<Jiah's Mansion>

It had been a week after Jeonghan was discharged. Jihyo had managed things with the board so Jeonghan was just on a leave for a while.

"ARAAAAAA!!!" Jiah exclaimed as she rushed to hug her best friend.

"Ayy Jiah!!" Ara hugged her back with equal excitement.

"Jun uncle!!" Jiah greeted her and clung to his arm.

Jeonghan and Seungcheol came from behind as Jeonghan spoke up, "Mr. and Mrs. Wen?"

"They're out for some business trip." Jun stated.

"It's great that you're here. I'll introduce you to my friend. Jiah wanted to meet you for a long time." Jeonghan chuckled.

"Me? As a friend?" Seungcheol whispered to him.

"Shut up." Jeonghan muttered, "Umm Jiah, won't you introduce your bestie to them?"

"Bestie?" Ara scrunched her brows, "You got a bestie?! NO!!"

Jiah laughed, "Idiot. I've told you about the big bestie in my academy. He's the one, Cheol~"

"Wait-" Jun paused, "Aren't you Scoups? Serenity, right?"

Seungcheol grinned nervously as he bowed, "Yeah. Choi Seungcheol aka Scoups from the boy band Serenity."

"I've seen him!!" Ara jumped.

"Right?" Jiah grinned.

"Hello, I'm Wen Junhui. Ara's uncle." He bowed back, "Didn't expect to meet you so casually, you're doing great!!"

"Thankyou so much." Seungcheol chuckled.

"And I'm Ara! Jiah's bestie! I love to watch you!!"

Seungcheol crounched down in front of his as he pinched her nose, "I know about you. Jiah talks about you a lot."

"Because we're best friends." Ara giggled.

"And-"

"YOU?!"

Everyone turned to look at Mingha who was standing with a few packages in his hands.

"What the hell, you?!" Jun's eyes widened.

Jeonghan and Seungcheol exchanged confused glances as they looked at them while Seungcheol stood up.

Jeonghan cleared his throat, "You both know each other?"

"Of course." Minghao walked in, "He had thrashed my car!"

"It was your fault." Jun rolled his eyes.

"Oh really?" Minghao crossed his arms, "And then you had the audacity to become my boss?"

"Are you seriously crazy?" Jun frowned, "You applied for the project which was assigne for me to lead. How is that my audacity or something huh?"

Jeonghan and Seungcheol glanced between the two and raised an eyebrow, clearly confused at the dynamic between them.

"Is your car okay?" Jeonghan suddenly spoke up, looking at Minghao.

Jun opened his mouth to speak but was silenced by a glare by Minghao, which Jun returned with a huff.

"Of course I got it fixed." Minghao whined, "But someone needs to get him fixed as well."

Jun rolled his eyes, letting out a scoff, crossing his arms again.

"The only one who needs to be fixed is YOU." He said with a glare at Minghao.

Jeonghan and Seungcheol once again exchanged glances, their eyebrows raised, clearly amused by the situation.

Jiah and Ara were watching both of them with their wide eyes and adorable pouts.

"Oh really? You sure you aren't a crazy psychopath trapped in a handsome face?" Minghao retorted.

Seungcheol faked a cough to supress his laughter as Jeonghan glared him.

"Handsome?" Jun grinned.

"Slip of tongue!" Minghao gritted his teeth, "I would rather jump off a cliff than calling you handsome."

"And I'll be glad to push you off that cliff." Jun rolled his eyes.

"Stop them." Jeonghan nudged Seungcheol.

"I don't even know them that much. You do." Seungcheol stared at the younger in disbelief.

"That's why I'm asking you." Jeonghan whispered, "Intervene them, they won't argue with you."

Seungcheol cleared his throat as he spoke up, "Guys- the dinner is waiting."

"Oh and, do you know who cooked today's dinner?" Jeonghan took the chance to divert the topic, "Seungcheol himself."

Seungcheol chuckled nervously as Jiah exclaimed, "Yes Cheol did!!"

"Really? Mr. Choi?" Jun turned his attention to them.

"Uh yeah." Seungcheol nodded.

"That's great." Minghao nodded, "I believe that dinner is going to be amazing."

"I hope you'll like it." Seungcheol nodded as he led them in.

"Wait-" Jeonghan stood confused, "I'm supposed to invite everyone in, right?"

"Jeonghan? What are you doing there?" Seungcheol asked.

"Nothing." Jeonghan walked behind all of them.

All of them settled around the table.

"Umm I want to sit between Ara and Cheol~~" Jiah whined.

Jeonghan looked up, watching between Jun and Minghao as they were to be seated together according to Jiah's demand.

