As soon the captain declared a practice match, my excitement rised because I get to show them my skills, Aj on the other hand was shocked but angry at the same time.

Aj: "No way im going to play with the freaking dwarf beside me."

Rd: "Hey! Screw yo-"

Ts: "Hey no fighting you two." Twilight giggled, pushing me a way from Applejack.

Ss: "You two want to join right?"

Rd: "Of course captain." I answered with a serious look.

Ss: "Thats already clear, how about you?" She asked , pointing at the cowgirl and getting her attention.

Aj: "Of course I want to join!"

Ss: "But you dont seem to be passionate about it." Sunset replied with a scary grin.

Applejack was about to talk back but she stopped for some reason. I carefully moved closer to Twilight and tugging her shirt to hint something.

I then leaned closer to her ear and asked something that confused me.

Rd: "Why did Sunset say that? She's making the cowgirl furious."

Twilight smiled back and patted my back before answering me.

Ts: "This is common for Sunset, she's just testing her.." Twilight replied with a warm smile.

I nodded 'yes' and looked back to Applejack, her head was slightly bent to avoid us from seeing her face. Eventually, she finally took a deep breath and faced Sunset.

Aj: "Of course Im passionate about it! I can bring this team into the nationals!" Applejack growled with confidence.

Sunset giggled softly and grinned before approaching Applejack and offering her a hand shake.

Ss: "Fine.. Prove it first."

Applejack chuckled while accepting Sunset's hand shake.

Aj: "I will..." She lastly said before walking towards me so the captain can decide on the teams.

After a few minutes of thinking, Sunset finally picked her team.

Ss: " Twilight, Pinkie and me. "

As soon me and Aj realized that were on the same team, we immediately shared looks in a shocked way.

Rd: "Wait.."

Aj: " I have to team up with you?!"

R: "Can you two stop fighting?!" Rarity yelled while slamming her hands on our back which made us gasp in shock.

Ss: "Its settled then, Pinkie go help Twilight get the practice uniforms at the back."

While the upperclassmen were fixing the nets, Applejack tried to approach the captain but she was to scared whenever Sunset gives her the creepy grin from before which was absolutely hilarious for me to watch.

Rd: "Stop trying to make the captain make you switch teams." I told Aj with a laugh but she immediately shot me with a threatening look.

Aj: "Shut up! You better not get in my way." She replied with a mad tone in her voice.

Rd: "Me? Get in your way? Pfff~ you need to toss me the ball remember?"

Aj: "Nah Im just gonna toss all of it to Rarity." Aj answered with a teasing smile.

Rd: "Heh?! Idiot! Im a wing- spiker too ya know?"

Aj: "Do I look like I care? Besides, I only toss the ball to the people who is capable of winning."

Rd: "Then toss it to me!"

Applejack laughed and turned her back on me, I swear I was getting furious any second now but.. The cowgirl just pisses me off.

Aj: "I'll toss it to you when your already capable of winning." She lastly said before walking towards Rarity.

I growled in anger and ran after her, grabbing her hand to face me after wards. Her eyes widened as she tried to push me away but I kept my tight grip on her arm.

Rd: "Toss me the ball! I can win why cant you see that?!" I growled, getting the attention of the other upperclassmen.

Aj: "Get your hands off me!" She yelled back as she pushed me away from her leading me to tall on the ground.

I looked up and saw her eyes widened in shock. Applejack immediately glanced around the upperclassmen around us with a worried look on her face.

Aj: "Captain.. I can-" Aj was quickly interrupted when she saw Sunset giving her a angered and serious look.

Sunset then helped me get back to me feet and pointing at the exit afterwards which made me and Applejack confused.

Ss: "Im not signing your club forms unless you two make up!" Sunset growled in anger.

Rd: "Captain I-" as soon I saw Sunset's anger gets worse, I immediately stopped walking and slowly walked towards the door.

Applejack was still shocked but she has no choice but to exit the building with me.

As soon we got outside, Rarity gave us a warm smile before closing the doors. I sighed in disappointment before leaning against the wall.

Applejack just stood there, bowing her head but she's clearly mad at me. I took a deep breath and decided to apologize but she immediately slammed me to the wall and pinning me with mad force, making me gasp in shock and pain.

Rd: "Ack! Applejack what the he-" I stopped talking when I saw her angered emerald eyes. I saw those before.. Its the same eyes when she pinned me at the bathroom back at the tournament last year.

Aj: "Why are you even here?! Why do you make things worse for me?!" She cried out while tightening both her grip on my hands.

Rd: "What do you mean I making things worse for you?! What did I even do to you?" I asked in confusion.

She kept on staring into my eyes for seconds, until she looked away afterwards and finally answering my question.

Aj: "You really dont get it.. Do you?"

Rd: "Get what?! Please let me go Applejack.. Im sorry okay?!" I begged but she ignored me.

She sighed before letting me go, I then fell to the ground and looking up to see her emerald eyes, instead of seeing her angered ones, she was somehow scared.

Aj: "I- im sorry.."

Rd: "Applejack.. Please tell me why do you hate me so much? What did I do to you?!" I asked again, getting back to my feet to confront her.

Aj: "I.. I just.. You know what? Its stupid." She replied before walking away.

Rd: "Hey dont leave!" I yelled while I ran after her and grabbing her hand.

She turned around and I saw her eyes tearing up. I gasped in shock and told her what's wrong with her, but she dint answered me before seating down in front of the gym's door.

