I can't believe what Amy told me, even as I stood in front of the pink hedgehog. Her explanation coming to me only halfway, my brain going everywhere all at once. I pace the house in front of the group we had been helping, their eyes following me, some out of worry and others out of annoyance.

"How can this be? They... kidnapped? By Eggman?! It has to be him." A growl slipped from me.

"That's what I was thinking." Amy said worriedly, stepping close to me, "I think it was Eggman too, but how? You know Shadow and Silver.."

I know what she means, Silver is strong and Shadow… Well he’s a nightmare to fight on his own, but BOTH of them taken? How is it possible? I need to go to them and bust them out. However, it would appear Amy knows what I was thinking without me uttering a word.

 "No, you shouldn't go. Not by yourself at least. If he caught those two, he'll get you too." She glanced behind me, "You'll need a team..."

I looked to where she did and paused. Oh no… She couldn’t possibly mean them.

"No. Absolutely not!" I snapped, "This is our problem not theirs. We shouldn’t drag them into this. It’s too risky."

"Yes but Knuckles is busy and Tails has a cold. Who else can help?"

"I can do this myself!" I protest.

"Sonic, he caught Shadow for Pete's sake! You won't stand a chance!" The pink hedgehog sighed and hugged my arm, "I don't want you to be hurt.. Or worse..."

I know she’s worried, but Amy always worries too much about me. Eggman would have to catch me before I’d ever go down.

"Yeah! I wanna help!" Renny smiled.

"I-I can try..." Raizor rubbed his arm.

"See? They can help you, they WANT to help you." Amy smiled at me, "So? What are you going to do?"

I look between the group. We were helping them but now they are helping us... wow. Isn’t this ironic enough?

Zero giggled, "Can I take a play toooooy?" She asked as she swayed back and forth in her seat.

Tyler smirked and his eyes shone slightly, "Let us help Sonic~"

 "Eggman..." The wolf rubbed her head, "Why does his name sound familiar... Yeah, I'll help."

I take a long, deep breath. What can I say? They want to help so badly, for their own reasons in which I don’t know. I’m absolutely torn. What should I do? Risk the group or my close friends?

We were standing at the foot of Eggman's base, everyone staring at the building in awe, besides Amy and I. Okay, so I had my doubts about them coming, even argued with them about it the entire way. Yet they insisted and persisted until I gave in.

Now I didn't hesitate as I curl up and smash down the tall metal doors, landing on my feet after, ready to fight... but strangely, the place seemed empty. Somethings really off, usually there's an army of tin cans waiting on me to bash them in.

I felt movement by my sides and heard a whimper from Raizor,

"I-It's so big..." Poor guy, he must be terrified right now.

"It's okay Raizor, stay close. Eggman will be sending robots to attack us soon, so we better be quick.” I say softly, hoping to comfort him.

"Robots?! Awesome!" Renny giggled.

"We should have brought Amaya..." Haven sighed, "It would be so much easier if everything was frozen."

Adena growled, suddenly glaring at us like the devil walked in. "No way, I'll melt the metal off the robots, we don't need that screw up."

"Screw up?" Haven growled, "No wonder she feels like a mess.."

"You don't know Amaya, so you wouldn't understand mutt." Adena lashed her fluffy tail.

"What did you call me?!" The wolf snapped at her, "I think I know her pretty well since she saved my life!"

"Ladies ladies calm down," Tyler walked over to them, placing an arm on each shoulder, "Save the cat fight for later, we need to focus here."

“Wow,” Adena looked at him, smiling just a little. “You are actually being serious about this?”

"No. I just don't want to miss the fight."

“And you are back to zero with me again.” Adena huffed, the glossy smile vanishing as the vixen looked around the area.

Zero stumbled inside, “Hehhehehehe this is myyyy kind of hoooome…”

Amy gave a weak chuckle, "Lively bunch... Aren't they?"

 "You have no idea." I glanced around with a frown as we go up to the next level. "What is up? Surely we should have been attacked by SOMETHING by now."

"M-Maybe it's all a big t-trap..." Raizor stood awfully close to my side.

"Wouldn’t be so-" Before much else could come from my lips, a sudden burst of wind knocked us all over, sending us to the floor.

