Few days later it was late night when Manik's phone rang...he got up making sure he doesn't break Nandini's sleep

Seeing the caller ID first Manik got hell scared..he picked it up and what he heard was most shocking and surprising.

Next day

Nandini woke up as her alarm rang...she looked beside her to get a glimpse of Manik but he wasn't there.

She checked the whole room getting up but didn't find him...she frowned and got ready and came down...there she met Manik who was leaving in hurry...

"Man..." She couldn't even complete as he already left from there...

"Itni jaldi chale gaye. Huh chal Nandini aaj se tu busy." Saying this she went to the kitchen and packing her tiffin she moved out with tea in her hand.

"Good morning bhabhi." Kartik wished her she smiled and wished him back.

"Acha bhabhi...main aaj thoda late aaunga so don't take tension." Nandini bobbed her head abd bid bye to him. She hurriedly drank the tea and moved out and was about to sit in her car but Abhimanyu ran to her startling her.

"Oh...kya hua Abhi? Daud ke kyun aaye?"

"Bhabhi please drop me to the office...bhai mere bina hi chale gaye. "Nandini chuckled and nodded her head...he sat inside and they both left.

The ride was little silent untill Abhimanyu spoke.

"Vaise bhabhi aapko kisi sports mein interest hai kya?" Nandini thought for a while and shook her head in denial.

"Aapko pata hai I just love to play football...bhai, Kartik, main aur Dhruv..." He stopped as soon as he said Dhruv... Nandini looked at him in sad eyes but he immediately said

"We used to play so much...and abhi sab busy ho gaye hai...acha aapko sports mein interest nahi hai lekin kisi aur mein toh hoga.. so tell me." Abhimanyu changed the topic only and Nandini he misses him alot.

"Well... I like to dance,then I like to cook...aur sports mein jyada interst nahi hai but I am good in badminton..aur phir horror movies dekhna I just love it. "Nandini said all excitedly...making Abhimanyu to shift little on his seat...

"Aapko horro movies movies achi lagti hai?" He asked looking here and there to which Nandini just bobbed her head suppressing her laugh.

They talked for a while and Nandini dropped him in his office and she left to her school since it is just 10 minutes away from there.

Here while going to Cafe' Naira spotted Kartik... seeing him she frowned and moved towards him...he was busy in his gang talking about something.

She patted his shoulder...but he didn't give any attention but his friends were lost in her making her uncomfortable.

"Kya ladki hai yrr.." the guy who was sitting in front of Kartik said making Kartik frown and Naira glare at him.

Kartik turned and seeing her his eyes widened.

"Tum! Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?" Kartik asked getting up from his chair...

"Kartik do you know her? Naam kya hai uska?" The guy beside him whispered making him glare at him.. Kartik looked at Naira

"Mujhe koi shauk nahi hai... tumhe yahan dekha... important baat karni hai.." Naira said gesturing him to follow her... Kartik sighed and said he will come to his friends.

Kartik went towards her who was standing in the corner...

"Kya hai?"

"Tum college chod ke yahan kyun aaye ho?" Naira asked him making him ask her

"Tum yeh puchane aayi ho? Then I'm sorry I can't tell you" he said moving again towards his friends and making her irritate...she held his shirt collar and pulled him towards her making him stumble...

"Idiot...pagal ho kya? Main gir jata toh?" He said standing properly she gave him tight lipped smile and replied

"Jya kuch nahi hota...tumhari naak phoot jati...forget it...kaan lao yahan" she said making his eyes widened.

"Hey...kya bol rahi ho" Kartik said doing over acting making her irritate...

"Ho gaya...ab suno.." she pulled his hand sending shivers to him he got lost in her...but he heard what she said...when she said his eyes widened and shouted

"What the hell! Pehle kyun nahi bataya...idiot...bye" saying this he ran to his friends...

"Pagal hai kya yeh...huh chal Naira let's go"

When Kartik came to take his bag one of his friend said

"Yarr...she is damn hot...uska naam kya hai? Tu kabse janat hai use? Yrr meri setting kar de." Listening him Kartik unknowingly felt jealous...he glared at him and said

"Tere type ki nahi hai...aur upar se bhabhi ki behen...ja apni jaisi joker dhund...abhi mein ja raha hun" saying this left from there where as other friends laughed at that guy who made a face.

It was a break time now and Nandini was having her tiffin...shs thought of calling Manik as she need to tell him about something.

She picked her phone and called him...first he didn't pick it up...but next call he did but he didn't let her speak.

"Nandini baad mein baat karta hun...abhi emergency hai. Bye" he cut the call making her frown..

"Huh cut kar diya. Huh baat bhi theek se nahi ki." She sighed and continued eating also talking with her colleagues.

Evening

Nandini was working on school sheets and also waiting for Kartik...it was already 7 in the evening and no had returned...

"Itna late kyun ho raha hai inko?" When she said this Kartik came inside running but seeing her he immediately hid something in his bag.

"Hi bhabhi..kya kar rahe ho?" Kartik asked sitting beside her.

"Kaam...aur tum itne kaise huye?" Nandini asked getting up...he immediately said

"Voh project chal raha hai..isliye...main room mein ja raha hun" he didn't even wait for Nandini... Nandini frowned looming at him and looked at the water in her hand.

"Huh..busy hoga." She kept the glass on the table and got busy in her work...around 7: 30 she winded up her work and got up to make something healthy.

She was busy in her work when Abhimanyu came inside the house without making noise...he saw her working and immediately left to his room.

He sighed luckily he didn't get caught. As he entered he saw kartika already waiting for him.

