"Wow!" I heard someone happily yelled at the distance, getting my attention so I followed the continues cheering.

I saw that people are gathered around outside the television store in our street.

"Why are they cheering? What's going on?" I asked myself as I decided to squeeze my way in through the tall screaming adults.

But when I finally saw the reason why are they cheering, my atmosphere changed when I saw a tiny kid jumped.. No he was flying! He then slammed the ball into the ground with force causing a loud noise that shocked the people.

"Thats him! The ace!" This kid, pointing his tiny hand to the boy on the television.

"What is this? What am I feeling.. Energized and excited for some reason.."

Thats the moment where I decide..

I want to become the next Ace.

*Back to the present~

"Hey Rainbow.. Rainbow Dash wake up!"

I slowly opened my eyes as soon I heard someone yelling my name, I looked to my side and saw Fluttershy with a worried look.

"Were here now Rainbow.." She said quietly as she pointed at the window beside me.

My eyes widen in excitement as I glance around this huge building. "Wow.." I gasped to myself, admiring the view.

"Lets go Fluttershy." I said in joy before stepping out of the buss in a hurry.

"Wait up! Im feeling nervous than before~" the light pink haired girl giggled while following me.

I stopped walking as soon I saw the players from different schools.. They were taller than me as usual, but I got the confidence to fight with my height.

"Im scared Dashie.. What if we get wrecked in the first set?" Fluttershy nervously told me while grabbing my hand.

I smiled at her and patted her back. Fluttershy has been my best friend since 3rd grade, sure she's shy and scared most of the times but she's one good setter. My team might be a burden to all of us but.. Me and Fluttershy will carry this team to victory.

"Dont worry Flutters, as long Im here and your always there to toss the ball to me, we'll be unstoppable!"

"I know but.. This is our first match, and our opponents are huge!"

"I know but.. I wasted all my time training and getting into trouble just because I want to be here.. I want to fight with my height. Im sure we'll win." I lastly replied before walking towards our coach.

"Besides, just keep tossing the ball to me, it will be a guaranteed win." I added with a smile.

"Oh okay." Flutter shy replied cutely before helping the others carry our equipment.

"Rainbow dash!" A manly voice yelled at the back. I turned around and saw my coach, Sir Big McIntosh.

"Yes sir?" I asked confused after I ran up to him.

"You are this team's captain.. Make sure that everybody gets the ball unlike last time"

"But Sir I already got this! I'll just win the set by Fluttershy passing to m-" I was cut off when Coach McIntosh gave me a mad look which made me scared a bit. He then sighed and kneeled down to match my height.

"Listen kid.. Team cooperation is a major thing in volleyball, now if you want to win this before graduating.. Stick to the plan we made yesterday okay? You cant fight everything with height you know?" He lastly explained as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

I just completely ignored everything he said, I can carry this team on my own.. Why cant he see that? I just pretended to agree and gathered all my team to form a straight line.

"Lets go!" My coach yelled in joy as he leads us inside the court. But as soon I stepped inside, my excitement rises as I glance at the massive place. Theres was a gust of wind passed by my hair while I held Fluttershy's hand.

"This is.. Awesome.." I whispered to her ear, making her blush for unknown reasons.

"Alright, time for final practice. Lets go!" The coach yelled, handing us our uniforms and some balls.

I catched the ball that Coach McIntosh threw with joy, I bounced it on the wall while waiting for Fluttershy to get ready.

"Hey captain."

I turned around and saw the other wing spiker in my team, Gilda. I waved my hand hello to her but she completely ignored it and approached me with a scary look.

"What do you want?" I asked confused.

"Look, your height looks stupid. Its making us look weak out here. I cant believed that you were picked captain, what did Coach McIntosh even see in you?"

I slightly bowed my head and chuckled soflty which made Gilda confused as heck. Everybody keeps on underestimating me because of my height, but Im proud of it because its my weapon to attack in the battlefield of Volleyball.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked with a scared tone in her voice as she takes a few steps back.

"Why? Cause Im sure that I will win this without your help. Sure you got some height but you dont have my skill." I confidently answered her question with a creepy grin.

"Your weird.. Im just glad that Im moving schools next year so I wont get to see you again." She lastly replied before returning to the rest of my teams.

I sighed and continued to toss the ball on the wall, why is Fluttershy taking too long? She must be so nervous because this is her first match.. Nah whatever, I can still bring a victory to this team without her help.

"All right team gather around!"

I then catched the ball mid air and immediately ran back to my team for the final meeting before our match starts.

"Alright team, the team that we will be facing today is Crystal Prep Elementary school. They are basically known for being a powerhouse at both Elementary and Highschool department so be warned. Here is our strategy for today.-"

While listening the the coach, I heard a door open at the back so I turned around to see a team making an entrance. But besides their heights, this one particular girl is wearing a cowboy hat for some reason, weird.. She has this long blond hair in a pony tail and her height was about.. 5'2 I guess.

i was so busy staring at her that I completely forgot to listen to the coach's plan.