A few of us yelped and/or groaned as we hit the ground, Haven and Tyler both shouting. I scrambled to my feet, only to be forced back down to the ground by the invisible force.

A growl came from me, “Who’s there!”

Adena got up, her hands lighting ablaze with beautifully dangerous blue flames, “Show yourself!” Another gust of wind put out her flames.

Renny stood shakily and looked around, "Stop it!"

There was a screeching sound, a green blur shooting past us and grabbed Renny off the ground, vanishing in the blink of an eye.

“RENNY!” I yelled along with Adena.

"Oh n-no!" Raizor shot up, "We have to help him!"

"Let's go." Haven stood and ran after the green blur.

Without much thought we take off after her, I pushed myself to go faster, passing the wolf. I knew I should have left him home! I knew it I knew it! I curse myself for letting myself fall for his cute eyes when he begged to go.

We make it to a large metallic room, standing at the center was a figure that appeared to be choking Renny. I growled while Zero giggled at us all. Renny was gasping for breath, struggling in the figure's grasp with small whimpers. The others stopped behind me, keeping quiet.

The figure was in shadow's, body moving as a low growl came from them. Then... words.

"So cute... and so young." They said, silver eyes that shone like the moon sliced through the darkness of the room, pinning on me, "You shouldn't have such an adorable child in your grasp... Sonic the Hedgehog."

My body tensed up, eyes narrowing, I didn't recognize the voice at all.

Motioning for the group to stay back, I move forward a few steps, "Who are you?"

Renny whimpered in the person's grasp, trying to push their arms away.

“Who am I?” A laugh left their lips, “Oh I'm many things Blue Boy. Tell me… why are you so foolish enough to come here? Do you honestly have a death wish?”

“Eggman isn't a threat, and neither are you.” I growled, “Now let Renny go.”

“Oh but if I do that you make take him away.”

"P-Please..." He gasped out, "Please miss.."

"Miss?!" Adena growled lowly, her fire coming back to the surface and with a swift movement, sent a blast at the figure.

They easily dodged and set Renny down behind them, the flames lit the room. I was able to see the attacker a little, green quills and teal clothing. "Stay behind me kid. I'll get these guys with ease."

Renny curled up and covered his head, ears pressed back as he shook.

"Oh great, another Sonic." Tyler rolled his eyes, "But female. A real bi-"

“Tyler!” I snapped, “Now isn't the time-” I didn't finish my sentence as the female smashed into me, sending my body crashing into Tyler's and into the wall. Luckily enough Tyler got the majority of the blow to the wall.

The black hedgehog cried out, before growling and shoving me off, "That's it... My turn."

His eyes started to glow brightly as he ran at the green hedgehog.

With a laugh she avoided him, running past him, “You aren't who I need.”

Within seconds the two of us lashed blows at each other. God she's fast as I am! Everyone circled around us, ready to jump in if needed, doing their best to keep up with our movements. I saw Renny stand and run to Adena, hugging her leg.

Adena hugged him, “Stay close and out of the way.”

Slowly the two of us begin to tire out, at least she was. We were dancing in combat, blow for blow. Finally I was able to land a punch to her stomach, sending her into the wall. At that moment the lights flickering on. I must have hit her into the light switch. Now we could see her fully. A green female hedgehog with green quills that were the shade of the forest itself, the tips charcoal black. A lock of her quills fell over her eyes, which were narrowed into thin slits.

 She sluggishly stood, rolling her shoulders and pulling her teal vest-like jacket over her.

“Okay, now I'm angry.”

Amy stood next to me, her piko-piko hammer in hand, "Good, now we can fight."

The green hedgehog looked between us, her eyes slightly widening as she realized how many she was against. "I... crap he said there would be one 3!"

"Look again." An arrow shot at her, coming from Haven who had somehow gotten ahold of her bow.

With a yelp our enemy darted back, backing away from us as we advanced forward. She growled, knowing she had no chance against all of us at once.

“So, I'll ask again, who are you?” I spat.

"A-And where is Silver..? And the other one.." Raizor stuttered.

Her scowl slipped into a smirk, “Gotcha.” She pulled a lever next to her, the floor under us opening up. With a scream we plummet down into a dark abyss.