"It's okay baby, you can." Jun stood up as he walked around to sit beside Minghao while Ara shifted to make space for Jiah.

Jeonghan chuckled as he started on his food, quietly observing Jun and Minghao who sat next to each other.

Seungcheol meanwhile, was entertaining Jiah and Ara, ruffling Jiah's head and listening intently as the little girl blabbered on and on about school.

Minghao sighed to show his disappointment of sitting beside Jun.

Jun took a bite of his food and glanced at Minghao, trying to hold back a chuckle at the sight of the male's disappointed expression.

"What's the matter? Disappointed?" He taunted, keeping his voice low to not disturb the others at the table.

"A bit too much." Minghao mumbled.

Jun chuckled and took another bite of his food before speaking again in a low voice.

"You really should do something about that short temper of yours." He teased, turning to look at the younger.

"Whenever I'm around you, I can't do anything with me temper." Minghao retorted, "You're bound to trigger it."

"You make it sound like it's my fault." Jun said, his tone half-teasing and half-serious.

"Because, it is." Minghao scoffed.

"Guys-" Jeonghan muttered to them, "Please eat first."

"First." Seungcheol pointed out the younger's choice of words as he laughed lightly.

"Mr. Choi, the dinner is great!" Jun complimented.

"It definitely is." Minghao nodded, "It's so good that I can seem to ignore his presence with the help of this delicious meal." He pointed at Jun without looking at him.

"Now if I'll say something in return then it will become my fault, won't it?" Jun raised a brow.

"I'm not talking to you." Minhao rolled his eyes.

"Then don't talk about me either." Jun ignored him as he continued to eat.

Jiah giggled as she whispered to Ara, "We never fight like this."

"True." Ara nodded with a small grin.

"Shh. I can hear it." Seungcheol scolded playfully.

As the dinner was over Jeonghan stood up, "I'll do some little cleaning and will be back."

He excused himself and walked away. Seungcheol follwed him, "I'll help."

As they were out of everyone's sight, Jeonghan whined, "No you don't need to."

"I will." Seungcheol snaked his arm around the younger's waist while walking together.

"Seungcheol- stop it!" Jeonghan retorted.

"Stop what?" Seungcheol chuckled.

"You're unbelievable." Jeonghan rolled his eyes.

"Oh that, I definitely am." Seungcheol grinned.

Meanwhile Jun and Minghao were glaring each other as they sat in the hall. Jiah and Ara were busy with each other.

Jun grinned mischievously, "I see you're watching me a bit too intently."

Minghao made sure that the kids were not focusing on them, "Right? I wonder why am I focusing on useless things these days?"

"No it's always great to focus on yourself." Jun shrugged.

"You think you did something with this lame comeback?" Minghao raised a brow.

"Hurt your pride." Jun chuckled.

Minghao grumbled at the response and shot him a sharp glare, his eyes narrowing in annoyance.

"Do you really think I'd get hurt by something as simple as a lame comeback?" He asked, a hint of defensiveness in his tone.

Jun chuckled and smiled smugly, enjoying the way he was getting on the male's nerves just by speaking.

"Oh, I know how quick you are to get triggered. Just a couple of words and you'll be losing your temper." He continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I hate you arghh!!" Minhao squeezed his eyes shut, leaning his head back on the couch.

Jun watched as Minghao let out a frustrated sigh and silently hoped that the younger would continue doing this because he found it adorable for some reason. But he would never admit that out loud.

It was late at night as everyone had left and Jiah was tucked to sleep. Jeonghan had come down to the kitchen to get some water as Seungcheol stayed with Jiah.

Jeonghan was about to pick up the jug of water he had filled when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his back from behind.

"Seungcheol-" Jeonghan breathed out as the older rested his chin on his shoulder, "What are you doing here? And Jiah-"

"Shh, she's asleep." Seungcheol whispered to the younger, his breath tickling the younger's earlobe.

"So?" Jeonghan asked.

"Nothing." Seungcheol paused, "I just want some alone time with you."

Jeonghan chuckled lightly, "Alone time?"

Seungcheol tightened his arms around Jeonghan's waist, pulling him closer. He placed a soft kiss on Jeonghan's neck, his lips lingering a moment longer than necessary.

"Yes," he murmured, his voice low and huskier than usual. "Just you and me."

"Seungcheol-" Jeonghan wriggled slightly, "What are you-"

Seungcheol didn't let Jeonghan wriggle out of his hold. Instead, he tightened his embrace, pulling Jeonghan flush against him. He buried his face in the crook of Jeonghan's neck, his nose inhaling the younger's scent.

"Just indulging in this moment with you," he whispered, his lips barely touching Jeonghan's skin. "Is that wrong?"

