Prolouge
I run around chasing my older sister giggling happily as our mother plants some flowers not far away from us.
"Y/N come and get me." My older sister, Lexi, yells. I continue chasing her down the hill as we both laugh.
Suddenly, she trips and falls, as she starts tumbling down the hill. "LEXI!" I try my best to run after her and catch her, knowing that the hill will drop off soon and leave next to no time to catch her.
While still running after her, I call out for our mother to come help. Within a matter of minutes, everything is over and my sister is no longer tumbling down the hill. Her head is busted and she has scraps all over her. Mom didn't come.
I try my best to carry her home but she is slowly growing colder. In desperation to save Lexi's life, I keep screaming at the top of my lungs for someone, anyone, to help us. Despite my efforts, she doesn't make it, and I won't if I don't find home.
As the sun sets I keep carrying Lexi's body towards what I hope is home. Slowly I open the door to find my mother gone. I run to mine and Lexi's room to make sure this is really home. Then I check mom's room one last time and a book falls onto the floor that opens a secret door. Placing my sister's body safely somewhere I grab a torch and head into the dark corridor to find a dark library.
I pick up a big book with a circular symbol on it and remember my deceased father talking about this, about human transmutation. He was determined to crack the secret to it. Thankfully he taught us both a decent amount about it. Lugging a bag full of books I sit by my sister's body tears filling my eyes. I think back to what my alchemy teacher taught me the other day.
I take a deep breathe as I grab a piece of chalk and draw the complex human transmutation circle with my sister's body in the middle.
'Lexi..I'm sorry..I can't do this..' I stare over Lexi's body trying not to cry and turn away from the taboo I almost committed. As I reach the door to leave I start to hear whispers that urge me back to the circle. I soon loose control of my motions.
"Why are you tempting me? I want to be alive again. Please Y/N be strong. Don't hurt me again." A voice sounding so simliar to Lexi says.
I walk back towards the circle loosing all feeling in my body and I start to freak out a bit. 'What's happening??' I think to myself. Without thinking I clap my hands together. The wind blows and I can faintly hear the words 'You will be a great sacrifice'.
My hands are forced down onto the circle begining the transmutation. Bright blue flashes of light come from all angles that suddenly turn red. I want to jerk my hands off the ground but I can't seem to pry them from the ground.
My body starts decomposing into nothing and I scream for help. I pass through a long tunnel of..something of great knowledge and I feel as if my head will explode. When I feel like I can't take anymore I see Lexi waiting for me at the end. I reach my hand out for her but just as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared and I found myself standing before somone. It explained who it was. "You..you seem like you'd be fun to mess with. How about this? Let's play a game." The being said to which I responded with silence. "Since you came here I have to take your toll. Normal tolls are decently small but I am going to take three tolls and in exchange I shall give you one ability that no one else will have. I will grant you the power of healing without the use of the philosophers stone. In say 4 years time you will come back and see if you know how to defeat me. If you do then you win this. If you don't then I will take a greater toll."
I look around. 'If I do this then I have a better chance of surviving this but a higher risk of dying later. If I don't do this I could very possibly die.' I pondered on this for a while when my mouth spoke on it's own. "Deal." I quickly covered my mouth and the being grew a large smile. "See you in four years." The being replaced it's entire left leg, the lower half of it's right arm and it's entire left arm with what was mine and I scream in agony. "Make this quick. I have another person to tend to." The being said as my body made it's way back home.
I quickly sealed off my wounds and limped away from the rebound my sister was turned into. I limped for a while to find a real doctor to help me. After a few days of travel I found a lit up home and a sign that read 'Rockbell Automail'. I pounded on the door and was welcomed by a young blonde girl and a tall suit of armor picked me up and put me inside. My eyes grew heavy and I began to black out.
