10 ~ Waiting
heres an update i bet you reckoned you thought you weren't getting i guess lmaooo
A few months passed. Jane was now doing almost all her school work from home, and Catherine was growing more and more anxious to leave Jane every day. A lot could happen in those six hours she was away.
Catherine was grateful Jane regularly communicated with her, and the rest of the group, while she was at school. Anna was least afraid of breaking the no phones policy, so they usually all replied from her device, although that was rather entertaining when Anna wasn't around, as it was all programmed in German, so even the most simple of tasks had become presented as impossible.
"Shit. How do we send-" Anne looked at the rest of them, before holding down the home screen to activate Siri, "Parle Vous Anglais?"
"Anne that wont fucking work because you're not asking in german, and if we do that we could reset Anna's whole phone so lets just not- come on we must be able to figure it out-"
The groups bickering was interrupted by a short woman in heels, pacing down the corridor. She was smaller than all the girls but through her dress sense was evidently a teacher. Her tight black jeans and top, adorned to match her medium length hair, was covered by a long beige cardigan. "Phone please girls," She put her palm out, "the phone owner has detention with me on Friday, alright?" A begrudging look washed over Catherine's face as she reluctantly forced the small device into the woman's hand.
"Now Jane could go into labour and i'll have no idea. Thanks you Anne. Thanks a fucking lot," She folded her arms.
"Woah woah Catalina," Cathy watched their English teacher walk away, "You can't blame Anne! You two were arguing! And even if you weren't, she still would have seen us! So it's not fair to completely blame Anne!"
"Yeah, yeah right," The sarcasm coursed through Catherine's voice. "I'm fucking done," She walked with purpose, her sleeves coming over her small hands to wipe the tears escaping from her eyes. She carried herself down the English stairs, talking a wander into the Languages department, sneaking a look at her phone where she could.
"I hate you Boleyn." She mumbled, "I hate you so much," she took herself to old sixth form language room. They were always quite small and therefore quiet, a good space for Catherine to collect herself.
A group of boys, likely the year below from what Catherine could make out, saw her, and began pointing and laughing.
"Thats that gay one thats dating the pregnant cheerleader, you know she cheated right! Thats how babies are made!" One, with obscenely curly, awfully highlighted, blonde hair piled on top, spoke at the top of his voice. His shouts penetrated the thin glass sheet providing the only barrier between Catherine and these outsiders.
She waited until they left. She waited after they left. She waited for the bell to signal it was final period. She waited for the bell to signal it was the end of the day. She waited.
Then she ran home.
