Andrea and Amelia were with me in my room helping me pack for going to cousins it was a thing we'd do every year before I left, they'd come over and help me pack while we talked about how much we'd miss each other.

"I'm gonna miss you so much" Andrea spoke. Me and Andrea have known each other since we were about 3, we met at the park and straight away we got along, and surprisingly so did our mom's and ever since then we've been best friends.

"Your gonna see me in a couple of weeks, remember yous are coming up for Belly's birthday" I turned around smiling at my two best friends "yea but I'm gonna be stuck with her on my own" Andrea spoke up looking towards Amelia, "don't act as if your a picnic in the park" Amelia spoke up finally taking her eyes off her phone, I just laughed watching the two bicker.

"Star we're leaving in 10 minutes" I heard my mom shout up, I let out a groan as I got up from the bed "we still have 10 minutes" I heard Amelia say as she dragged me back down onto the bed, I just let out a laugh as I feel Andrea poke my nose, "ok so before we let you leave us you have to tell us what your summer wish is, like the one thing you want to happen this summer" Andrea spoke smiling at me.

"I don't know" I spoke letting out a sigh, "you little liar yes you do" Amelia laughed "you want Jeremiah Fisher to rail you, you dirty little slut" Amelia continued while still laughing once she said that we all started laughing "come on you know she's right" Andrea said while still laughing "A no she's not right and B he doesn't see me that way" I spoke while Amelia and Andrea looked at each other "oh he'll see you whether he wants to or not" Andrea let out.

"Yea star you look a lot different since last summer" Amelia spoke motioning towards my boobs and curves, "ok let's stop talking about that and help me finish packing" I smiled.

Once we where done packing I got into the car after saying goodbye to my two best friends.

"CAUSE LOOK AT YOUR FACE....AND I'M SO FURIOUS AT YOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL THIS WAY" I continued " uh why don't we turn it down a little" my mom spoke having enough of my singing as my brother turned down the radio "yes gladly" my brother spoke up "rude, my singings amazing" I glared at my brother "that's what we let you believe" he laughed I just rolled my eyes and went on my phone.

"Guys I want yous to be better houseguests this summer and remember to be on your best behaviour" my mom began speaking "mom Susannah has people who clean for her" my brother spoke up "Ben" my mother glared at him while slapping the back of his head while I laughed "ok ok I'm sorry" Ben said while glaring at me.

My mom was always weird about money, it's not that we don't have a lot because we do but she just doesn't like to flaunt it like others do "just please act like I raised you right. Ben that means don't stay out to late" my mother continued "mom I'm to old for a curfew" my brother whined, I rolled my eyes while turning to face my mom "wait what about me? I don't have a curfew either right?" I questioned while looking at my mom.

My brother began to laugh "what do you need a curfew for your like eight" he continued laughing "don't be a dickhead Ben" my mother spoke defending me. "Star we'll talk about it later ok?" I just nodded to what my mom said.

Soon we stopped at a small shop, straight away I ran in and went right towards the slushy machine (dk what it's called in America) and grabbed some chips then went to go pay, I felt awkward tho since the cashier wouldn't stop staring at me. "Hey" he spoke although I just stayed quiet "are you new this summer?" He asked I just gave him a confused look while answering back "uh no I've been coming here for years" I gave him a weird look "really? Hmm. Thought I knew every pretty girl in Cousins" he spoke while looking at me, I just awkwardly chuckled. "Coming to the bonfire tonight?" He asked. Goddd why does this guy ask so many questions.

I thought about it for a second before answering "uhh, maybe." "Come I'll introduce you to some of my friends" he answered, wow this guy is creepy does he realise what age I am? What a pervert "I'll have to think about it" I spoke trying to be nice, as soon as I was done paying I practically ran out the shop.

As we pulled up I saw the Conklin's car already here "what's up" I heard Jeremiah say while he was running outside with everyone shortly following behind. As everyone was greeting each other I got out the car waiting for Jeremiah to finish speaking to my brother.

A couple of second later Jeremiah looked over at me "hey" I started laughing, Jeremiah continued to stare until he finally spoke "look who came back all grown up" he walked over and hugged me while picking me up, but then my stupid brother had to ruin it by interrupting us and telling Jeremiah to come over to where Steven and him were.

"OH MY GOD STAR" I heard Belly scream while running up to me and hugging me "BELLY" I screamed back "I missed you so much" we both spoke then started laughing, once me and belly stopped hugging I looked over and saw Conrad. "Hey" I smiled while walking up to him and hugging him.

