*2 days later-

The time has finally come.

I know I now have the perfect amount of practice for the big face off later when class ends. Just thinking about it makes my excitement rises as well with the nervous feeling in my chest.

Since the the thunderstorm changed its course away from Equestria, classes were resumed again which made me and Applejack meet again.

But instead of pissing the hell out of each other last last time, this time we just stayes silent and looked into different directions.

She may have forgiven me from breaking my heart but she still acts so angry and annoyed around me. What the hell?

Maybe she thinks Im still angry at her.. Which was true. Now that I think of it, I put my sport first than my Friends nor my love ones.

But when she admitted she tried to stop me, some part of me wants to forgive her. Overall, Im still slightly mad at her.

"T I C K!" I heard the wall clock moved its long hand to 4:26.

At this point I can no longer hold in my excitement as the clocks ticks its final minutes, barely listening to our teacher of course.

I kept moving my feet and tapping my pen at my desk while constantly looking back and forth to check the time.

Rd: "Danm is time really this slow when your watching it?!" I asked myself with a grumpy face.

Luckily no body ever noticed me acting weird at the back of the class. Well all except for my two classmates beside me.

Zb: 'Hey you okay Rainbows?" Zephyr breeze asked after he did a cool looking pose with his chair.

Rd: "No. Im. Not. Bob." I replied, stopping in parts.

Zb: "For the 67th time, my name is not Bob!"

Rd: "Make that 68th, Bob."

Zb: 'Oh haha Dash. " He started before moving his chair slightly closer to mine. "I heard the volleyball club is gonna go out tomorrow."

Rd: "So? I left, remember?"

Zb: "YOU WHAT?!" He shockingly asked, causing all of the class' attention to turn on us.

"Is there a problem back there?" Our teacher asked.

Rd: "N-no ma'am.."

"Good, now please pay attention to the lesson." Ms. Cheerilee replied, almost shouting in a frustrated tone.

After all of my classmates turned their attention back at the lesson, I immediately looked to Zephyr and flicked my middle finger up to him.

Zb: "Woah no need to be harsh Dashie."

Rd: "I told you to don't freaking call me that."

Zb: "Tsk, why would I? It makes you look cute."

Rd: "Screw you, Breeze." I growled back after moving my seat away from him and slightly closer to Applejack.

Now that Zephyr is no longer my problem, I returned thinking to my game plans for later's match.

It scares me just thinking about how will I face her, can I really challenge her like that after leaving the club?

For the volleyball club, today is their last day of school because we- they will all head to another district tomorrow for the prefecture qualifying matches.

If we somehow win the qualifying matches, we'll move on to Nationals and that's the time where ny career will slowly grow.

Aside from the continues pain from my stomach because I got even more nervous, something else is bothering me.

Its our Captain and her perverted egghead lover. Pinkie Pie mentioned to me that this school year is their last before graduating for college.

So if they leave next year.. That means were no longer teammates nor in the same school. I Wonder who will take her role as the captain in our team?

While I continued tapping my pen on my desk, I felt a hand grabbed mine with force, making me snap out of my thoughts and turn to my left.

There I saw Applejack grabbing my hand. Her hat was was covering her face which made it hard for me to see her face or her angered eyes.

Rd: "Ack- What the hell man?" I growled after pulling my hand away.

Aj: "Stop tapping your pen, some of us are annoyed by it."

Rd: "Let me guess, that someone is you. I dont see anybody complaining except you."

Aj: "In the name of Celestia are you that dumb?!"

Rd: "We just had that talk back at your place and you suddenly became a jackass again? Wow Applejack, just wow."

Aj: "Oh shut the he-"

"APPLEJACK, RAINBOW DASH, BE QUIET BACK THERE!" The teacher yelled at us.

I just rolled my eyes and lastly giving a worried look to the cowgirl, turning back to the wall clock afterwards.

Rd: "4:29.. Were almost there.." I said to myself with an irritable grin.

But there's something else overthrowing me and it wasn't my nervousness nor excitement for later. No, its the guilt I have for Applejack.