"Tu leke aaya na? Bhabhi ne dekha kya?" He asked moving towards him.

"Dekh leti par chupa liya maine...aap sure ho na iske baare mein bhai? Baad mein regret nahi karoge na?" He asked Abhimanyu made a face and said

"Nahi karunga...ab ja main dekh lunga jo karna hai." Kartikeya left from there to his room...as he went Abhimanyu sighed and took out something from his bag and kept it inside his cupboard.

It was 9: 30 now and according to Nandini Abhimanyu and Manik have still not reached. She saw Kartik coming down

"Kartik"  he got startled listening and was going to fall down...but balanced himself.

"Theek ho?" Nandini asked worriedly...he bobbed his head and Nandini said

"Chalo khana kha lo... it's getting late..pata nahi tumhare dono bhaiya kab aayenge." Nandini murmured Kartik looked up to Abhimanyu's room and sighed.

Nandini served him and Kartik sat on the dinning table...he asked her to have food with him but she denied saying she'll have with Manik and Abhimanyu.

After few minutes Nandini's phone rang...and seeing it to be Manik she lifted it and bombarded with questions.

"Manik where are you? Time dekha hai? It's too late. Aap kab tak aaoge?" Nandini asked him making him startled.

"Calm down my wife...abhi suni I will be late...office kuch emergency hai aur haan tum apna khana kha lo."

"Thik hai lekin Abhimanyu kaha hai?"

"He is with me...he and I will be coming home very late you go have food and sleep... I don't want you to be awake and if I see yoh awake you will not be spared." Nandini agreed to him and sat beside Kartik and started having food... Kartik grind happily and they both finished having the food.

After that Nandini wished Kartik and left to her room and directly laid down on the bed as she was hell tired...soon sleep took over her.

Kartik who was outside saw her all slept...he messages Manik and Abhimanyu saying she slept.

Abhimanyu came down running...

"Yrr...sachi pehli baar chupke aisa ho raha hai." Abhimanyu said huffing little.

"I know agar unko pata chal gaya na...then...gone...bhaiya hume nahi chodenge." Kartik said imagining their situation.

Around 11:30 PM Manik came inside the Mansion along with Nandini's sisters and her father.

It was all darkness all around... Manik cursed himself for keeping the switch board near the kitchen.

"Aap sab rukiye...main lights chalu karke aata hun." Manik was about to go...but then Naira said

"Jiju phone hai toh lights kyun?" Manik gave her smart look and opened the torch of his phone so did others.

"Yeh Abhi aur Kartik kaha hai?" Manik murmured to himself and messaged them...

"Bhai peeche hi hai...." Manik listened kartika voice...all turned and seeing the torch lighg on his face they all got scared and shouted... Not loudly though...

"Idiot bandar...aise kaun darata hai?" She said keeping her hands on her chest...he smiled sheepishly and said

"Tum darti bhi ho..."they were going fight bht Mukti pinched her hand and Manik glared at Kartik.

"Jo bola tha woh kiya tum dono ne?" Manik asked them to which they bobbed their head... Manik sighed and looked at the watch.

"5 minutes left... Main abhi aaya." Saying this he went out and others were waiting for him...soon he came with a box in his hands...

They all left upstairs to Manik's room without making noise. Kartik was the first one to enter...he moved closer to Nandini and bursted a balloon making her get up abruptly...

"Ahhh" she shouted sitting on the bed making others giggle... Abhimanyu put on the lights...she opened her eyes and seeing everyone there she got tears...she saw her father standing with a cake in his hand...her sisters beside him and the other side her lavely husband and devars...

They all started singing happy birthday song...her father put the cake infront of her...she looked at everyone but he gaze fell on her husband who was smiling seeing her with tears and smile.

He guestuered her to cut the cake...she did and sat comfortably waited for them to finish the song. As soon as she did Nandini got down from the bed and hugged her father.

"Happy birthday Nandu" he wished her pecking her forehead. Her sisters took her in a hug and squeezed her making her chuckle.

"Happy birthday di"

They broke the hug and she looked at Abhimanyu, Kartik and Manik...they also wished her.

"Yeh sab achanak? Mujhe kisine bataya kyun nahi?" Nandini asked giving everyone one one piece.

"Bata dete toh surprise surprise nahi rehta na..." Kartik said making her bob her head.

They spent sometime with each other and then Manik told Murthys to take rest in the guest rooms...bidding bye to them Manik came to Nandini who was admiring her husband. He sat beside her and raised his one eyebrow asking what happened.

"Nothing. Vaise aapko birthday ke baare mein kaise pata chala maine toh nahi bataya" Nandini asked keeping her chin on his side shoulder.. Manik smiled and said.

"Tum toh batane se rahi..parso raat ko call aya tha Naira ka."

Flashback...

"Hello...kya hua papa aap theek ho na?" Manik asked worriedly...but listening the voice he frowned

"Papa nahi jiju main Naira bol rahi hun." Manik asked what happened

"Jiju parso di ka birthday hai...aur mujhe pata hai she won't tell you anything...so I am informing now itself...aur haan she hates parties...main aur Alu di and Mukti di kuch plan kar rahe the..." Then they told their plan and Manik immediately agreed....

He looked at Nandini and said "will make ur day memorable"  pecking her head he slept beside her

End of flashback...

Nandini chuckled and pecking his cheek making him startled she said

"Thank you for this beautiful surprise" Manik smiled and pecked her head...

"Chalo let's go to sleep...you have to go to work also." They both slept hugging each other... Manik had already changed into casuals.