"I liked you better with your glasses and braces" he smiled down at me "well too bad I like me better without them" I laughed me and Conrad then began to play fight before my brother, Steven and Jeremiah interrupted us "hey hey guys I-I don't know about you but I..." Steven began to speak "well I-I think it's time for a....." my brother continued "bellyflop" they all shouted at the same time while I laughed looking at Belly.

She tried running away but they eventually caught her and took her to the backyard throwing her in the pool I followed them while laughing. Jeremiah then turned to me "don't think your getting away" Jeremiah spoke making me confused until he picked me up "no no no jere don't or I swear I'll kill you" I screamed at him which I got a laugh in return.

All of a sudden I was thrown into the pool, I quickly swam to the surface and looked at Belly we both nodded at each other then I turned to Jeremiah and looked at him "oh my god ow ow I think I hurt my ankle" I spoke while Belly did the same "can you help me out please" I looked at Jeremiah in the eyes he grabbed my hand to help me out and as soon as he did I grabbed him into the pool making him fall in as well while Belly did the same thing to Conrad.

Me and Belly began laughing before I felt a hand grab my leg dragging me down under the water, I knew straight away that it was Jeremiah, once we where both back up at the surface we began to splash each other while getting closer and closer to each other until we stopped and were just starting into each other's eyes.

"Ew are they about to hook up in the pool" I heard Steven scream, to which I turned around and glared at him while everyone else but Ben started laughing "ew dude thats my sister" he looked at us disgusted while Jeremiah and me laughed at him.

Once we got out the pool I made my way inside "hi" I laughed speaking to Susannah "your dripping water all over the place" my mother sighed "Lyd" Susannah whispered "she is gorgeous" she continued to whisper "I know" my mother whispered back.

"You have always been lovely but, oh honey look at you" Susannah smiled, while I laughed "I think I look pretty much the same" I smiled back at her "you do not look the same at all, your growing up" Susannah hugged me "your in bloom" Susannah said while cupping my cheek "lyd, she's you all over" "people always say I look like my dad" I told Susannah "nope when your mom and I first met she looked just like you" "except I had much smaller boobs than you" my mom spoke while Susannah laughed "ew mom don't ever say that again please"

I then took my bags and went up to my room once I got in I smiled it looked just like it looked last time. I was finally home again after a few seconds my thoughts got interrupted by Jeremiah "hey wanna go for a swim?" He asked while jumping on my bed "I cant I have to unpack" I looked at him and smiled "please please please" he begged turning his hands into a praying gesture while also giving me his puppy dog eyes.

"Ughhhh fine" I groaned while laughing at him "ok meet me downstairs in five" he yelled after jumping off my bed and running out the room.

I just laughed at him while walking into Belly's room "hey you wanna go for a swim with me and jere?" I asked "I cant I have to unpack and go with my mum to whale of a tale" she looked over at me while smiling "but have fun without me" she winked, I just laughed at her and walked out the room going to get changed into my bikini.

After I was done getting ready I ran out to meet Jeremiah "finally" I heard him laugh "oh don't be so dramatic I didn't take that long" I rolled my eyes "mhmm whatever you say star"

We started walking in silence but not an awkward silence, a comfortable silence "so when did you start wearing stuff like this" Jeremiah spoke up referring to my bikini "uhmmmmm not to long after last summer" I answered back "cool" he smiled at me, we continued talking about random stuff till we got to the beach.

"I've waited all year for this" I laughed, Jeremiah looked over at me and spoke up "you wanna race" he asked "no no I cant you.." "oh come on" jere interrupted me "no your legs are to long now I can't do that" I spoke then I started running down the beach with Jeremiah chasing me "cheater" he yelled from behind me while we where both laughing.

Once we got into the ocean we started splashing each other and laughing, I was having an amazing time.

Once we got back we all sat down to have dinner together "Steven I swear to god if you look at that phone one more time I'm putting it in the screen basket" Laurel spoke while I laughed "it's just we wanna see your beautiful faces" Susannah smiled "can dinner be a screen-free zone? You know like the olden days" She questioned.

"Steven" Jeremiah said then grabbed Steven's phone and threw it to a chair "dude are you kidding me?" Steven looked at Jeremiah annoyed "boom! Nailed it" Jeremiah shouted "ok ok ok we get it you've been working out" Steven spoke annoyed "oh your just jealous because jere has a better body than you" Belly spoke trying to wind her brother up "uh no actually it's all about the lean look now otherwise you can't wear tailored suits" Steven defended himself whilst everyone else burst out laughing "tailored suits" Conrad spoke while laughing a bit.

After that they all started talking about Conrad quitting football so I zoned out I didn't wanna ask him questions and pressure him into telling me why he quit he'd tell me when he's ready to tell me.

