Avoid mistakes if any

Dhruv was all drunk and was breaking things that came infront of his eyes... Nandini was hurt seeing him like this...she just rolled her eyes and turned her gaze.

This was seen by Manik and he knew she knew something... Kartik and Abhimanyu were angry on him now.

"Yey.... let's go higher and higher" Dhruv was blabbering what not...getting into the nerves of Manik.

"Dhruv!"  Manik shouted on top of his voice making all jump into their places..

Dhruv who was hell scared as if a lion came in front of... Manik moved down and stood infront of him with eyes blood shot.

"How dare you come drunk home again?" Manik asked with dead cold voice making Dhruv gulp the saliva which was forming into his mouth.

"Bh..bha..bha..bhai... I.." Dhruv stuttered...making Manik hell angry Abhimanyu and Kartik didn't interfere as they knew no one can save him now.

"Stop stuttering dammit" Manik again shouted making all close their ears.

Manik took a deep breathes and said "out! Out of the house now." This was shocking to everyone...as they thought Manik will scold him but he is telling him to ho away...

"Bhai... I am...am sorr...sorry" Dhruv said in a drunk state making Manik more irritate...

"Samajh mein nahi aata tumhe...out means out." But he didn't move... Manik got angry and holding his hand he started dragging him out Nandini along with Kartik and Abhimanyu ran behind him.

"Bhai...sorry...bhai..meri..." But he closed the door on his face... Kartik came to talk to him but one glare from him he knew he can't do anything.

"Pade rehne do use vahi... and I am telling you no one means no one will open the door." Saying this Manik left to his room. Kartik and Abhimanyu made a sorry face to Nandini as she is new here and she has to bear this.

Dhruv was banging the door but when he heard Manik he stopped as he knew his brother won't open the door.

Nandini glanced at the door and left from there to their room but Manik was not there...she searched him everywhere in their room but didn't find him. She moved out of the room and checked in the study but he wasn't there...

She went upstairs on the terrace to see him looking at nowhere with his hands on the railing. She went and stood beside him and saw him looking at Dhruv who was sitting on the bench talking to himself.

He was about to fall down from the bench but he sat properly and seeing this Manik got little scared... Nandini saw this and said

"Itni care karte hai toh vaha jate kyun nahi"

"Itna asaan nahi hai Nandini..." He said and looked at her

" I want him to learn a lesson...if he doesn't learn a lesson na then he might end up becoming one more Raj Malhotra." Manik said deeply looking into Nandini's eyes. Nandini felt the pain in his eyes. She rubbed his biceps.

"Hope he will not." Nandini said doubtfully. Manik stared at Dhruv who was going to sleep on the bench.

Manan stayed there for few minutes and Nandini actually dosed off... Manik saw her sleeping uncomfortably...he picked hef up and took her to their room and made her lay down on the bed. Putting the duvet on her he left from there.

Here outside Dhruv was sleeping uncomfortably... Manik came out with a quilt in his hand and wrapped it around Dhruv.

Though he is hurt but can't see his baby brother like this...sleeping in cold...he got up and went inside...as he came he saw Nandini standing on the doorstep with smile.

They both went inside to their room and sat with the support of their bed's headrest.

"You know Nandini Dhruv na humesha meri baat manta tha...par aaj use aise dekh kar bahut bura lag raha hai... aisa lag raha hai jaise main fail ho gaya hun apne bhai ko sambhalte sambhalte."; Manik said looking at the wall infront of him... Nandini entwined his hand with her's making him look at her.

"Manik...aap kaha fail huye ho? Aapne apni puri koshish ki usko samjhane ki par you know isme Dhruv ki galti hai...usne aapki baat nahi samjhi... it's not ur fault...samjhane ka kaam aapne kiya par samajhne ka kaam Dhruv ka tha...which he didn't do" Nandini said making him understand... Manik looked at her who assured him everything will be fine.

He lied down in her lap making jer little startled but now she was use to this.

Manik took their hands which were entwined and said caressing their fingers.

"Mere dad Raj Malhotra was really good person,we used to be happy family...me, Abhi, Dhruv we used to play alot...but one day changed everything. Kartik was small that time... One night dad came home all drunk and mom was really upset with it. She scolded him next day...but there was no use...he continued to drink. And one fine night..."

Flashback...

Raj came home all drunk again when Manik, Dhruv and Abhimanyu were studying...seeing him stumbling Manik and Abhimanyu came to know that he is drunk...they immediately left from there taking 6 year's old Dhruv from there.

"Kaha gaye yeh log! Huh"  he started breaking everything whatever came in front of his eyes... Neonika came running...

"What the hell Raj! Aap kar kya rahe ho? Pagal ho gaye ho kya?" Neonika shouted on top of her voice...

Seeing her Raj got angry and said " awaaj neeche karo...you have no right to shout at me"

"Raj...what is wrong with you? Haan? Why the hell are you drinking so much?" Neonika asked moving towards him he made a irritating face and turned around...

"Nahi batana...aur tumhe toh bilkul bhi nahi..." Saying this he took one more bottle of alcohol and seeing this Neonika snatched the bottle and threw it on the floor making it shatter.

Listening the sound trio who were with Kartik came out and saw them fighting.

"Teri toh..." Saying this he slapped her hardly making her fall down on the pieces of glass which pierced in her body.

