Your eyes opened wide as you woke up, your heart beating rapidly in your chest as you thought about the dream you just had. It felt so realistic, everything seemed so clear. The pure white dress that fit your body perfectly, the camera that flashed brightly, capturing a perfect picture of you both, and his presence and soft touch. Even the details of his features were perfect and clear as he stood close to you and captured your lips with his soft ones.
How was it that it just felt so real? Even the feelings you felt? You swore you could feel your skin tingle at his touch, even if it was just a dream.
You took in a deep breath trying to calm your nerves and shake the thoughts out of your already tired mind, reminding yourself that it was just a dream like any other. He was your best friend and you were his, nothing more nothing less, at least back in 2019.
Finally after calming yourself down you tried to sit up, noticing a heavy weight around your body followed by a warm feeling against your neck that you ignored till then. Your senses dialed to 100 as your heart dropped instantly, realization hitting you like a truck.
Jungkook had his arms wrapped around you, holding you against him as he breathed into your neck, his dark strands of hair tickling your skin. At this point all you could hear was your heart in your eardrums, and felt the air get sucked out of your lungs.
Your mind was racing, remembering sleeping on opposite sides of the bed, making sure to keep a bit of distance so that you wouldn’t end up kicking him off the bed, or in a tangled situation just like this. But it was just bound to happen.
You swallowed hard, thinking of how you could free yourself without waking him up.
Oh right, he sleeps like a rock
A slight smile spread across your lips as you remembered that one bit of detail about your best friend, he doesn’t wake up no matter how much you could try.
Your fingers wrapped around his arms locked around your waist securely holding your body against his chest. You could feel every rise and fall of his with each intake of his breath, the air leaving his lips and hitting your neck.
You tried to unwrap his strong arms from around your smaller body, trying to free yourself from his grip, but were unsuccessful as he held you strongly even in his deep sleep.
Letting out a frustrated breath at your failed attempts to free yourself, you decided to call out his name instead, hoping he would wake up.
“Jungkook”
Nothing but a soft snore.
“Jungkook”
No response.
Instead you tried shaking him, feeling him slightly shift in his sleep.
“Five more minutes.” he grumbled, his breath hitting your neck and sending shivers down your spine as he snuggled further into the crook of your neck.
Your cheeks flushed pink at his actions, feeling yourself pulled further into his warm and comfortable embrace. At this point you decided to give up, knowing there was no way you were freeing yourself anytime soon.
Jungkook - even in his half asleep state -could feel the warmth of whatever he was hugging. His brows knitted together as he felt it shift in his embrace, his one eye peeking open in confusion, met with strands of hair and skin. His eyes widened as he realized who the body he held in his arms belonged to and raised his head and released you immediately.
“Sorry!” he exclaimed, now fully awake, his voice gruff from sleep.
You propped yourself up on your elbows and stared at the embarrassed young man next to you.
"You were shivering, even with the blanket, so I- oh my god." he rambled, his hair messy and sticking up in some places. You couldn't help but find it cute.
“It’s alright.” you assured your cheeks slightly pink as you looked away, noticing the door that was creaking open.
Jaekook’s head popped out through the crack of the door and stared at both your bodies under the covers.
“Good morning.” he grinned as he opened the door, walking in.
“Good morning.” you replied back, watching Jungkook gaze at the younger boy before throwing a pillow over his head as he laid back down, muffled curses leaving his lips.
“It wasn’t a freaking dream.” he groaned lastly into the pillow before sitting back up and letting out a sigh.
“Good morning.”
Both you and Jaekook stared at him in confusion before shrugging it off.
Jaekook neared the bed and sat down near your feet, looking up at the both of you.
“I was planning on bring you to my parents' room so you could change into some clothes.”
“That sounds great.” you nodded with a smile, glancing over to Jungkook who agreed.
You both got up from the bed, following Jaekook through the house that you still couldn't believe belonged to your future self. Everything was beautiful, the walls of the home white, grey and sometimes black or red. It fit perfectly to the interior and the furniture made it look even better all together.
