There was a loud knocking sound from my front door. Growling in sleepiness my eyes opened and I glared from the couch. Sadly, the knocking didn't stop, so I got up and opened the door.

"What?" I asked with a snappy growl.

Sonic gave me that stupid smile like always, "Hey Shadow."

I rolled my eyes and tried to close the door, "Go away Faker."

"Wait!" He stopped the door.

"What do you want?" I asked, glaring from behind the door, "I was asleep and enjoying myself."

"We need help moving the people into the house." Sonic said, not bothering to explaining.

"No."

"Awww come on!"

"Faker you're going to get yourself and Silver killed. You know those people will do anything for a feed, they'll kill you the moment they have that house."

"No they won't," Sonic scoffed, "These people actually need help, heck, we've saved them!"

"They've been living on the streets for most of their lives, you can't trust them." I started to get irritated, my hand gripping the door tightly.

Sonic gave me a look before crossing his arms, "I didn't think you would break your promise so easily..."

I froze, my gaze turning hard and cold towards the look-a-like, "What did you just say...?"

"I didn't think you would break your promise to Maria so easily. You did say you would help those in need..."

My hand found it's way around his throat, "Don't you EVER say something like that again."

The azure hedgehog grabbed at my hand "Whoa, chill man-"

"Be thankful I don't crush your neck right now." Pushing him back, I let go, standing outside and closing the door behind me, "Show me where these street rats are..."

He let out a small breath as he turned and took off at full speed. I followed him close behind, grumbling rather inappropriate words under my breath. We ran through the quiet forest in a blur, arriving at a large building in the matter of seconds.

Sonic spun around to me once we reach the door, "Ta da! This is the place."

My eyes roamed the building, smelling of fresh paint, "It's awfully big, how many people are you looking after exactly?"

"Let's see, I have 3 guys and Silv has 3 girls sooooo 6. But that may change depending if we find more people to take in."

"Right... Where are these people?"

"Silver will be here any minute with the girls, the guys are already inside"

"I'd like to meet them."

Sonic nodded, leading me inside. I followed. However, my brow rose at the sight of the three males. One was a child, trying to escape the grip of a black hedgehog, who seemed to be the 'Scourge' type. The child looked like Silver by the way.. Then the third... Thing... He was curled up in a corner, his head on his knees...

As soon as Sonic saw this, he snapped at the black hedgehog "Tyler! Let Renny go!"

"Aww but Sonic, I'm just playing around~" The dark hedgehog, Tyler, smirked. I already knew he'd be a big problem in this house.

"No! Let me go!" The smaller hedgehog, Renny, was squirming in his grip. He seemed cute enough, for a Silver look-a-like, possibly even more innocent.

Sonic narrowed his eyes "Now."

Tyler grumbled and let him go. I turned my attention to the thing in the corner.

"Faker, what IS that?"

"Shh!" He snapped, "Don't talk about him like that. This is Raizor."

"Raizor? What is he?" I gave Sonic a confused look. The thing in the corner seemed to whimper and hug his legs tighter.

"He was an experiment, he can't help being born." Sonic hissed at me as he walked over to Raizor, "Hey, Raizor?"

I watched as the experiment's head rose slowly to Sonic's voice. He seemed to calm instantly. I felt a small pang of guilt settle in my stomach at the sight of his... Appearance, thankful that I myself didn't turn out like that...

Sonic gave him a soft smile, "Hey, are you ready to meet your new roommates? They'll be here soon."

"Not really..." His head lowered, ears laying back, "I don't like meeting new people..."

"I know, but come on buddy, they seemed really nice when I met them."

"B-But what about Zero? You told us about her... Sh-She sounds scary.."

"She won't hurt ya." He winked at the thing, "Promise."

"Zero..." That name rung a loud bell in my head, "You mean the psychopath?!"

"Psychopath?!" Raizor's eyes widened.

Sonic turned to me, "Hm? Wait you know her?"

"Everyone knows her! Faker that's the girl that killed all those innocent families!" My eyes narrowed, "Your telling me your housing psychopaths?!"

"She was fragile and afraid when we met her. Heck, she was eating from the garbage."

"She's killed many innocents! And you're here saving her when you could have saved all those children that died by her hand!"

He flinched at that, "Shadow... If we help her then she'll stop killing."

"There is no way to help her. I saw it on the news, the look in her eyes tells me she won't be stopping what she is doing for a long time."

"She's been unloved, that's why she's the way she is."

"I've been unloved and I don't kill people." I growled.

"But still!" Sonic said defensively.

"All I can say is, if she kills you, or anyone in this house. I told you so." I clenched my fists tightly, "So what exactly do you want me to do? I mean, you said something about helping the people move here but... They already have all their things by the looks of it."

"It's the girls actually, they- oh speak of the devil."

I turned to see Silver walking into the room, three girls behind him. One was already familiar, and I had to supress a growl, the other two I've never seen before.

Next to Silver was a curvy, beautiful vixen with red fur. Her eyes two different colours... And shapes. She batted her lashes at me.

I huffed, crossing my arms and turning to the next person. At the sight of her... I seemed to relax.

She was standing farther back than the others, she had her head down, her ombré blue-white fur covering one of her eyes, the bangs having an odd red shape on them. Her dress wasn't as revealing as the other vixen, almost reaching her feet, yet still hugged her curves a little.

I stopped a smile from coming on my lips. I was about to walk over before Tyler beat me. The other hedgehog, however, was more interested in the red fox, his arm instantly around her shoulder, "Hey baby, don't you look fine~"

She blinked as she looked him up and down, his arm lighting on fire, "Guess you can say I'm hot."

"Gah!" He pulled back, and I couldn't help but laugh, as did Silver and Renny.

The fox lashed her tail, "Sorry, boy, but I'm far out of your reach." She scoffed.

He was rubbing his arm, "More like a skank..."

"Excuse me?" She looked at him sharply.

"You heard me." He smirked at her.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Sonic, "So, what am I meant to be doing again?"

Sonic ripped his attention from the others to respond, "The girls picked out what they wanted in their rooms, but we haven't had a chance to put it in there yet."

"Then where is it?"

"Outside." He points to the door, which was covered in a thick layer of frost.

"Right... Do you know who wanted what?" I tilted my head, walking towards the door.

"That's the girls' jobs." He waved his hand as the red fox melted the frost with a ball of blue fire, careful not to burn anything.

"Then why are we standing around?" Silver piped up excitedly, "Let's get started!"