Jeonghan turned around within the older's embrace as he placed his palm on Seungcheol's chest, "Is it?"

Seungcheol didn't respond right away. Instead, his hand came up to gently cup Jeonghan's face. His thumb traced the contour of Jeonghan's cheek, his gaze intense and focused on the younger.

"No," he finally replied, his voice barely a whisper. "It's not wrong. It's something I've missed."

"I missed it too." Jeonghan paused for a moment, "I needed it a lot."

Seungcheol's eyes softened at Jeonghan's words. He knew the younger had been battling his demons, and it was a constant struggle.

But moments like these, just the two of them together, Seungcheol hoped it helped Jeonghan feel a little lighter, a bit more at peace.

He ran his fingers through Jeonghan's hair, his touch gentle and tender.

"I'm here for you," he said, his voice a quiet promise. "Whenever you need me. I'll always be here."

"Seungcheol." Jeonghan muttered out, "I want to say something."

Seungcheol gently tilted Jeonghan's chin up, locking eyes with the younger.

"You can say anything to me, Jeonghan," he reassured, his voice firm yet gentle. "I'm listening."

Jeonghan fidgeted with Seungcheol's collars for a moment after which he looked up into his eyes, "Will you believe me?"

Seungcheol's gaze softened. He gently placed his hand on top of Jeonghan's, stilling the nervous motion.

"Yes," Seungcheol replied without hesitation. "I will believe you, always. You know that."

"I love you, Seungcheol." Jeonghan confessed, "I never stopped loving you, to be honest. But I was scared. You know why. But now- I've got some courage again. All because of you.

I know nothing is fine yet. But I believe, as long as you're with me, it will be fine. I don't want to lose you again. I just want to be with you, forever.

I don't want to keep our story, incomplete. Let's complete it, Seungcheol. In the most beautiful way."

Seungcheol cupped Jeonghan's face, his eyes filled with love and a hint of tears.

"Jeonghan," he breathed. "You have no idea how much I've missed hearing those words. You have no idea how much I've missed you."

He leaned in, his forehead resting on Jeonghan's.

"I've never stopped loving you either. Ever."

"Thankyou so much for that." Jeonghan muttered, "Thankyou for being with me again."

Seungcheol pulled Jeonghan into a tight embrace, holding him close. He buried his face in Jeonghan's shoulder, his voice muffled but filled with fervor.

"I promised I'd always be here, didn't I?" he murmured. "No matter what. I'm not going anywhere, Jeonghan. You're not getting rid of me that easily."

"I don't even want to get rid of you." Jeonghan retorted, "Not today, not tomorrow, never."

Seungcheol backed away from the hug as he knelt down in front of the younger, holding both of his hands.

"Let's do it all again, Jeonghan." Seungcheol looked up, "First confession. First date. First proposal. Everything."

Jeonghan bit his lower lip, controlling his tears as he nodded.

"The let me ask you." Seungcheol smiled widely, "Will you go on a date with me, Yoon Jeonghan?"

Jeonghan broke down in tears but he chuckled, "Yes."

Seungcheol watched as Jeonghan's facade crumbled, his tears streaming down his face despite his attempts to control his emotions. He squeezed Jeonghan's hands gently, his heart swelling with love for the younger.

"Don't cry," he whispered, his voice soft and soothing. "We're starting afresh, remember? No more tears."

He stood up, pulling Jeonghan into his arms again. He brushed away the younger's tears, his fingers tracing Jeonghan's face with a tenderness.

"Our new beginning starts now," he murmured.

"It feels so unreal." Jeonghan whispered.

"Then should I make it feel real?" Seungcheol grinned mischievously as he began to lean in.

Jeonghan pressed his index finger against the older's lips, "Don't lose control Mr. Choi. First kiss on first date."

Seungcheol chuckled, pausing mid-lean as Jeonghan's finger pressed against his lips.

He looked at the younger, his eyes filled with playful amusement.

"First kiss on first date, huh?" he echoed. "You're going to make me wait, aren't you?"

He took Jeonghan's hand in his, gently lowering it from his lips.

"I can be patient," he said, his voice dropping to a lower register. "But just so you know, I'll be counting down the minutes until I get to kiss you."

"And if I don't agree to kiss you that time either?" Jeonghan raised a brow.

"Then I'll wait as long as you want me to." Seungcheol smiled, "A kiss is just when my lips meet yours, but you know what's better? When our hearts beat together just by looking at each other."

Jeonghan paused for a moment as a small smile tugged on his lips, "You're so cheesy."

Seungcheol chuckled as he planted a soft kiss on the younger's forehead and embraced him.
