Vineet Raichand : A Businessman. He differentiates very well between his personal and professional lives. He loves his wife dearly and takes the equal responsibility of her younger sister. He also shares a special bond with his wife's sister, and whenever she scolds her sister, he's there to protect her claiming her to be a kid.

Ruhana Gupta Raichand : She is Vineet's wife. She helps Vineet in business matters and it had helped him a lot. He has asked her to join office but she denied that she will help him staying at home and would visit office occasionally. She has a younger sister, Anamika. They are one family and she takes care that Anamika is happy in her house. Her younger one means the world to her.

Anamika Gupta : A bubbly, fun loving girl. She has seen her sister struggling and now she wants to do something for her sister. Post her sister's marriage to Vineet, she lives with them and is loved dearly by Vineet's family. She's a college going girl and loves her Di and Jeeju dearly.

~Prologue~

A lady in her early thirties is sitting on the bed. She seems to be upset about something. Her eyes are teary. A guy enters the room and sits beside her.

"Coffee toh pi sakti ho na?" he asks softly.

She doesn't reply. He cups her face.

"Kab tak aise shant rahogi?" he asks.

"Toh kya karun main Vineet? Jis ladki ke liye itna kuch kiya, jiski har zidd puri ki, usne jo chaha, wo usey laake diya, usne aaj ye din dikhaya hai mujhe." she says breaking into tears.

He hugs her and rubs her back.

"Narazgi se toh wo nahi samjhegi na Ruhana. Pyar se samjhana hoga usey." Vineet replies back.

She looks at him…

"Log mujhe kuch kehte toh main sambhal leti, lekin yahan baat tumhari hai.

Main nahi chahti ki meri ya meri behen ki wajah se tumhe koi takleef ho." She replies.

He wipes her tears.

"Relax. Kuch nahi hoga. Logon ke baare mein mat socho Ruhana. Wo toh bolenge hi. Tumhe apni behen par dhyan dena chahiye. Waise bhi tumhari tarah Anamika bhi toh is ghar ka hissa hai na. " He explains.

"Lekin wo meri zimmedari hai, Vineet. Main nahi jaanti thi ki uske wajah se ye sab ho jayega. Usne meri di hui aazadi ka galat istemal kiya. Vineet, mera naam tumse juda hai, uske sab doston ko pata hai ki tum kaun ho. Tumhe kya lagta hai, usne ye naadaani mein kiya hai. I'm sure, she must have misused your name. Usey pata hai main dantungi. Lekin hamesha ki tarah tum usey bacha loge. Usne chori ki? Kaunsi kami thi usey! Mujhse mang leti. Par nahi, usey apni mannmaani karni thi. " she says tearily and her eyes fell on a childhood picture of hers and Anamika, and trailed down the memory lane.
