.

"It's the cursed tool, Slaughter Demon. It's a weapon imbued with cursed energy. It'll work on curses too."

"Lame." Nobara comments with a snark. She walks in the direction of the building while clasping her belt. Yuji follows her but stops when dad calls out to him.

"Oh, one more thing." Dad says as Yuji turns around. "Don't let Sukuna out. If you use him, you'll get rid of all the curses nearby in a flash, but you'll also drag everyone around to it."

"Got it. I won't let Sukuna out." Yuji smiles at us and gives a thumbs up.

"Good luck! You guys can do it!" I cheer them as I wave them.

"Hurry it up!" Nobara calls impatiently for Yuji.

"Okay, Okay." Yuji rushes to Nobara's side.

"I think I'll go too." Megumi says as we sit on the sidewalk.

"Don't push yourself. Your still recovering." Dad says gently.

"Dad's right. Your not recovered yet." I say while playing with my swords charm that was at the end of the sword.

"But someone needs to keep an eye on Itadori, right?" He argued.

"True, but the one we're testing this time is Nobara." Dad says. "That Yuji...he's missing a few up here." Dad gestures by tapping his fingers on the side of his head. "He has no hesitation when it comes to killing these things that take the form of living creatures, albeit bizarre-looking ones, trying to kill him. And it's not like he's been familiar with curses for a long time, like you. This is a boy who used to live a normal high school life. You've seen plenty of jujutsu sorcerers, even those with talent, give up in frustration because they couldn't conquer their fear or disgust, haven't you? So today I want to confirm how crazy she is. How about you Hayami?" Dad suddenly asked me.

"Huh?"

"What do you think of Nobara?"

"Uh well, she's strong willed and has determination. Her stubbornness and dedication will give her that enough 'craziness' as a Jujutsu Sorcerer." I say looking at dad and then megumi.

"But Kugisaki has the experience, right? Little late for that now, isn't it?" Megumi asks again.

"Curses are born from human minds. So their strength and numbers grow in proportion to the population. Do you think Nobara understands that curses in Tokyo are on a different level than those in the countryside?" Dad rhetorically asks. "When I say 'level', I don't just mean the amount of cursed energy they have. It's their cunning. Monster's that have gained wisdom will often force cruel choices upon you with the weight of human lives in the balance." Dad was saying when suddenly a weird beared-looking frog curse jumped out the window from the top floor of the abandoned building.

"I'll exorcise it." Megumi gets ready but dad stops him.

"Hold on." Dad calmly says to him.

Before the curse could hit the ground, it dissolves into ashy dark matter and eventually disappears into the air.

"Nice. She's crazy, alright." Dad says with amusement in his voice.

"I live over there! Thanks again!" The little boy who was saved by Yuji and Nobara says as he waved to us, he received a wave back from dad.

"Did you know I get into a foul mood when I'm hungry?" Nobara taps her shoes angrily on the stairs of the building.

"Well, now I do." I say chuckling abit.

"Good work! We made sure that the kid got home!" Dad says as he walks back with megumi and I. Nobara and Yuji both get up from the stairs.

"Now shall we go grab some food?"

"Beef steak!" Itadori exclaimed.

"Sushi!" Nobara said.

"I'm craving meat so something meaty. I don't mind." I say while tapping my finger on my chin.

"Leave it all to me!" Dad happily gives us two thumbs up and a wide grin.

"And you, Megumi?" Dad asks the boy but it looked like he wasn't paying attention as he was busy scrolling through his phone.

"Huh?" Dad peeks at the boys phone but quickly turns around to leave megumi as he walks away with Yuji, Nobara and i with his arms stretched out behind our backs.

"Oh, I forgot about my biggest haul of the day. Hey you, go fetch my things." Nobara ordered Yuji as she walks ahead of us.

"Huh? Why should I do it? I thought we were even."

"We won thanks to my cursed technique. Got a problem with that?" Nobara challenges him.

"What about my raw strength?" Yuji asks.

"Your monstrous power from eating weird shit?" Nobara resorts back.

"It's just not that! Right, Fushiguro?" Yuji argued and looks at megumi. Megumi keeps quiet with an irritated look on his face.

"What's wrong, Fushiguro?"

"Nothing." He shortly replied with his deep voice.

"He's pouting because he didn't get to join in." Dad teases the poor boy making me stare at dad.

'How is this man, my father, the strongest sorcerer in the world and yet he acts like a man child? I wonder how mom put up with him.' I thought until I realised what I just thought.

'Did I just call that woman 'MOM'?! No way is she my mother after she left dad and I!!' I huff and glare at my shoes.

"Pu-Pu! What a child~" Nobara teased, making megumi grunt in annoyance. Yuji laughs at the sweet moment making me smile.

As we walk, I look up to the sky and take in the golden purplish evening sky not knowing about what was about to happen next.