I eventually zoned back in when I heard Steven and jere talking about them working at the club "wait yous two are working at the club?" I questioned them "yeah me and Ben are lifeguarding and stevens working at the snack shop" Jere replied while fist bumping Steven and Ben, oh what I'd do to see him lifeguarding- oops got a little off topic there anyways, Susannah interrupted my thoughts "oh Belly, Star I have a surprise for yous" Susannah handed us both envelopes "so this is why we had to stop by the country club" Laurel spoke up making my mom laugh a bit.

"What, uh wh-wh-what is that?" Steven asked while stuttering "I wrangled belly and star invitations to be debutantes" Susannah smiled "is that the thing where the girls wear white dresses and curtsey" Belly asked "it's when a girl comes of age and is presented to society, I-I know it sounds silly but I swear it's fun. Girls come from all over New England to Cousins just to be a part of it. You'll make so many new friends." Susannah explained to us what it was " I cannot believe you are still holding on to this archaic dream" Laurel spoke while my mother laughed "no it used to be about finding a husband" Susannah spoke making Star's eyes widen "but now it's about networking. They teach you leadership skills, like how to market yourself and it benefits charity. It's um like a bat mitzvah"

"It's not like a bat mitzvah" my mom laughed while Laurel walked back in "there is nothing religious about a debutante ball" my mother continued "I'd think you'd have a bit more appreciation for it considering the debutant ball is how we met" Susannah rolled her eyes "the whole deb scene is bullshit. It's for sheep" Connie spoke up "yeah" Jeremiah agreed "no it's not" Susannah defended "it's when a girl has a coming out, it's a formal recognition she's reached maturity" Susannah continued.

Steven began laughing "oh sorry I'm sorry mature?" Steven asked "yes" Susannah answered "Belly?" "Mhmm" Susannah hummed "A-a couple months ago you had a cat funeral you made us all wear black" Steven continued making fun of belly "shut up Steven I saw you crying in your room" Belly defended while I started laughing "wait mochi died? Dang I'm sorry bells" Jeremiah spoke "yea you think that's bad" my brother spoke then turned to me "Star broke up with one of her boyfriends cause their star signs weren't compatible" Ben spoke while everyone started laughing "hey our signs weren't compatible meaning we where gonna break up one way or another I just made it quicker for the both of us" I rolled my eyes defending myself.

"Girls, don't you wanna get all dressed up" Susannah smiled "it's just not Belly's kinda thing, she's our feral little alley cat" Laurel said while the boys bursted out laughing. Belly and Star both turned to look at each other and nodded agreeing "we'll think about it" they both spoke at the same time "they'll think about it" Susannah smiled.

After dinner I decided to go get ready to go for a midnight swim, while I was getting ready I heard Steven Ben and Jeremiah all singing in the bathroom "look I know yous think yous are professionals or whatever but gonna shut the fuck up" I shouted to them "you know you love us" Jeremiah shouted back while laughing.

Once I was changed I walked out to the pool to see Conrad and Belly talking, I watched them with a smirk on my face making a plan in my head until jere Steven and ben came out and ruined it "first bonfire this summer" they yelled "alright we're totally taking my car" Jeremiah spoke "come on man we're leaving, you ready?" Steven asked Conrad.

While they where talking and Belly was asking if she could come I felt hands on my waist and a hot breathe on my neck then I heard Jeremiah whisper in my ear "you wanna come with us" Ben then looked over at us hearing what Jere said and spoke "no she's not coming with us" I rolled my eyes at him while they continued to tell Belly that the moms where setting up our movie, then they started to leave "have fun with the moms" Steven yelled while laughing "bye" Jere spoke then gave me a kiss on the cheek and ran up to Steven and Ben.

After me and Belly headed inside we told the moms we where tired and went up to Belly's room "I wish they let us go with them" Belly sighed "yea me to" I turned around looking over at belly "easy for you to say you actually got invited" she smiled at me "don't think I didn't see what was going on between yous two" Belly winked at me "what do you mean, nothings going on between us" I asked.

"And if you wanna go that badly we can always sneak out" I smiled at Belly "what if we got caught" Belly asked "we won't I've snuck out hundred of times before....don't tell my mom that tho....or Ben" I spoke making her laugh.

