Tensions were high, bets were placed, it all comes to this second set.

If we loose this, Im force to say goodbye to my one and only sport, bit if somehow win this, we get to face Sunset and Twilight in the last round.

After me and Applejack managed to get out of that awkward situation, we immediately ran back to our side to wait for Flash's command.

Now that we face each other in different sides of the court, we quickly got back to our stances, still Sharing the same focused yet passionate looks.

Waiting for the ball to be thrown, I carefully examined where Twilight was located to think about my next move.

Unlike last time, This time my hopes and courage grew for this game as well with the fact I might have a chance of winning and taking that title.

I can finally trust Applejack now, her tosses, her care and the person she is.. I now feel comfortable to play with her.

Since Sunset won the first set, the ball was firstly thrown to Applejack for her to serve at the back.

F: "Apples, your up." Flash scoffed, throwing the ball to Applejack.

The cowgirl then smiled and nodded back before walking to the back, bouncing the ball on the floor multiple times afterwards.

Rd: "A-Applejack nice serve!"

Aj: "I know, dumbass."

And that exact moment, Flash suddenly blew out his whistle, making the match to continue again for its 2nd set.

Not long after the loud sound, Applejack quickly threw the ball into the air with her right hand, doing a 3-step approach to match and connect it after.

"P O W!"

The loud sound and impact of her serve was heard all over the court as the ball quickly flew into the other side.

Ts: "Sunset!" Twilight called before receiving the ball, hitting it back into the air.

As the ball flew back into the air, it slowly lost its momentum which made an opportunity for Sunset to spike.

Ss: "Got it!" Our captain yelled, taking a few steps back.

She then ran after the ball and jumped vertically, just in time to connect and slam the ball back to our base.

Rd: "Applejack!" I cried after switching positions with Applejack.

But when I noticed Twilight's eyes followed my movement, my instincts quickly rushed throughout my body, making me move without thinking properly.

Ts: "Sh*t they're gonna-"

Before Twilight could even finish talking, her eyes immediately widened as she stayed in her same position, not moving and yet so speechless.

What she didn't saw was I was already up in the air, waiting for Applejack's tosses.

And there I slammed the ball into their base without the two of them even aware of it.

Both were shocked, speechless and angered that we managed to strike and take the first point.

With Applejack's flawless tosses and my quick movements, together were unstoppable.

This is why we were given the title, "The freak duo"

As soon I got back down to the ground, I raised my hand into the air as I let out a loud cheer.

Rd: "HELL YEAH!"

I then looked to my right and saw Applejack with a weak smile while placing her hand on the back of her head.

Aj: "N-ni.. N-nice." She managed to choke out after looking away.

Rd: "Aww is the queen learning to be kind now?" I teased.

Aj: "The hell did you just say, shrimpy?"

Rd: "Oh nothing, its just you look like a freaking 10 foot giraffe. Not to mention a dumb gira-"

I was cut off when I she looked back into my eyes, making that freaky death look of hers.

Rd: "S-sorry.." I chuckled before facing Sunset Shimmer from the other side of the court.

And there I saw Sunset, she was smiling at me..

*1 hour later-

F: "MATCH POINT!" Flash yelled as he scored another point for our team.

All were exhausted and tired, barely unable to move. We were panting heavily as sweats started to drip down our face.

With the score of 24-23, me and Applejack's charisma was still high up, knowing that we might have a chance to counter back.

Rd: "O-once.. More." I was able to mutter between my pant.

Aj: "Only.. One more point." Applejack smiled after bending down to her knees.

Since Sunset won the last set, Twilight was tasked to serve the ball as soon Flash gave the command.

As usual, it took Twilight a few seconds within the 8 second countdown to serve.

She first thought of the perfect angle to serve the ball, closing one eye to aim upwards the net.

Moments later, she took a deep breath before tossing the ball upward and spiked it with her right with such force and angle.

Rd: "Aj, cover, cover!"

Aj: "Got it!" Applejack yelled back after she did her upward toss before the ball could lower down to our base.

I smiled at the sight, the clear view and the fact that Sunset and her lover wasn't after me to stop my attack.

Without any hesitation, I adjusted my arms and ran after the ball with my maximum speed.

As soon I jumped high up into the air, the light above us blinded my sight for a quick second as my hair flew in the direction of the wind.

And there I thought I had a clear shot of spiking the ball.. To end this set once and for all.

But I was wrong.

When I was about to spike the ball, I noticed something raise in front of me which made my eyes widened in slight shock.

It was Twilight!

Rd: "Danm.. How did she get here so fast?!" I thought to myself while watching her hand cover my clear view of the summit.

Even though I had no choice but to spike the ball, I managed to hit it above her hand.

Tw: "ONE TOUCH!" Twilight yelled as soon the ball hit the tip of her fingertips.

The ball suddenly lost its momentum as it slowly falls into Sunset's arms.

Ss: "Twilight!"

After the ball was set for Twilight, my eyes followed her every single move. The way she stands, her stance and the direction in her eyes.. I know what's coming next.

I may not be the current Ace, but I was trained to be a middle blocker!

As soon I saw Twilight's eyes followed the ball coming in her direction, I immediately ran in front of her and jumped up, reaching both my hands into the air.

At last, I finally perfected the timing which made a grin form in the 2nd year's face.

Since Applejack was guarding the left side in case for a cross shot, Twilight had no choice but to do the same thing I did, reflecting the ball again to make a chance ball happen.

Suddenly, the ball flew upwards into the middle of the net, not knowing which side will it drop.

But when I was about to follow its landing, my eyes widened when I heard familiar voices yelling our name.

"COUNTER BACK!!!"

I quickly looked back and saw Rarity, Pinkie pie and some of our teammates cheering for us.

The seriousness plastered in their faces tells me everything. They wanted me to win, THEY WANT US TO COUNTER BACK!

R: "ATTACK!" Rarity yelled in a loud voice as her hand quickly formed into fists.

While some of our teammates continued to support me, I noticed that not all of them was in our side.

"BLOCK THEM!" Two girls yelled at the same time.

It was Countess and Fluttershy, they were in Sunset's side. They wanted us to loose, they want us to accept defeat!

But none of it matter..

With the rising passion deep inside my soul, an irresistible smile quickly formed in my face before looking away from the crowd.

When I realized the ball was about to fall right in the net, I immediately jumped for it and slammed my right hand to somehow push it to the other side.

This is it.. Were about to end this!

But they were not going down without a fight..

As soon I felt the ball in my palm, I felt another force pushing it to my side.

It was Twilight, she was pushing the ball backwards to fall onto our base.

It was true, she was stronger than me. Her strength was making me loose my grip on the ball, not to mention the gravity pulling me back down.

Is this it? Can we even counter back?

But before Twilight could push it back, something in me just snapped.

Rd: "NOT THIS TIME!" I growled back before pushing the ball with all my force.

And there we saw the ball fall to their base and Sunset wasn't there to support Twilight.

This is it.. We finally counter back..

We took back the second set!