"Yeh tumne meri dasvi (10th) bottle phodi hai...aaj tumhe batata hun" saying this he started beating her... Neonika was crying badly... Manik came down running...

"Papa leave mumma...aap kya kar rahe ho" Manik pushed Raj making him stumble... Raj got angry and seeing Manik helping Neonika he got angry and slapped Manik.

"Papa" Manik was numb seeing him like that... Neonika got up and shouted on top of her voice.

"Aap kya kar rahe ho?" Without any reason he again started hitting Neonika and seeing this Manik got really angry...and pushed him so hardly that he fell on the glass pieces.

Neonika hugged Manik... Raj got angry and took a glass piece and moved to hit it on Manik.

Neonika saw him and immediately turned Manik and that piece got into Neonika's body... Manik and Abhimanyu and Dhruv were hell numb.

End of flashback...

"It hurts when you see ur own parents fighting...you know after that mom couldn't save...and after few days even dad left us... I just... I..." Manik was crying bitterly Nandini's eyes too had tears...he hid in her stomach...

"I don't my Dhruv to be like him Nandini... I am scared that he might turn out be him...he..he.." Manik cried sharing his pain...

Nandini hugged him tightly soothing his pain.

"Shh... everything will be fine...aap ro kyun rahe ho..rone se kuch hoga kya?" Nandini said ruffling his hair... Manik like a child shook his head... Nandini found him really cute since his hair is messed up and also his nose has turned red.

"Don't worry we will get him back..." Nandini said cupping his face Manik looked at her and asked

"Sacchi?" To which Nandini bobbed her head.

Nandini bend down and kept her lips on his forehead... Manik closed his eyes feeling the assurance in it.

"Vaise you know you cry like a baby." Nandini's pinching his nose making hik scrunch his nose.

"No... I am not a baby..." Manik defended...

"Arey maine kab kaha aap baby ho...main toh bas yeh keh rahi hun ki aap bacchon ki tarah rote ho" Nandini said teasingly... Manik made a face and snuggled more into her tummy...making her go stiff..

"Manik..." Nandini moved a little...but Manik held her waist and whispered.

"Please stay like this" Nandini sat like that only ruffling his hair...she looked at the time to see it's 3:30 in the mid night...she sighed and leaned back.

She didn't even realise when she slept...and also Manik had drifted to sleep.

Here upstairs Kartik and Abhimanyu slept late but got up on time because of yesterday's issue.

In Manan's room Manik got up and saw he still lying on Nandini's lap...he looked at her and seeing her face tilted and her hair covering her face...he removed them aside to get the proper look.

He smiled seeing her sleeping with open mouth...he got up from her lap and tried making her sleep properly but in this process Nandini's sleep got disturbed.

"Manik" he looked at her immediately and said

" So sorry... I was making sure I won't disturb your sleep... but I disturbed it.."

Nandini chuckled and looking at the time she said

"It's okay...vaise bhi utne ka time ho gaya hai...main fresh hoke aati hun."  Nandini said getting up but Manik held her hand and said

"Sorry meri vajah se you didn't even get proper sleep"  Nandini sighed and asked

"Manik kya main parayi hun?" Manik immediately shook his head and said

"Ofcourse not...you are mine" Nandini blushed listening him but composing herself she said

"Then...stop saying sorry and thank you for everything...ab uth jaiye" saying this she left to the washroom to freshen up. Manik smiled and got up from the bed and moved towards the balcony and saw Dhruv doing

Outside the house Dhruv got up and saw the sun to be bright shining in the sky...he looked around and then remembered yesterday's fight.

He sighed knowing it be his fault...he got up and the quilt fell down...he took it and tried remembering...as far as he know he didn't have any quilt...he sighed and walked up to the door which was closed.

Manik saw this and remembered today's earliest morning thing...he sighed and went inside.

Soon all came down to have breakfast outside the house Dhruv was still standing not knowing how to face them.

He rang the bell and knowing who it is Manik looked at it and said

"Kartik get him inside" bobbing his head Kartik went to open the door.

Nandini was sitting beside Manik... Kartik opened the door and seeing him Dhruv was going to say something but he said

"Bhai bula rahe hai." Saying this Kartik went leaving him there... Dhruv looked down and entered inside.

He stood infront of them... Manik said without looking at him.

"Freshen up and meet us here" Dhruv looked at Manik with teary eyes...he moved his eyes towards Abhimanyu and Kartik who royali ignored him...he then looked at Nandini whose eyes were showing that she isn't happy...she is disappointed.

He looked down and went to freshen up...others completing their breakfast were going to get up when Manik saw Dhruv coming down. He said it loudly to make him hear.

" I have decided to send Dhruv into rehabilitation" listening him Abhimanyu and Kartik were shocked except for Nandini where as Dhruv was numb.

Coming out of the shock Dhruv moved towards Manik and started pleading.

"Bhai.. please don't send me away... I promise main drinking chod dunga... please mujhe aap sabse dur mat bhejo"

"I have decided and I am not changing it" listening his stern tone Dhruv knew he will not listen...he looked at Nandini but she also averted her gaze from him...

He looked down and bobbed his head agreeing to Manik.

" Have breakfast I'll come to drop you" saying this Manik got up and so did others. Dhruv stood there knowing it his fault.

Dhruv's issue was solved before hand only...but he got addicted to it and before it grows more Manik took the action... it's better to take action at primary stage before it gets worst.