I sighed and sat down beside her, placing my hand on her shoulder afterwards. Even though I try to look at her shining emerald eyes, she kept on looking away.

"Whats wrong with her? Sure I envy her back at 6th grade for her height and  skills but why does she seemed to be affected the most?" I asked myself while waiting for Applejack to speak up.

"And why is the weird heavy feeling coming back to me?"

"Im sorry.. "

I turned around as soon I heard Applejack's voice. She was wiping away her tears while forcing a smile on her face.

Rd: "Hey.. Its okay.." I sincerely replied with a warm smile.

She smiled back while pushing my hand off her shoulder which made me laugh softly. Its so rare of me to see her smile, its somehow cute..

Rd: "Ya know.. Im really dying to play volleyball right now so.. Lets show the captain were okay?" I told her with a smile while offering a hand shake.

She laughed before standing up, she then accepted my hand shake and helping me get back to my feet after.

Aj: "Fine, lets go.."

"But were still not friends," she added with a serious look.

Rd: "Seriously? Whatever you just like me."

Aj: "Ya want me to punch you again?"

Rd: "No ma'am."

Aj: "Good, lets go." She lastly said before placing her hand on the doorknob.

Rd: "Wait!" I yelled, making her to stop opening the door and facing to me.

Aj: "What?" She asked, I then took a deep breath and faced her with a serious look.

Rd: "Why dont you wanna toss to me?"

Aj: "You wanna know why shortie?"

Rd: "Stop calling me that! And heck yeah I wanna know so spill it."

Aj: "Fine, its because your selfishness is going to destroy this team's balance." She admitted with a grin.

Rd: "What do you mean?! I can be a team player unlike you who kept stealing the ball from other players just to toss them to another spiker back at the tournament last year!"

Aj: "Shut up!"

Rd: "And hey, whats so great about a setter anyway? Its so clear that us wing spikers are way more- ACK!!!" I teasingly replied but I gasped at the end as soon I felt Aj's fist slamming on my stomach.

I then fell to my knees and looked up to the cowgirl who I used to admire from afar.

Aj: "Setters are the most important players in the court! They assist and toss the ball to their spiker in order for them to win a point! Sure Wing spikers takes all the credit for slamming the ball, but we setters are the one who built the momentum and control the ball towards them!"

After hearing all of that, my perspective changed towards setters including her. She was breathing heavily while watching me get up to my feet.

Aj: "You say wing spikers are the best, so prove it. Talk big when you can actually back it up, Rainbow." The cowgirl lastly said before walking to the door and knocking 3 times.

Rd: "You.. Idiot.."

She ignored me and waited for the door to open. But when it slowly opened, Captain Sunset was standing infront of her, her arms was crossed while she still has the same scary look from before.

Aj: "Captain.. I. Uh- Ehem, me and Rainbow Dash finally made amends."

Ss: "Oh really? Then why is she struggling to get back to her feet?" Sunset asked as she pointed at me.

Applejack was again speechless but she tried to lie some more even through she completely sucks at it. Sunset dint believed her and befan to close the door again.

Ss: "We watched you guys from the windows so try again first year." Sunset lastly told Aj while pointing at the small windows at the side.

Aj gasped and tried to talk to Sunset but she closed the door. Applejack then groaned while approaching towards me.

Aj: "Get up come on.."

Rd: "How? You just freaking punched me in the stomach."

Aj: "I'll do it again if ya dont."

Rd: "Fine! Here im doing it see?" I nervously replied while struggling to get back to my feet.

I heard Aj sighed and offered me her hand which made me confused.

Rd: "Eh?"

Aj: "You want my help or not?!" She asked nervously after looking at the other way to avoid me from seeing her blushing face.

I giggled softly and took her hand to help me stand up.

Aj: "Your welcome, lets go." She said while walking back to the doors.

Even though she haven't apologized yet, a part of me forgives her but another part of me still envies her. So I just followed her without saying anything.

She then knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it, after a few seconds passed, Rarity finally opened it.

Aj:"We finally made amends.. Really" she lied again.

R: "Did you already apologized to her darling?" Rarity asked with a weird grin.

Aj was silent for a few seconds but she turned around to face me. Unexpectedly, she winked at me and smiled in a weird way which freaked me out.

Aj: "Yeah.. We did."

R: "Fine, come inside. Sunset is waiting for you guys." Rarity happily said before running towards our side of the court.

Applejack then took a few steps back to stand next to me, I looked back at her and I saw she was giving me this nervous smile.

Aj: "Lets go in.. Im sorry." She whispered into my ear.

Rd: "Its okay.. Just dont punch me next time okay?" I replied with a laugh.

Aj: "Deal." She then started to walk into the gym but I stopped her.

Rd:" Wait.. Does that means were friends now?" I asked with a teasing smile.

She smiled back and stick her tongue out to tease me.

Aj: "No."

I just sighed and followed her inside, our upperclassmen were already wearing their practice uniforms and waiting at their side of the court.

Ss: "Come on you two, your uniforms are over there so wear it and lets get started."

Me and Aj agreed, running towards the bench to grab our uniforms.

Even though me and the cowgirl fought a while ago, I cant stop looking at her..

I wonder why..

"LETS GET THIS MATCH STARTED!" Pinkie happily yelled in the distance.

I took a deep breath and walked to the side of the court where Rarity is standing.

I know Applejack wont toss the ball to me.. So I need to get her trust during the match.

How will this end? I just want her to be my friend..

This match will be a disaster..