"This is your room, well, my parents' room." Jaekook said as you neared the end of a hall, large black double doors ahead of you. Jaekook sent a swift glance at you both before turning the knob and revealing the inside of the room. The room was bigger than you expected, then again you weren't surprised since the house was huge itself. To your left was a large king's bed with a black headboard with creamy white sheets set over it. Across from it was another door which you assumed was the washroom, a set of shelves aligned on the wall next to it. Right next to the bed, or across from where you stood were large windows that let sunlight pour into the room, letting you have a wonderful view of the front of the house.
"This is the walk-in-closet" Jaekook continued, walking to the left, and sliding open a door which revealed a humongous closet filled with all colours of clothes and accessories when the lights flickered open.
"This is my mom's side," Jaekook pointed to your left, "and this is my dad's side"
Your eyes trailed over the line of clothes along the wall, all an assortment of colour as they hung from their hangers.
Jungkook had already found himself a pair of grey sweatpants that he hung over his forearm, looking through some of the plain shirts.
You grabbed a pair of black leggings, searching through all the tops, but your eye caught something from across the closet on Jungkook’s side instead. A red hoodie hung from the hanger looking soft and comfortable.
You walked towards it, your hand gripping on it the same time that Jungkook’s did.
“You do realize that your clothes are on the other side, right?” Jungkook asked with an eyebrow raised.
“I know.” you answered, tugging on the hoodie. “But please, can I wear it?” you pleaded.
“No.”
“Please~” you pouted looking into his eyes as he scoffed, breaking eye contact.
“Fine.”
You gave a little cheer and took the hoodie off of the hanger and put it over your arm with a smile, walking out of the closet.
Jungkook shook his head and chuckled quietly at your behavior, his eyes catching Jaekook.
“Is she like this when she’s thirty?”
“Nope.” he replied as they both left the closet. “I’m going to go to the kitchen and tell Mia to prepare breakfast.”
You nodded as Jungkook let out an okay, Jaekook making his way towards the door and leaving you both alone in the room.
“Well, I guess I’ll change in the closet.” you said going back to the open door of the closet, the lights flickering on on their own. You pulled your pajama shirt that Jaekook had given you the night before over your head, your shorts soon on the ground as well. You put on the black leggings and the red hoodie that matched perfectly with it. You then folded the other two pieces of clothing before tucking them away in one of the drawers. Once checking yourself in the mirror within the closet you slid the closet door open, stepping into the room, but stopped in your tracks.
Jungkook was in the process of putting on the large black shirt he had found in the closet, his chest bare.
For the first time you felt dazed by him, unable to look away from the sight in front of you. It wasn’t the first time you’d seen him like that, but for some reason for the first time you felt the same way as all the girls you would tease him about felt.
Jungkook’s head popped up from the hole as he pulled the shirt down. His eyes found yours, observing the red hoodie which was definitely too big for you, yet he couldn’t deny how nice it looked on you.
Cute, he thought before noticing your stare on him. He cocked his head to the side, curious about your shocked looking state.
“What?” he asked going over to you.
“Um, nothing.” you shook your thoughts away “Let’s go.”
You both walked down the hall quietly, trying to remember the way to the kitchen. Eventually you both spotted the large kitchen once you got into the living room, catching Jaekook sitting on a chair around a marble island.
“Good morning.” Mia said in her robotic voice as she placed three plates of omelettes onto the table.
You both replied back, still finding it weird to be talking to a robot.
“Does she do all the cooking?” Jungkook asked, referring to the robot that wiped the counters. Jaekook nodded in response, his mouth full of food.
“My mom does cook sometimes, but doesn’t trust my dad in the kitchen.”
You snorted, trying to hide your laugh.
“I wouldn’t either.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes and poked at the hot omlette in front of him.
The three of you ate silently, the only sound coming from the clinging of the forks and the wheels of Mia rolling around the kitchen. A sudden question popped up in your mind as you ate.
“How do you think we’ll get back?” you asked Jungkook quietly. You watched as he put his fork down, his dark eyes meeting with yours.
“I don’t know.”
