She took a sip of her hot chocolate and sighed deeply. Max took a sip of his and looked into the fireplace. "You know, Adrien is messing with your head."

"No he's not." Marinette said and looked at him with a hateful glare.

"He is. Marinette, he's playing victim or twisting your words so you'll stay with him. Haven't you noticed that?" He looked at her and placed his mug down.

"N-not really." Marinette put down her mug and hugged her knees in between the blanket.

"Well, he has. And if you hadn't noticed, both of you had become avid drinkers. I wouldn't be surprised if you both got liver failure at age twenty three." He took a drink and Marinette shrunk more.

"What am I suppose to do?" She looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Give him what he doesn't want. Time alone. Live with your parents and when he comes to visit, ignore him. Take Emit with you and give him space and to help, everyone in the house will leave."

"What if he forces us all back?" Marinette gulped as the class walked into the room after Max sent off an alarm in all of their rooms but Adriens and Emits.

"Then we'll say no. He's nothing like Gabriel so would never stoop at low as blackmail or violence. But we'll mostly be protecting you since you're the one he's after." ALIx smiled at her and sat next to her on the couch.

"I don't think he'll like me leaving."

"Of course he won't, that's the point." Juleka laughed.

"Then I don't want too. I'd he gets mad who knows what he'd do. I don't want to hurt him."

"Well this time you have too. If you don't, then you'll be the one to get hurt." Max said.

"When has he ever hurt me?"

"He slapped you when you said you'd be going to your parents house for a few days and then you stayed here and then he punched you, really hard, to the point where you were knocked out for three hours over you wanting to see Gabriel for Adriens well being."

"T-those were accidents."

"Was it an accident when during the middle of an Akuma attack he attacked you for using your Lucky Charm on the wrong items by accident?" Nino crossed his arms and Alya sighed.

"We just want you to be safe Girl. If you don't want to leave him, we won't force you but we just want you to be safe." Alya hugged her from the side and Marinette sighed.

"We're perfectly fine. Every couple fights."

"Do your parents fight as much as you two do?" Marinette shuck her head and bit her lip. "Then somethings wrong. You two need to spend time apart." Kim crossed his arms.

"We're just trying to protect you and Emit, Marinette." Rose smiled at her and Marinette stood up abruptly.

"I don't need protecting and me and Emit will be fine. Thank you." She walked up to her room and fell asleep next to Adrien. Max sighed and looked at the rest of the class.

"Why doesn't she want help? She really needs it." He ran his hand through his hair.

"She doesn't like admitting it. She hates being vulnerable so doesn't ask for help, even when she needs it." Alya sighed and Nino patted her back. "We lost her two years ago and we've lost her today."

"Has it really been two years since that trip to the beach house?" Alix nodded to Mylenes question.

"It seems like so much longer then that." Juleka sighed and pulled her hand through her hair. "Come on guys, we should get to bed. Most of us have a class to get to tomorrow." Everyone nodded and went to bed.

The next day everyone left but Max, Rose and Ivan since they had afternoon class. Marinette woke up and found the bed empty and decided to make it. She changed her clothes and went down to the kitchen and cleaned up the mess form the holiday diner the night before. Today was Christmas Eve so she just had to clean up a few things. Adrien walked down to the dinning room and Marinette made him breakfast.

"How'd you sleep?" She asked as she put down his plate.

"Pretty good." He smiled at her and ate his food. Ivan, Rose and Max stood next to the door and listened in. They had to make sure she was safe and with Emit with his grandparents. He was already safe.

"Adrien, how would you feel if I stayed with my parents for a week or two?"

Adrien put down his fork and looked at her. "Why would you need to go there? You have everything you need here."

"I-I know but I just thought I would stay with them for a little bit. Get a change of sneery from here." She smiled at him.

"You have everything you need here. I see no reason you need to go to them." He continued eating and Marinette pursed her lips.

"But I miss my parents. I know I saw them yesterday but-"

"No buts. I said you can't Marinette."

"Can I just go home?" Adrien snapped and slapped her across the face with his hand with his miraculous on his hand, cutting her cheek and making her fall to the ground. Max, Rose and Ivan flinched at the sound.

"This is your home." He growled and Marinette flinched and raised her arm above her head.

"I-I'm sorry." She whimpered and Adrien sighed and helped her stand.

"I should be sorry. I shouldn't treat you like this but stress is getting to me."

Marinette smiled at him. "It's okay. I know you made a mistake. I can always invite my parents here." She looked at his plate. "Are you done eating? I can wash your plate for you."

"No I got it. I still have a few bites left." He smiled at her and sat down and finished eating then washed his plate. He looked at the cut on her face then saw the blood on his miraculous. "I'm so sorry about your cheek Marinette. Here, let me take care of that." He grabbed the first aid kit under the counter and she sat on the counter. He washed it and put a bandaid over it and smiled. "Better?"

"I could use a kiss." He kissed the cut and smiled. "All better."

"Good. I need to get to work. I'll be back later, okay?"

"Okay." She smiled at him and he smiled back and left the house. She walked out of the kitchen and dinning room and found Rose, Ivan and Max standing there with their arms crossed. "What?"

"You're way to passive Marinette. You can't see that he's abusing you!" Ivan said and Marinette sighed.

"He's just stressed. Can't you see that? He's not doing anything wrong to me." She walked away from them and to the next room she had to clean.