After having that talk with Pinkie back at the park, I realize that my upperclassmen already handled this situation with Sunset and Twilight's relationship.

For me and Applejack, the situation is not that different. At first Sunset told me to stay Friends with Applejack but her old self didn't even do that..

If Volleyball was that valuable for Sunset.. Then why is she with Twilight now? Why are they dating and loving each other if Sunset gets distracted from her?!

Its all a mystery for now.. I'll get to know her secret one day.

"R I N G !"

I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts as soon I heard the bell rang for our dismissal.

Without any hesitation, I immediately stuffed all my things in my bag and ran out of the room while my classmates were just beginning their things.

But I wasn't the only one rushing out of the room, when I heard heavy footsteps coming behind me, I quickly looked around and what I saw made my eyes widened in surprise.

It was Applejack, she was placing her hat onto her chest as she ran with her full speed in the hallways. And Im guessing she's heading into the same direction Im going to.

An irresistible grin then went up my face before I increased my running spead, dodging all the students in my way in the process.

Applejack on the other hand just ran them over, pushing them to the sides to make way for her. Geez she's still the same old asshole.

It only took one short break for me to make the cowgirl match with me. Now that the race is neck to neck, both of us began running in our limits till to the point we made it outside the building.

I missed this, me and Aj's races brings back memories. I remember we used to race to any room and made it a bug deal to brag about it, but not this time.

Finally, after a few minutes of running, I immediately leaped to the staircase and made a hard landing with my hands.

Rd: "I.. Win." I managed to choke out, still panting from the exhaustion.

When Applejack finally caught up to me, she bent to her knees and and breath heavily.

Aj: "Why in tarnation.. Are you here Dash?" She asked in a tired tone in her voice.

Rd: "I freaking win.."

Aj: "Shut up and answer my question, dumbass!"

I then got back to my feet and removed the dust from my shirt. Luckily our last subject was Physical Education so we still have our sports uniform on.

Rd: "Just watch and see.." I lastly said before placing my hand on the gym doors, taking one last deep breath afterwards.

As soon I opened the door, all of them turned their attention to me and Applejack.

From the sound of their shoes squeaking, the smell of the court and the gust of wind blowing my hair back. It all makes me feel welcome and free.

All of them stopped playing and turned to us with their shock look, but not Rarity and Pinkie who have each other high fives when they saw me.

My team.. I missed them so much.

Pp: "DASHIE YOU CAME BACK!" Pinkie cheered as she ran up to me, jumping at me for a hug.

But before she could even touch me, Applejack quickly covered her way and nodded her head at me. So I nodded back before gathering all my courage to do this.

After a few seconds of silence, I finally took a step closer to our captain who was no giving me a slightly disturbed look.

Ss: "R-Rainbow.."

Rd: "Captain.. I challenge you for the ACE title!" I yelled back with pure confidence, making all of my teammates gasped in shock.

Ss: "W-what?"

Rd: "You heard me. I'll show you that Im worthy of becoming the Ace, I maybe a useless player to you but Im not giving up on my dreams!"

Suddenly, Twilight stepped between us and gently pushed me away.

Ts: "Rainbow.. Do you realize you already left the club?"

I chuckled, placing my bag down to the ground to grab something inside.

Rd: "Not yet.." I smirked as I showed her my-

Ts: 'Your C-club application form.. "

Rd: "I never threw nor ripped it apart so that means Im still in the team!"

Ts: "But you-" Twilight was cut off when Sunset pulled her back to face me.

Ss: "You know kid, If Im betting my title on the line, you should too.."

Pp: "Sunset what are you doi-"

Ss: "Challenge rules, all Ace's haves one."

R: "You can't be serious captain! We all know Rainbow's gonna loos-"

I slammed my foot onto the ground, creating a loud squeaky noise which made everybody stop talking.

Rd: "Deal.." I started, offering my hand to her for a hand shake.

"If I win, I'll be the official Ace of CHS"

Ss: "And if you loose?" She arched an eyebrow at me.

Rd: "If I loose, you keep your title and I'll.. STOP PLAYING VOLLEYBALL, FOREVER!"
