The Light of Jirachi Surrounds You.....
(A/N: I just got Pokémon X for Christmas, so I might not be on as much, as I am trying to finish the game ASAP.)
Calem reached for Fletchling's Poké Ball before realizing that he had a type disadvantage. And now Onix was targeting him.
There was no time to think.
Calem grabbed Fletchling's Poké Ball, but it was knocked out of his hand when Onix lunged at him and pinned him to the wall. He yelped in surprise.
Sudden light filled the cave, and Calem shielded his eyes to see what was going on.
A Jirachi?!
The Jirachi glittered. Apparently it had used something like Dazzling Gleam or Flash Cannon, because the room was EXTREMELY bright.
The Onix fainted.
Calem laid against the wall of the cave. His ribs hurt- badly. And being pinned against the wall wasn't helping at all.
Faith ran to him. "Are you okay?!"
"No..... not at all..... everything hurts....."
Faith removed Calem's coat and felt around his ribs. Calem hissed in pain.
"If they weren't cracked before, I'd say they are now. There's not much we can do about it, except to give you medicine to ease the pain. You should probably try to stay as still as possible, okay?"
Calem nodded. "Okay."
Faith brought out Zacian. "Can you carry him?"
Zacian nodded. It knelt down to let Calem on its back.
Calem got on. "What is this Pokémon?"
"It's a Legendary Pokémon from the Galar region called Zacian," Faith explained.
"Oh....." Calem smiled weakly. The pain in his ribs was becoming too overwhelming for him to handle, and he felt like passing out at any minute.
"Calem? Are..... you okay?"
"I'm..... fine....." he managed to get out before fainting.
Faith ran over to him and checked his temperature. "Weird..... no temperature yet..... maybe it's from his pain?"
"Faith!" The others ran up to them. "What happened? Is Calem okay?"
"I don't know! He was talking to me a minute ago, then all of a sudden, he passed out!"
Noel checked Calem's temperature. "That's so weird..... I can't detect a temperature yet."
Faith started to clean the wounds on Calem's body. Then, she started to work on caring for him- giving him food and water.
"I think..... Geosenge isn't too far from here. If we hurry, we can make it to the inn before dark. We should probably give Calem a chance to rest before continuing. He's been through a lot."
The others agreed with Faith- it wasn't like they had much of a choice. It was cold enough for Calem's cold to return, and staying somewhere else was better than having to walk home in the freezing rain and snow.
"Not to ruin the moment, but..... what about the three Pokémon that Professor Sycamore has for you guys?" Trevor asked Noel and Faith.
"You know about that?" Faith asked, surprised.
"Mhm. Should I just send him a message on my Holo Caster?"
"Could you, please? That would be great," Faith replied.
Trevor nodded. "Sure thing. I'll explain the situation to him, too. That way, he'll know why we need more time."
"Okay."
Trevor went to send the message. "Professor! We have a problem. Calem passed out on our way home from Shalour. He's most likely injured and he'll need some time to rest. Can we meet you at the lab tomorrow?"
A few minutes later, Trevor received a message from the Professor. "Bring him here. You guys can rest at the lab."
"There's, um, there's a problem with that," Trevor said. "We're on our way to Geosenge now. It's about to rain. Or snow. We don't want Calem's cold returning- he's kinda prone to sickness."
"Hm..... okay. Meet me here tomorrow if you can. Thanks for letting me know."
"No problem."
Calem suddenly woke up feeling hot and sweaty. The pain in his ribs had gone away a bit, but he hated the new feeling. It was a mixture of sickness, dizziness, and pain. "Ugh....."
"Calem!" Faith held him. "Are you okay?"
"There might be something wrong with me....." Calem gently shifted onto his side and grabbed at his arm.
"You think?"
"There definitely is, but I can't figure out what it is. I woke up feeling hot and sweaty just now. Everything hurts."
Faith checked his temperature again. "You're kinda warm..... we need to find a place to stay."
"That inn in Geosenge is our best option right now. Let's go."
It started raining halfway there, and the group had to run the rest of the way. They arrived in Geosenge, cold and soaked.
Calem shivered. "That was terrible....."
"Tell me about it. The rain is freezing," Serena said.
Noel and Faith were standing outside and talking.
Calem looked at them. "The hell are you two made of?!"
"Good question. Even I don't know sometimes."
"....."
"Let's go inside."
Faith and Noel went inside the inn. The group was led into a single room. "We would assign multiple rooms, but this is our last one. Sorry about that."
"It's fine. I need to head home anyways," Trevor said.
"Us too," Tierno added, pointing to Shauna.
Serena hesitated for a moment, before crossing over to Calem and kissing his cheek gently. Calem blushed.
"I'm gonna go with the others," Serena said. "Be careful out there, okay?"
Calem gave a small nod.
Serena and the others left, leaving Faith, Calem, and Noel in the hotel room.

And now, bloopers for this chapter:
Yes. I know it's the same as a part of the story, but it's golden. The ending part where Calem says "The hell are you two made of?!" really got me.
Calem: I was just saying the lines I was given.....
Faith: Why did you get the best line?
Calem: ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second one was a part of the story that leads from the first blooper into the next.
Yes, this is another real scene. But it's also another priceless one. Partially because it has Calem's priceless line in it.
