EPILOGUE
Xeria's P.O.V
"Mama!"
"Dada!"
I feel someone shake me as I shift in the bed, and when I open my eyes, I am greeted by the beautiful sight of my babies.
"Mownin," Lea says, pressing a sloppy kiss on my face and Aiden follows her suit.
"Morning, my babies," I open my arms, and they both squirm into my embrace, giggling and gazing up at me.
"Wake your Dada too," I whisper, and they both jump on their father, shaking him and pulling his cheeks. I sit up and watch the heartwarming scene.
Khaos wraps his arms around their waists, and they both yelp in surprise, giggling and falling into their father's arms. Khaos sits up easily.
"Daddy," they both sing together and hug him, and my heart melts just watching them; he kisses their foreheads and then looks at me, and the children squirm out of his embrace.
"Good morning, Beryl," Khaos says, leaning in, but the kids stop him.
"No, no," they both say, shaking their heads and pointing at themselves before huddling around me.
"Oh?" Khaos raises an eyebrow, then engulfs all three of us in his large arms.
Khaos looks at me and nudges his nose against mine, and I close my eyes until the little bundle of joys crawls out and starts looking at us with their big, sparkling eyes, which are similar to mine and Khaos's, and tilt their heads.
"What is it?" Khaos asks them, and they both cross their arms above their chests and puff their cheeks.
"Bawdayy," Aiden says, "Grandpa," and Lea joins him.
"Honey, it's tomorrow, not today. Now don't be angry." Khaos informs them, and they both form an O with their lips and nod.
They both are soon going to be two and a half years old. When they were about to arrive, we were both concerned about what their names were going to be.
Khaos suggested that we should name the girl after my mom, and I suggested naming the boy after his dad.
I still remember on the day of the babies' arrival how our Dads broke down on hearing the names of our children. We shifted back to Khaos's family home so that we can accumulate everyone.
Our wedding was also held here, surrounded by our loved ones, where we exchanged vows and pledged our eternal love.
It's not just our family that has grown; Quentin and Gabriell's daughter turned one six months ago, and Tarquin and Ivan adopted their son last year, but one surprising news stands out above the rest: Grunge and Solan got married last year.
When we hear the barks, I see Lea and Aiden climb on Khaos and sit on his shoulders.
"Oh, your uncle has also arrived," I smile as Potato bursts through the door, barking and jumping.
He climbs up onto the bed, and the children's attention shifts to their uncle. Potato licks them both, and they laugh while combing his fur with their fingers. They both hug him, and Potato sits patiently and lets them be.
"Beryl," Khaos calls, moving closer to me. I lean against his chest as he wraps his arms around me.
"It seems surreal," he says, locking my fingers with his.
"It is real." When I look back at him, he presses a kiss on my forehead and smiles.
"They both look a lot like you," he chuckles.
"Yes, but Aiden's eyes resemble yours, and Lea has your cocky smile and brows." I nudge him, and he laughs.
"Beryl?" he repeats, and I hum.
"I love you," he says as he squeezes me in his arms.
"I love you too, Khaos," I say as a big smile, spreads on my face.
Today, no door separates us; it's just the two of us and our family. After all of the arguments, misunderstandings, and sacrifices, we're both in the right place.
-THE END-