"I dont need a plan.. I already got this in the bag." I thought to myself as I kept on staring at the other team's members.

"Rainbow Dash."

"RAINBOW DASH!"

I quickly turned around as soon I heard my name being yelled. I saw Coach McIntosh and my team giving me a confused look.

"Are you even listenin'?" He asked.

"Yes sir. Always."

"Alright, good luck to you all. Get in positions!" The coach yelled with a smile, giving the others determination to win.

Before starting our game, both of the the teams will play a short volley to decide who will serve. And we luckily get to play first.

As soon we stepped into our positions, I gave a thumbs up to Fluttershy which was beside me, still shaking as heck.

Because we get to serve first, Gilda went at the back to serve after she was handed the ball.

"Make it a nice serve gilda!" I yelled with confidence while I do my stance. Gilda completely ignored me again and did a underhand serve which..

Flew out of the court and was counted as a point for the other team.. Great.. Just great.

"Don't mind!" I yelled again.

Because Gilda stupidly lost the serve, its time for Crystal prep to serve. The cowgirl then walked at the back at took the ball.

"This outta be good." I thought to myself, as I felt my excitement rising again.

Crystal prep's number 4, aka the cowgirl, gently toss the ball upwards and slammed it mid air.

Danm it was a float serve.. And its heading to fluttershy! Fluttershy nervously hit the ball back but it flew out if the court again.

"Danm.. That was a free shot Flutters, how could you waste that chance?" I thought to myself while my anger starts to boil little by little.

"Sorry!" Fluttershy nervously yelled.

"Dont mind.. Dont mind." I replied to her and giving her a fake smile to cheer her up.

As the match continued for minutes, the score was currently "4- 19" I was so danm pissed because Fluttershy haven't toss me the ball yet and my team kept on failing to receive.

They can clearly see that I was furious but they kept ignoring me. The coach already used all our time outs which means we cant take a break and discuss our next plan anymore..

But what disturbed me is our 4 points.. Was actually mistakes from the cowgirl at the other team. She kept on tossing the ball high that no one can connect and hit it.

She was getting really pissed like me but she kept on yelling at his team for their failures. Her tosses was perfect to be honest.. But its seems like no one can hit it.. I guess its the lack of their team cooperation.

"Rainbow its your time to serve!" Fluttershy yelled, getting back to my senses. I nodded in agreement and walked at the back of the court after I was handed the ball.

I took a deep breath and toss the ball into the air. I then jumped slightly and hit the ball mid air causing it to move around weirdly which made the other team confused.

"I got i-" The cowgirl and the other girl yelled at the same time but they were stunned and looked at each other, causing the the ball to drop on the ground and counted as our point.

"Alright!" My team yelled in joy as they gathered around and patted my back.

"Nice serve Dashie!" Fluttershy yelled with a smile. I thanked her and went back to the back to serve again.

But before going back, I saw the cowgirl yelling at his team. Geez I guess she isn't a team player after all.

I did the same thing I did a while ago but this time, the other team countered it as the setter, aka the cowgirl, tossed it upwards and waited for a spiker to jump and hit it.

I ran to the other side to block it but when the spiker hit it, it fell on my original position a while ago.

"Dont mind, don- " I was stopped when I saw Gilda giving me a mad look. She then approached me and stared directly into my eyes with pure anger.

"Stick with the plan.. Captain." She said before leaving me alone and returning to her place. I just ignored her and returned to my original place and preparing my stance.

After the other team did their serve, Gilda surprisingly received it leading to Fluttershy.

"Pass it to me Fluttershy! " I yelled in excitement as I take a few steps back to prepare my weapon.

Fluttershy agreed and tossed the ball towards my line. I then smiled irresistibly as I ran towards it and.

At last I can show my weapon and skill to the world.

My jump!

Sure I may be small.. But my height will not slow me down cause I can jump high!

Finally, I connected and smashed the ball onto the the other team's base.

When I got down, the crowd around us cheered and got shock from my massive jump.

I gave a thumbs up to Fluttershy and hinted her to give me more tosses which she agreed on.

It was Fluttershy's turn to serve the ball so she sacredly got at the back and did a underhand serve. Crystal prep revived the serve by the Cowgirl setter and tossed it upwards to their Wing spiker.

As soon I predicted where is the ball going, I jumped to block it but I was too early so they got a point. I sighed and get back to my stance.

While I watch the other team's member get the ball, I noticed that the cowgirl was looking at me weirdly.. I dunno why but she looks pretty mad.

As the game progresses.. The score was finally "10- 24"

Danm its their last point.. We'll never gonna catch up..

But this match ain't over yet.
