SS: She's My Bondita! (VJ track) - 1

This is from Vaijayanti's track, after Anirudh accepts to marry Vaijayanti.

What happens if Anirudh finds out that Vaijayanti is Bondita when she was there itself? This will be 3 or 4 chapters in total and will take a different turn than the show.

Vaijayanti

Everything about her screamed Bondita.

The same Bondita that he had been away from for eight years. The same Bondita that Anirudh Roy Choudhary had buried deep in his now lifeless heart, trying to forget.

Everything that Vaijayanti did reminded him of his Bondita.

Why

He was resting on his chair, his hand on his head. He was having another headache. These pains just didn't seem to go away.

Anirudh Roy Choudhary didn't even let pain affect him these days though, because he was just a corpse without life.

Ever since the dushmani had started between the two villages and Bondita had gone away, there was no reason for him to feel anything. His days would fly by with no happiness, no pleasure, and no pain, for even if he felt these things, they didn't sear through his soul.

He didn't laugh, and he didn't even cry.

But Vaijayanti? She made him laugh again. She made him cry again. She had become a friend to him.

Sometimes he would go to the room where he kept Bondita's memories. He would feel the ripple in his heart. He could feel the memories of her just pouring into his system. He wrote letters to her. Very often. He just never sent them to her.

These days his letters ended with par... but.

He had to stay away from her... but he kept on feeling like she was around him. He had to stay away from her, but the memories of her weren't letting him rest. He had to stay away from her, but knowing that she was back was making him restless.

He had to stay away from her and fulfil his responsibilities, but his heart was aching for her

Their relationship had always been more than anything one could conceive. His heart was filled with many emotions for her, and he had known that she was the only one for him long ago.

His par was filled with pyaar, and his but was filled with unsaid words that his soul was craving to say.

Now that she was back in India, it was becoming even more difficult for him to not go and see his Bondita -- the same Bondita who had fulfilled his dreams and become a barrister.

He wanted to engulf her in his arms and tell her how proud of her he was.

But he couldn't do that. He was helpless in this fight. He had even agreed to marry Vaijayanti, even though his whole soul was being ripped apart, because he couldn't for a second give Bondita's place to someone else. Yet, he had sacrificed everything long ago.

Despite all of this, he couldn't for a second divert his mind from her. Why?

"Bondita," he said in a deep voice, rubbing his head in pain. "Why are you so deeply embedded in my soul that I can bury my emotions, but I can't bury you?"

----

Bondita went to the Roy Choudhary haveli again the next day, in Vaijayanti's getup. She was very hurt when Anirudh agreed to marry Vaijayanti, but she had to try again. She was not someone to give up on her Sakha Babu so easily.

"I will make sure he brings my name to his lips," Bondita said, tears in her eyes. "Even if I have to set myself on fire and burn for it, I will do it. Because my Sakha Babu's happiness is everything for me. I can't see him undergo this struggle."

When she went inside the haveli, she went to his study, where he was busy writing a letter on his desk.

Anirudh looked up at her when she came, and averted his eyes with guilt.

Bondita took a deep breath and ignored the pain she was feeling. She had to pretend for a little while longer.

"Aiyo Appa!" Vaijayanti exclaimed in her Tamil accent, and went over to him behind his desk, making him look up with a start. "Barristara Babu! What's wrong with you?"

"W - What?" Anirudh asked, as she approached him, and he quickly hid the letter he had been writing.

It was yet another letter to his Bondita. Another letter that he would not send to her.

"It's so early in the morning and you have a glum look on your face!" she exclaimed. "Barristara Babu, smile a little! Your f - fiancée is here!"

Anirudh felt a heavy feeling hit his chest when she called herself his fiancée. He just looked away from her with guilt.

Vaijayanti pulled up a chair right beside him, and he stiffened on his own seat.

"We should plan our guest list! Batuk is in Idli, but we have to invite him," Vaijayanti was saying.

Anirudh averted his eyes from her and just said, "Look Vaijayanti, this marriage is... it's..."

Vaijayanti heavily sighed.

"I know, you only have Bondita in your heart," she told him bluntly, making Anirudh's heart drop at the mention of her name again. "I won't take her place Barristara Babu! But I will make my own place."

She reached to touch his hand, and he quickly pulled it away before she could even touch him.

"Vaijayanti," Anirudh said to her, not able to look in her eyes, "Y - You might not be happy..."

"I will be very happy to marry you Barristara Babu!" she told him in a cheerful tone. "But if you won't be happy, then you tell me, and give me the reason too. I promise I won't say anything to you. I will happily leave."

Anirudh finally looked at her and he said, "For me to be happy, I need to feel Vaijayanti. I don't feel anything."

Vaijayanti just slapped her head lightly and said, "Aiyo Appa! You don't feel anything? Are you a person or are you a stone?"

He just looked at her, hoping that she herself would back away from this life of misery.

"Bondita is in your heart right?" Vaijayanti asked, her tone soft. "Just tell me Barristara Babu, tell me what's in your heart."

Anirudh looked down.

"I have nothing to tell you," he just said.

"You told me that I'm pretty, then what's the problem?" she asked him, sounding sad.

He looked back up at Vaijayanti, and said, "You are pretty Vaijayanti. I'm not denying that. You're very smart, and very good too. Anyone would be lucky to have you as their wife but... I will do an injustice to you if I marry you."

In fact, he found Vaijayanti very beautiful. If he didn't have Bondita in his life, then he would undoubtedly fall for her, like he believed any man would. She was absolutely amazing. He couldn't deny that there was a connection between him and Vaijayanti, and he couldn't figure out why

What Anirudh didn't realize yet was the connection that he and Vaijayanti had was because their story was deeper than any form and any personal identity. The love he had for Bondita was purely for the essence of her, and that same essence he felt in Vaijayanti. So, it was no surprise that he would feel the same way for her as well.

This was one of the reasons why Anirudh was so confused.

"Why?" Vaijayanti demanded. "Just tell me why Barristara Babu!"

"I - I... don't know," he just mumbled, and then pushed his chair back before leaving the room.

He knew. Of course he knew why. Bondita was the reason. But he was just avoiding facing it. He was afraid that if he finally accepted the reason that he couldn't marry Vaijayanti, he would leave behind his responsibilities towards this dushmani.

How could he do that?

He had made Bondita strong and independent, and now she didn't need him. But Tulsipur? Tulsipur needed him.

Bondita watched him leave the study and sighed. It was hard to move him, but she knew that if she kept on trying then even this stone that he had become would move and become full of life again.

She wouldn't give up. No matter what

As she was leaving, she accidentally dropped her bag on the floor, the contents of her bag spilling out. She quickly gathered all of her belongings, and left the haveli.

There was a barrister identity card that was left unnoticed. It had the name Bondita Das on it, along with her black and white picture.

Later that day, when Anirudh returned to the study, he noticed a card on the floor below his desk. He lowered himself to his knees and picked up the card, reading it carefully.

He was met with a shock.

Bondita Das

Why was Vaijayanti's picture on Bondita's ID card?

No way.

"V - V - Vaijayanti i - is B - Bondita?" he stammered.
