The two who left it all behind

Ten years had passed since the battle in Shibuya wreaked havoc, causing many casualties, widespread destruction, and emotional trauma. The curses, however, diminished significantly since Sukuna died, and thus the curse also perished.

Many children grew up without parents because they were drawn into the conflict. Even after a decade, the city still struggled with reconstruction, with some areas remaining unfinished due to the high costs involved. The Jujutsu Academy also suffered significant damage, both in infrastructure and personnel. YN had eliminated the top leaders back then, leaving the power structure in shambles.

Furthermore, on the same day, the two strongest fighters, Gojo Satoru and YN Akita, died in the battle which shattered the balance in the world.

All of the students became teachers, but Megumi briefly fell into depression due to Sukuna's actions within his body. However, he recovered with the help of others. Yuji became a teacher, seeking students with potential like he once had. Maki became the head of the Zenin Clan and married Yuta, who also became a teacher. Utahime, who fell into depression, resigned from her job. Mei Mei also left her position and started taking on assignments from third parties. Hakari and Kiara married, with Hakari choosing to become a teacher, while Kiara did not.

Yuji, now 25 years old, ascended the stairs to the cemetery at the Jujutsu Academy, holding flowers in his hands. He bowed before the graves of all those who had died, placing flowers at each one. Yuji and the others had become teachers at the Jujutsu Academy, carrying on the legacy of those who had passed away. Taking a deep breath, Yuji teleported himself to the center of Shibuya, still holding two flowers in his hand.

At the exact spot where Yn and Gojo had died, a monument had been erected, depicting them as they fell in battle. Their bodies encased in ice had been preserved beneath a special coating. Even in the statue, one could see how intensely Gojo gazed at Yn.

The fresh spring breeze tousled Yuji's hair as he gazed at the memorial with a warm smile.

He bowed before the grave, placing the flowers there, and said, "As long as I live, I will tell the story to everyone about the two fallen strongest who died in each other arms out of love ."

Straightening up in his suit, he then walked away.

Timeskip:

„And that concludes the story from 500 years ago" I said.

I closed the book and smiled at Amara, intentionally ruffling her hair. Amara sat on the floor, propping herself up with her hands, pouting, tears streaming down her cheeks.

She said sadly, "But it can't be true that they both didn't survive!"

Shinji leaned against the doorframe of the children's room, giving me a smile. "Mia, did you tell Amara the story of Yn and Gojo again? You know she always ends up in tears no matter how many times she hears it!"

I glanced at the book, its cover adorned with a group photo of all of them, I touched the cover where Yn and Gojo were arm in arm in the center, smiling alongside the students, then looked back at Shinji, offering him a sad smile.
"Amara wanted me to read it to her again."

Amara laid down on the floor, staring at the ceiling. She continued pouting, "It hurts my heart that they didn't make it."

Leaning forward from my chair, I looked at her with a smile and said, "They didn't make it, but we did!"

Shinji entered the room and kissed my forehead. His ocean-blue six eyes reflected my red cursed eyes. I returned the kiss, and we both looked down at Amara, laughing. One of her eyes was red, while the other was blue.
