<BlueFall Mall>
Seungkwan was humming walking through the section of sweatshirts.
"Dr. Boo?" Seungkwan heard a voice as he turned around, "Ah Mr. Chwe? Nice to see you here."
"You can call me Vernon only." He chuckled as he walked closer to him, adjusting his face mask.
"Uh-" Seungkwan scratched his neck, "Yeah- then you can call me Seungkwan too."
"Such a pretty name." Vernon smiled.
"Thanks." Seungkwan nodded.
"It's an honor that you remember me, Dr. Boo." Vernon stated.
"You're literally a kpop idol." Seungkwan laughed slightly, "I know you."
"Ah but you never knew me personally." Vernon replied as he was taking a glance on how stunning Seungkwan's eyes were.
"But I do remember you." Seungkwan chuckled, "I hope no child got sick in your knowledge." He teased.
"Wow I didn't know you could be so sarcastic." Vernon let out a grin.
"And didn't know you were so smooth." Seungkwan shrugged, "In getting numbers."
"You can't blame me for that." Vernon chuckled and took a few steps closer towards the other "I just couldn't resist a pretty face."
Seungkwan's eyes widened as he looked everywhere around the mall to make sure no one was watching them, "Thanks I guess?"
Vernon leaned against the wall next to them while still looking at seungkwan.
"You're shy?" Vernon teased, noticing the latter's reaction after he shamelessly got closer to him.
"Why would I be shy?" Seungkwan rolled his eyes.
Vernon let a low chuckle escape through his lips as his smirk grew a little bit wider.
"You are a pretty bad liar y'know." Vernon commented, slowly closing the gap between them once again.
Seungkwan placed his hand on the other's chest, pushing him playfully, "Aren't you too casual for this to be our second meet?"
"I don't see a problem with that." Vernon replied, looking down at where seungkwan's hand was placed on his chest for a moment before staring down in his eyes again. "Do you have a problem with it Dr. Boo?"
Seungkwan grinned mischievously, "If you're so desperate to escort me then at least ask nicely and impress me hmm?"
"You really think I can't, Dr. Boo?" Vernon teased again as he looked directly in the other's eyes, their faces just only a few centimeters apart now.
Seungkwan averted his gaze and went to continue looking through the clothes, "I'm not that easy to please."
"And what do i get if I'll impress you, huh?" Vernon asked and crossed his arms in front of his chest, watching the other look through the clothes.
"Depends on why you want to impress me in the first place." Seungkwan shuffled through the clothes.
"Because i find you interesting." Vernon replied casually and watched while Seungkwan shuffled through the clothes.
"And I don't like the way you're avoiding eye contact with me." Vernon said as he shifted a little bit closer to him again.
"I'm not avoiding anything." Seungkwan looked into his eyes firmly, "I just have other things to do."
Vernon raised a brow and smiled at the response. "You sure?" he asked, "Because your ears are suddenly turning bright red." he teased him as he continued to maintain eye contact with seungkwan.
"It's natural." Seungkwan muttered as he picked a black sweatshirt, slightly oversized for him.
Vernon hummed in response, still looking down at the pediatrician while his gaze shifted to the black oversized sweater he was holding.
"You know," Vernon started, "you would look absolutely amazing in that."
"You're being too obvious Mr. Chwe." Seungkwan laughed slightly.
Vernon chuckled along as he eyed his watch, "I had a clear chance of dropping you home but I've my practise. So, I'm sorry, bye-bye."
Seungkwan grinned, "Aww too bad."
"Can I call you for coffee, someday?" Vernon asked.
"Mr. Chwe, please hesitate." Seungkwan laughed yet again.
"I-" Vernon scratched the back of his neck, "Sorry."
"Oh no I was just joking." Seungkwan chuckled, "You can call me."
"Thankyou." Vernon smiled.
<Rose Quartz Medical Centre>
"Come in." Jeonghan called as he heard a knock on the door.
"Dad!" Jiah peeked through the door.
"Jiah?" Jeonghan stood up, rushing towards her, lifting her up in his arms, "How are you here?"
Jiah giggled as she looked at the door while Seungcheol walked in.
"Seungcheol?" Jeonghan's eyes widened.
"I thought you'll love to see her." Seungcheol paused as he smiled, "And me too."
Jeonghan chuckled, "Why not?" He pressed a kiss on Jiah's forehead.
"Cheol picked me from school." Jiah clapped, "And we ate- uh oh."
"You are?" Jeonghan looked at Jiah and then Seungcheol.
"Fruits." Seungcheol answered, "We are fruits, didn't we, Jiah?"
"Yes! Fruits." Jiah stated.
