"Come on Miss! I wanna go for a walk!" I pulled on the pretty lady's hand, trying to pull her out of the smelly house.

She followed me, giggling softly, "You can just call me Adena, child."

"Adena? That's a pretty name. I'm Renny." She was very kind. We were finally outside when I let go of her hand, "Where should we go?"

"Hm... Well little explorer, that I'll leave up to you." She ruffled my quills. I couldn't stop giggling, before I looked around and pointed to a bunch of trees.

"Over there!"

"So to the north, okay then, off we go."

We started walking. After a while I looked up at Adena's hand, reaching for it. The vixen gave me a confused look but didn't object. I grabbed her hand, closing my eyes as we walked through the trees. Images flashed through my mind.

I saw Adena talking to Tyler, she seemed to be upset. More images of Silver and Tyler, Adena flirting with both boys, and finally, Adena holding a small blanket, tears in her eyes. Then nothing. I pulled back, blinking as the images settled in my mind. I looked up at her with lowered ears.

"What?" She asked, slightly confused more than before.

"What's the blanket?" I asked.

"Blanket? I don't have a blanket."

"Oh... I'll have to talk to Silver..."

"What for?"

"Uh..." I wasn't sure if I should tell her. Instead I lowered my head and kept walking, the images of her with Silver and Tyler playing in my mind. Adena didn't press me for more than that, but I could tell she was wondering what I meant. However I kept my mouth shut, walking through the trees and looking around.

Adena's ears twitched, "Do you hear that?"

I stopped, "Hear what?"

I looked around, trying to hear what Adena could. Suddenly an arrow landed at my feet, making me yelp and jump back.

The female immediately picked me up, hugging me to her.... Chest. "Who's there?!"

"Uh... A-Adena?" I spoke up, pushing on her stomach, "You can put me down."

There was movement from the trees above. She didn't let me go as she backed away, acting like a protective mother,

"Sh-show yourself!"

A twig snapped and landed next to us. I was now a little scared, nuzzling close to Adena. She held me with one hand, using the other to create a ball of blue fire.

"Show yourself before I flush you out!" She was trying to sound intimidating.

There was a growl from above us, an arrow shooting next to Adena's hand.

She let out a yelp "Hey!"

"Adena... M-Maybe we should go..." I mumbled, looking around.

"I won't be scared off by something I can't see."

"But... It almost hurt you..." I looked up at her worriedly. There was another growl and something whizzed past my ear, hitting the side of it.

"Ow!" I yelled and held onto my ear.

"Renny?! Are you okay?" She looked at me.

"I think so.." I looked at my hand, it was covered in a bit of red.

"Oh no! C'mon, we better get Sonic." She glared around us before turning and running back to the house. One more arrow was shot at us, just missing my head. And for some reason... I feel like that wasn't meant to miss... Adena ran faster, holding me for dear life as she ran. I almost couldn't breathe, or see...

"Don't worry.... I'll get you back.." She whispered softly in my ear. I nodded and nuzzles closer, closing my eyes. She didn't stop running till we got back to the house, slamming the door.

"Hey hey, what's the rush?" Tyler was sitting on the new couch, watching TV. I don't like him very much...

"We were.... A-attacked." She panted, slipping down into a sitting position, her grip on me loosening "He's hurt."

At that my ears started to sting and I grabbed it.

"Oh, okay that is serious I guess.." The dark hedgehog stood, "Where did Shadow put the First Aid Kit again?"

"Kitchen, next to the fridge."

He nodded and went to grab it, coming back and placing it next to Adena. I looked at it in confusion, but also curiosity, never seeing one before. She opened it and pulled out a brown bottle, using a cloth to wet it with what was inside.

"This will sting." She warned as she pressed it to my ear. I hissed and pulled away, ears lowering.

"Hey now," she said gently, taking my hand into her free one, "I know it hurts, but please let me treat it, otherwise it will get worse."

I sighed and squeezed her hand tightly, small tears now in my eyes. She smiled kindly and started to clean the cut, soon putting a bandage on it.

"How does it feel?"

"Better.." I sniffed, hugging her.

"Kisses for the good patient." Adena kissed my cheek a few times. I blushed lightly and rubbed my cheek, an eye closing.

"Aww.." Tyler pouted, crossing his arms, "Lucky squirt..."

Adena gave him a look, "You're not the one who got hurt, now are you?"

She stood, pulling me up with her "Now you go on and take it easy, no more exploring until Sonic and the other two handle this."

Tyler grumbled and went back to the couch. I nodded, ears lowering, "Are you going to call Sonic?"

"Yes, they need to know about this."
