You grabbed your shoes from the shoe rack, putting them on while both Jungkook and Jaekook did the same.
After breakfast the three of you had agreed that the man who had ‘brought’ you to the future might be at the seaside, where you had first met him.
“Wait, now that I think about it, what were you doing all alone by the seaside? Your parents aren’t even in the country.” Jungkook asked as the three of you begin walking, the house closer to the sea than your home back from 2019.
“I got bored, so I decided to go out.”
“Oh so you think you can just go anywhere you want when your parents aren’t home? I don’t think so.” Jungkook continued, sending you a wink as you tried to hold in your laugh.
“But dad~” Jaekook whined making Jungkook stop in his tracks, his eyes wide from being called ‘dad’ for the first time, even you were surprised.
“Um, Jungkook? I don’t know what to call you honestly…” Jaekook continued, rubbing the nape of his neck.
“No, dad is fine.” he answered, trying to hide a smile. He liked it, being called dad.
Jaekook looked over at you, “So, do I call you mom?”
“Sure.” you replied with a shrug.
“Great! That makes my life easier.” Jaekook exclaimed as you both chuckled.
The three of you continued walking, Jaekook asking you questions about 2019 in the meantime.
“Wait, so you actually had to carry your phone with you?”
“Um, yes?” Jungkook replied while taking his phone out of his pocket. It might not work in the future, but he still had the habit of carrying it around.
Jaekook gasped once seeing the phone, snatching it out of his hand and staring at the black screen.
“Is this the old Iphone?” he asked once seeing the apple on the back.
“Excuse you, this is the newest one.” Jungkook answered offended. “It’s the Iphone XR.”
“That’s ancient.”
You couldn’t help but giggle at Jungkook’s pissed state.
“No one uses phone anymore. We can do everything and even more on our watches now.”
“You and your stupid watches.” he grumbled, taking his phone from the youngers hands.
“No! I wanted to play on it.” Jaekook whined while Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“Fine.”
He turned to phone on with face recognition and handed it to Jaekook who grinned.
“He’s so annoying.” Jungkook muttered to you as you laughed quietly.
“He is your son.” you replied with a smirk.
“I'm not that annoying, am I?”
You nodded and chuckled at his offended face as you walked alongside each other.
“Hey, dad?” Jungkook hummed in response, glancing at Jaekook. “Who’s this?” Jaekook turned the screen to him, Jungkook stopping in his tracks once again.
“Why are you going through my pictures?” Jungkook furrowed his brows, grabbing his phone from him again, watching as Jaekook's face fell.
"I was just curious. Who is it?"
Jungkook stared at the picture from years ago, remembering how his mom had showed him it after looking through old pictures of his childhood. A young boy around ten years old had his little fingers laced with a girl the same age. They both grinned at the camera, their eyes sparkling in happiness.
It warmed his heart every time he looked at that picture, old memories of both you and him coming back at him. He always knew you both had a special relationship, an unbreakable bond that he hoped would never come to an end.
"Dad?" Jaekook's voice interrupted his thoughts, looking back at the boy who looked so much like the one in the picture. Just like him.
"Uh, that's Y/n and me."
You peered over his shoulder, looking at the picture, a smile spreading over your lips.
"You never showed me that picture." you said, taking his phone to get a closer look.
"I forgot, I guess." he answered, scratching the nape of his neck.
"Well, send it to me later." you handed the phone back to him, which he placed in his pocket.
It didn't take long for you to see the sea from afar. To your surprise, it was still active, with restaurants, cafes and stores all along the side. You didn't know what it was about this place that you loved so much. Maybe because of the fresh air while watching the waves crash, or the relaxing atmosphere that it gave off.
"My dad told me that this is where their love story began." Jaekook said out of the blue, both you and Jungkook's attention shifting to him.
"I what—" Jungkook practically exclaimed, catching some peoples' attention as they walked by.
"You guys aren't a thing?" Jaekook asked, his eyes wide in surprise.
"No!" you and Jungkook exclaimed in sync, again, some people looking your way.
"At least not yet." Jungkook muttered as you shifted uncomfortably next to him, the both of you making eye contact before glancing away immediately.
"Oh, so that's why you haven't been holding hands or anything. I would've put you in different rooms if you had told me."
Your eyes widened as he spoke, Jungkook glaring at the younger boy. You blushed at the thought of the tangled situation you were in that morning, all because he thought you were already dating.
You heard Jungkook take in a deep breath as he closed his eyes, clearly trying to calm himself down. His eyes narrowed once he opened them, staring off into the distance.
"Isn't that the time travel guy?" he asked, pointing at a man about a hundred meters away. You stared at the man, looking at his familiar beard and booth.
"That is him!"
"Oh, he is so paying for this." you heard Jungkook mumble before you watched him run in that direction, both you and Jaekook glancing at each other before running after him. You watched as Jungkook grabbed the man's collar, catching him by surprise.
"Listen you son of a—"
"Jungkook!" you cut him off, and freed the man from his grip. "Calm down!"
"Yeah, listen to your girlfriend." the man said as he dusted himself off, putting a good distance between him and a fuming Jungkook.
"She isn't my—"
You cut him off by yelling out his name again, getting him to shut up. He composed himself, then began speaking again.
"Listen buddy, you're the reason why we're both stuck fifteen years in the future." he spoke a bit more calmly, still glaring at the man.
"Yes I know." he replied, scratching his chin.
"What do you mean you know? Fix this!"
"I can't."
"Why not?" you asked, feeling a bit angered yourself.
"Look, I know you both think I just randomly got you guys to buy tickets to 'time travel', but some things happen for a reason. I can't bring you back until that reason has been fulfilled." he explained calmly as you listened in bewilderment.
"What's the reason then?" you asked and waited for him to answer, but only got a shrug.
"I don't know, you're going to have to figure it out on your own."
"I suggest you tell us now." Jungkook said deeply, seeing him roll up his sleeves. You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose, trying to calm your nerves.
"Can we at least get a hint on when to come back to you?" you asked, watching as he stroked his beard while leaning against the booth.
"In one week, then I'll send you both back." the man answered, glancing at you both and then Jaekook who just watched you silently.
"Is he your son?"
"Yes." Jungkook replied, wondering what Jaekook had do with anything.
"And you were telling me she's not your girlfriend, clearly she's your future wife." he chuckled.
"That's it—" Jungkook reached out for him, but you grabbed his sleeve, dragging him away, Jaekook following right behind.
"Let go of me! Let me beat the crap out of him!"
You rolled your eyes and huffed, feeling like he was a five year old wanting to run to his toy. God, you couldn't believe he was a twenty year old still acting like this.
"Y/n!" he whined since you didn't let go of him, and you eventually did once putting a good hundred meters between the guy and yourselves.
"Do you see what I have to deal with every day?" you said to Jaekook who giggled, watching his dad act all childish.
"You don't deal with me, I'm perfectly fine." Jungkook mumbled as he fixed his hoodie.
"Uh huh" you began walking with them both on either side of you. "One week, then we'll be back, and hopefully find the reason we were sent here."
