Calem felt the hospital shake, and fear filled him. "What's happening?!" He asked, panicking a bit.

"We need to go!" Fortunately, Faith was a nurse, so she was able to remove the IV from Calem's arm quickly and safely.

He winced. "Ah!"

"I know, I know it hurts. But we gotta go." Faith helped Calem up. He gave a sharp cry of pain and collapsed on the floor.

Grace picked Calem up and started to run. A lot of other patients were also running.

"?!" Calem squeaked a bit in surprise.

"Don't worry, Calem..... we'll get you and Faith out of here."

Calem nodded and winced. Every part of him hurt, and the dizziness had returned.

Suddenly, part of the hospital fell down, slightly hitting Calem. He cried out in pain. Grace kept running as fast as she could.

Noel ran up to them. "There you are, Calem! We've been looking everywhere for you..... we were about to report you as missing! Are you okay?"

Calem looked at her, the pain in his eyes giving her the answer.

She stopped and stroked his hair. "Hey..... what happe-" she stopped when she felt the stitches in his head. "What HAPPENED to you?!"

"I..... I was attacked..... by a Rhyhorn....." he whispered breathlessly.

"My Rhyhorn," Grace specified. "Which I truly apologize for. I can't keep it under control."

Noel looked concerned. "So, you hit your head?"

"Yep. Pretty hard, too."

Noel shook her head. "We need to go back home..... and you need rest. Badly. You don't wanna get hurt again, do you?"

Calem shook his head. "No, but I also wanna be of some use. I stayed in bed for at least a week, and I'm tired of i-" he suddenly started coughing, and winced. "Ah!"

"Just..... please..... accept my help. Accept your break. You've earned it."

Calem nodded and coughed so much that he coughed up blood. "Ugh....."

"Calem....." Noel looked worried.

"I'm fine. I promise."

"Anything but fine. You just coughed up blood." Noel touched his cheek.

"It's just a cold. Why should I be worried?" Calem smiled weakly.

"Did you not just hear me? You coughed up blood."

"Oh, that? Yeah, I've been doing that since last week. It's from my sore throat," Calem explained.

"Don't you think we should at least get it checked?" Noel asked.

Serena, Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor ran up to them. Serena flung herself into Calem's arms. "You're okay!"

"Ah!" Calem yelped.

"Sorry! Did I hurt you?" Serena asked.

Calem nodded. "Not exactly okay, but I'm not dead, so I guess that's pretty good."

Serena smiled at him.

Calem smiled back, trying to keep himself together.

"We should get going."

"W-Wait! Faith is still in th-"

"Who?"

"A new friend. And I'm not leaving her behind!"

"A 'new friend' huh? Judging by the blush on your face....."

Calem looked at her.

"Fair enough. Let's go get her."

The hospital had collapsed.

Calem ran over to the mess. "This is really bad..... she couldn't have made it out during all this!"

Suddenly, a pink cloud appeared in front of them and Faith emerged from it.

Calem stumbled back. "Where did you.....?"

"Oops. I guess I forgot to mention that I'm part Pokémon." Faith smiled.

Calem just stood there in shock.

Faith crossed over to Calem and examined his broken arm. Looking up at him, she said, "This is gonna hurt a lot, but I need you to stay as calm as possible, okay?"

Calem nodded, already bracing himself.

Faith started to set Calem's wrist bone. Calem yelped in pain, pulling his arm away. "AHHH!!!"

"Shh..... I know. Stay calm, okay?"

Calem continued his cries of pain. Tears started to fall from his eyes. "IT HURTS!!!"

"I know..... I'm sorry."

Calem whimpered softly.

Faith finished setting the bone. "We need to put a cast on it....."

"I-I know....."

"We should go home..... let's see."

Calem nodded.

"Let's go. I'll wrap your arm up when we get home."

The group left for home, arriving at Glittering Cave a short while later.

"Which path is the right way?"

"Let's split up. That way, we can cover more distance."

The group split up.

After a few hours of trying to find the exit, Calem heard a scream. He broke out into a run, following the sound of the cries, until he reached Faith. An Onix had cornered her.

"Help!!!"
