Descending
"This way. Watch your step." Travis said, holding your hand up a large rock. With one hand holding Travis's, and the other on your white dress, it was very difficult to climb the mountain.
But Travis was there to help.
Aphmau had said there were some extra houses, but they needed some renovating. Travis offered to share his house with you. Before you even stepped a toe on his property, he drug you up a mountain. "Why again did we come up here? It better be worth it." You said, pointing at your bare muddy feet. Travis laughed," Don't worry, baby, it will." He said with a smirk. You roll your eyes to cover up your smile and blush.
"Okay...... We are here." Travis sighed. He finished helping you up for the last time and you gasped. The first thing you noticed was the lighting. There was no lanterns or torches, it was almost like the northern lights but mostly dark blue and white.
The moon was also colored, adding to the effect. They floated up there, gracefully and astonishingly. Travis watched you, smiling. It wasn't just the lights that was beautiful, there was a small pond that wasn't frozen over for some reason that reflected all the stars and the lights. You smiled wide when you saw just past the scene of the village, you saw the sun setting back behind the waves. The sky was ds ark on one side with the lights, and the other half the sun setting had a array of purples, pinks, and oranges.
Travis patted you on the shoulder," I know, I know, I AM amazing. " You laughed. Travis led you to a spot where two logs were placed facing each other. Travis told you to wait while he went to get you something. He doesn't really have to do anything more, this... is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. You slowly walked to the small pond surrounded by small rocks and pebbles and swirled your hand in the water. It is surprisingly not hot or cool- it's perfect. Before you stood up to head back to your stump, something in the water shimmered, catching the corner of your eye. It felt like it was calling you. Without hesitation, you leaned in and reached into the water. It was too deep in the water to reach with just your hand. Great. You weren't the one to give up so easily. You stood up and searched the area for and sticks or long pole like things to help. Since it was a top of a mountain, there were no trees or anything. You sighed. And Travis wasn't back yet, so it's not like he could help. The water was warm, right? Would it be to bad to get in a grab it? You decided that it was worth the risk, even though you had no idea what you were after in the first place. Before you stepped your foot in, you slipped on a watery pebble and hit your head. You descend into the pond, that was actually a sinkhole. The last thing you can see before you go unconscious, was a creature lurking behind a boulder under water.