"Whisper in my ears what fruits you ate." Jeonghan looked at Jiah.
Jiah gulped as she did.
"Now you." Jeonghan looked at Seungcheol, "What fruits did you eat?"
"Apple. Banana. Watermelon." Seungcheol answered firmly.
Jeonghan raised a brow and looked at Jiah, "Strawberries? Pears? Huh?"
"Okay okay, we ate some snacks." Seungcheol nodded, "Not a big deal."
"Yeah so why were you planning to lie?" Jeonghan poked Jiah's nose.
"I was just teasing you." Jiah giggled, "Put me down."
"Where are you going?" Jeonghan asked.
"Kwan uncle." Jiah mumbled as she ran out.
"Jiah-" Jeonghan was about to follow her when Seungcheol held his wrist to halt him, "Let her. Don't worry. I've heard she's the princess here too?"
Jeonghan chuckled, "She's everyone's princess."
"She has everyone wrapped around her little finger." Seungcheol smiled, gently pushing Jeonghan into the cabin, "Hmm, Dr. Yoon?"
Jeonghan cleared his throat, "Seungcheol-"
Seungcheol leaned against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest as he left the younger's wrist. He couldn't help but tease Jeonghan, enjoying the way the younger's cheeks turned slightly red.
"Yes, Dr. Yoon?" he repeated, a playful glint in his eyes. "You were saying?"
Jeonghan averted his gaze, "Stop staring at me like that."
Seungcheol chuckled at Jeonghan's response, his gaze never leaving the younger's face. He took a step closer to Jeonghan, his eyes filled with affection and a hint of mischief.
"Why? Does it bother you?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.
Jeonghan took a step back at Seungcheol's approach, "I- I have to look for Jiah."
Seungcheol grinned as Jeonghan tried to step back. He took another step forward, closing the distance between them once again.
"Jiah is perfectly fine," he said, his voice now a murmur. "She's with Dr
Boo. You don't have to worry about her."
Jeonghan's back hit the wall as he stared at the older with wide eyes, "Seungcheol-" He whined.
Seungcheol chuckled, the sound low and seductive. He planted his hands on the wall on either side of Jeonghan's head, effectively trapping the younger against the wall.
He leaned closer, his face just inches away from Jeonghan's, his gaze intense and unwavering. "You're stuck, Doctor," he murmured, his voice filled with playfulness.
Jeonghan smiled lightly as he looked away, "You aren't supposed to behave like this with a doctor."
"Is that so?" Seungcheol raised a brow, "Will this cardiologist not treat my aching heart?"
Jeonghan laughed at the cheesy line, "And why is your heart aching Mr. Choi?"
Seungcheol chuckled at Jeonghan's reaction, loving the way the younger's laugh filled the air. He feigned hurt, placing his hand over his heart dramatically.
"It's aching for lack of attention," he said with a pout, his voice filled with exaggerated sadness. "My poor, neglected heart. Won't Dr. Yoon help me?"
"I don't think any cure is found for such symptoms." Jeonghan rolled his eyes, "Can't help."
"So you're going to leave me to suffer?" Seungcheol mocked, "How cruel, Dr. Yoon."
"How dramatic Mr. Choi." Jeonghan stared deep into the older's eyes.
"I can be even more dramatic, you know," Seungcheol said in a mock-offended tone, his lips curving into a sly smile. "I'll start composing a song right now about the unfairness of it all."
"Oh right, a talented idol, you are." Jeonghan chuckled, "Not only a great performer and singer but also a songwriter hmm? I saw how many credits you hold, how people are crazy for you."
Seungcheol's smile faltered for a moment, "How do you know all of this?"
"It's available online." Jeonghan retorted.
"Which means you used to search me up?" Seungcheol asked, his heart fluttering and aching at the same time.
"I-" Jeonghan averted his gaze as he didn't answer.
"You used to look me up?" Seungcheol gently asked, "All along, you were watching me while I thought that you had left me. But the fact is that, Yoon Jeonghan can never leave Choi Seungcheol."
Jeonghan smiled, reminiscing all those times when he used to absolutely fanboy over the older, secretly.
"It is what it is." He mumbled out.
Seungcheol cupped the younger's cheeks, "Thankyou. For looking me up."
"Shut up." Jeonghan muttered.
Seungcheol chuckled at Jeonghan's response, his thumbs gently tracing patterns on the younger's cheeks.
"I mean it," he said, his voice soft yet sincere. "It means a lot to me, knowing that you've always been there, even if I didn't know. Even if I thought we had to part ways."
"And the fact that I can still not step up to make things right." Jeonghan looked down, "Even if you're this close to me."
