"Hey Mirajane."

Happy flies up to where Mira sits at a table looking through some papers. She looks up and smiles as soon as she realizes our presence.

"Good morning you two! Why are you guys up so early?"

"Natsu forced me out of bed before the sun even came up! I think he's lost his mind."

Happy shrugs as he says it and Mirajane chuckles.

I walk over to the request board, their conversation fading out of my focus as I stare at all of the options spread out before me.

Catching a thief, serving as a body guard, pest control...

I quickly graze across them all, but my eyes settle on one in particular. Everything else fades away except for the location.

"...Deep within the mountains of..."

My hand encloses on the paper and I make my way towards Happy and Mira who are both talking about the melting snow.

"-oon the flowers will start to bloom."

Happy's face lights up.

"Lucy's going to love that!"

He catches sight of me walking towards them from the corner of his eye and turns towards me.

"When is Lucy going to get here?"

"I don't know."

"Are we going to her house then or something?"

I hand Mira the paper and she looks it over before stamping it with "approved".

"It's just us Happy."

His face falls a little bit.

"Oh."

I turn away and start towards the door, trying to ignore his disappointment.

"We shouldn't wake her up so early, Happy. You know she wouldn't like that."

Happy just responds with a small nod and I push open the door and gesture outside.

"Now c'mon. We need to go find a ride up the mountain."

Happy follows behind me, waving a goodbye to Mira and letting the doors shut behind us.

"We're going up the mountains?"

"Yup."

"But it's cold up there."

"Yup."

"Why'd you have to pick that one?"

I groan a little in frustration and I run my fingers through my hair.

"Somebody's gotta do it."

"But why does it have to be us?"

I drop my hands to my side and sigh.

"I'm a fire wizard, Happy. We won't get cold...now can you drop it? I just picked one at random. All that matters is the reward."

Happy doesn't say anything and I grumble internally in annoyance. I sigh and glance over to Happy's quiet form. I reluctantly smile.

"After we finish the job, let's go to a buffet."

He perks up slightly and glances at me from the corner of his eyes.

"Really?"

I chuckle a little bit.

"Yes, Happy, really."

He smiles and flies up a little bit.

"Aye sir!"