Seungcheol could hear the hint of regret in Jeonghan's voice, and it tugged at his heart. He gently tilted the younger's chin upwards, trying to meet his gaze.
"It takes time," he said softly. "You've been through a lot. I know you're doing your best."
Jeonghan looked into the older eyes, "What's your fault in all this? Nothing. But still you've to go through several things you don't even deserve."
Seungcheol's heart ached as he listened to Jeonghan's words. The younger was blaming himself yet again, and it pained him to see Jeonghan carrying this burden.
He shook his head, gently caressing Jeonghan's cheek. "It's not about fault or blame," he said gently. "It's about us being together now. That's all that matters."
Before Jeonghan could speak, a knock on the door was heard. Both of them parted slightly to create a considerable distance between them.
"Come in." Jeonghan stated.
The door opened as Seungkwan came in along with Jiah.
Jeonghan chuckled while looking at her, all clingy to Seungkwan, "I see, princess had a good time."
"Oh Mr. Choi." Seungkwan acknowledged, "Nice to meet you again."
"Same to you Dr. Boo." Seungcheol nodded but then teased, "I hope Vernon is not bothering you a lot."
Seungkwan gasped for a moment after which he grinned lightly, "N-no."
Jeonghan frowned, "What's going on?"
"I'll tell you later." Seungcheol whispered to him.
Seungcheol smiled as Jiah ran over to Jeonghan, wrapping her little arms around his leg. He then turned his attention back to Seungkwan, noticing the slight surprise on the younger doctor's face at his mention of Vernon.
"Sorry, I was just messing with you," he said with a grin. "But seriously, I hope he's not giving you too much trouble."
Seungkwan averted his gaze for a moment, "Don't worry."
"Anyways, if he has not invited you to meet us already then I do." Seungcheol stated, "You can make some time to visit our company and meet his close friends."
Now Seungkwan took his chance to tease the older, "And let me guess, bring Jeonghan hyung along?"
Seungcheol chuckled at Seungkwan's teasing words, not bothered by it in the slightest. He glanced over at Jeonghan, who was busy fussing over Jiah, before turning back to Seungkwan with a smile.
"Well, you know me too well," he replied, his voice filled with amusement. "Of course, I want Jeonghan to come with you."
"C'mon, at least act like you're shy." Seungkwan mocked, "But I wonder if Jeonghan hyung is within anyone's league. After his secret divorce, he had told me that he's never going to date and all. It's all Jiah for him."
Seungcheol's expression hardened slightly at the mention of Jeonghan's secret divorce. The thought of the younger going through such a difficult experience and trying to raise Jiah on his own tugged at his heart.
He forced a small smile, trying to keep his voice light. "But sometimes people change their minds, right? Maybe he just hasn't found the right person yet."
"Oh I see." Seungkwan teased further, "You think you're that right person?"
"Well, can you blame me?" Seungcheol laughed lightly, "Plus I'm Juah approved too."
"That's a great validation to begin with." Seungkwan nodded.
"What are you both murmering like bees?" Jeonghan looked at the two.
"Nothing hyung." Seungkwan smiled.
"Alright, I'll take Jiah to the academy now." Seungcheol stated.
"Yay!" Jiah went to cling to Seungcheol.
"Yeah." Jeonghan nodded, "And no more snacks okay? Because you already had some."
"Oh yeah, kids are too prone cold and fever these days as the weather is changing." Seungkwan agreed, "A few more days then you're free to go snacking and stuff, baby."
"Promise me." Jeonghan held his hand in front Seungcheol, "You'll not give into her wrong demands."
Seungcheol held his hand, "I'll take care of her health, promise."
"Good." Jeonghan nodded.
Jiah giggled, "So from now on, Cheol will be getting scolded on my behalf?"
"You better be joking." Jeonghan playfully rebuked her.
"Yes yes." Jiah mumbled.
"Alright, let's go princess." Seungcheol lifted her up and her stuff.
"Bye bye dad!!" Jiah waved excitedly.
"Bye baby." Jeonghan kissed her cheek.
"Bye Kwan uncle!" Jiah exclaimed.
"Bye bye princess." Seungkwan blew a kiss to her, "Hyung I'll go back to my cabin too."
A couple of hours passed after everyone had left Jeonghan's cabin and he had immersed himself in his tasks.
Soon enough, the telephone kept on the desk rung as he picked it up, "Hello?"
"Dr. Yoon, I'm speaking from the reception. Mrs. Yoon wants to see you, are you free to meet right now? She said she couldn't contact you."
Jeonghan's eyes widened for a moment, "Yeah I just got free, you can send her."