After we spoke for a couple more minutes she FaceTimed Taylor and told her what happened while also explaining my idea to sneak out "well I agree with star you should definitely sneak out the worst thing that can possibly happen is that you get caught" Taylor tried to persuade Belly into saying yes, Belly thought about it for a second before finally agreeing "but what do I wear I have nothing that would be good enough" belly groaned in annoyance "you can always borrow something of mine" I offered

"Or you can look in your duffel bag" Taylor spoke while belly got up to look "I gifted you my secret weapon, not to keep obvs just to borrow" Taylor smiled through the camera. Belly takes the dress out while walking to the mirror "no way in hell" she starts "Belly nothing is ever gonna happen for you if you stay locked up in your room in baggy tee shirts eating ice cream and crying with star waiting for the boys to come home" Taylor said through the phone "yea but I mean won't you be able to see my underwear underneath it?" Belly asked Taylor "so wear a thong" I laughed at belly while Taylor agreed with me "ew no way thongs are unhygienic. Wearing a thong is like basically flossing your butthole" belly explain to me and Taylor "ew" me and Taylor both laughed.

"Belly thongs are mainstream" Taylor laughed at her bestfriend "shut up I'll go" belly spoke before her and Taylor hung up "ok you change into that while I go change I said to Belly while quickly going into my room to pick out an outfit. I ended up picking a pair of ripped jeans with a low sparkly pink top that showed some cleavage.

"Wow you look hot" I heard Belly speak I looked at her through the mirror "me? Look at you" I smiled at her "Jeremiah's gonna be eyeing you up like a piece of meat" she smirked at me while I gave her a shut up rn look.

We silently crept downstairs into the hall and saw our moms curled up on the couch together watching a movie, me and Belly looked at each other while smiling.

After we eventually got to the beach Belly looked at me "I'm gonna kill you and Taylor" she spoke while I laughed at her, then I heard a familiar voice shout "yo gas station girl" so me and Belly both turned around and the boys eyes widened "and other gas station girl...." He awkwardly spoke while I looked at him disgusted.

"Hey, where yous coming from?" He asked us both "Belly quickly looked at me before making up a lie "uhhh another party" she awkwardly chuckled "sweet yeah hey. Here, take my beer" he offered Belly after she declined he offered it to me "uhm no thanks" I spoke up, no way in hell was I taking anything from this guy.

I zoned out while the pervert guy was asking belly if she had a boyfriend but then I zoned back in when I heard belly shout "Steven, Ben!" They both looked over while I mentally cursed belly "what-what are yous doing here?" Steven questioned us "and what the fuck are yous wearing?" Ben asked "I invited them, who the fuck are you?" The pervert asked "We're their brothers. They're 15 you pedo" Steven spoke "I'm 16 actually" I corrected him then Ben and Steven turned to glare at me "doesn't make it any better" Ben spoke whilst the pervert ran away, finally.

All of a sudden I was being dragged away by Ben and Belly was being dragged away by Steven "what are you doing, let me go" I glared at Ben trying to get away from his grip "what am I doing?" Ben asked "more like what are you doing especially wearing that your whole top half is practically on reveal for everyone to see" Ben said angrily "stop being so dramatic" I argued back with him then I saw belly fall to the floor "Steven what the fuck" I shouted at him whilst helping belly up.

"Belly?" I heard Conrad say "Star?" I heard him question again "oh here we fucking go" I whispered but loud enough for them all to hear "then Conrad and belly started arguing while I started to get annoyed "oh my god will yous both just shut the fuck up also no one gives a fuck who you are" I shouted at them both then looked at Nicole.

"Belly! Star! Yous came, great" I heard Jeremiah yell as he ran over "actually we where about to take them home" Ben spoke "no you weren't" I piped up, Jeremiah laughed at my comment while Ben rolled his eyes "ok guys chill out go for whatever yous where doing before or something" Ben and Steven both looked at the girls they were with before telling them to go "fine but both of yous stay right here and don't talk to anyone" Ben spoke "why don't you suck my dick instead?" I sarcastically smiled at him then they both walked away but before they were to far away from us Belly shouted at them "fuck yous" while I laughed at her.

Jeremiah eventually left to go over to girls who where calling him over and Belly started talking to this guy on the sand so I went to get a drink "hey, your names star right?" I heard a boy ask I looked at him weirdly before asking "and who the fuck is asking?" I questioned "uhm L-Leo I was on Jeremiah and Conrad's summer volleyball team a couple of years ago "oh yea hey sorry didn't realise that was you" I smiled at the brown eyed boy "you uhm you wanna go sit down on the sand somewhere?" He questioned "yea sure" I smiled at him, and before I knew it we where making out on the sand"

Then our make-out session got cut short as we heard people fighting, I looked over to see Conrad fighting with that pervert guy and then Belly tried to split it up and got hit, thankfully Jeremiah ran over and tried to break up the fight, I ran over to Belly with Leo chasing after me "hey, hey you ok?" I questioned "yea I'm um I'm fine" then we heard the cops.

I quickly ran to Jeremiah's car holding Leo's hand, after Jeremiah finished putting Conrad in the car he told me to get in and interrupted mine and Leo's conversation but I decided to ignore him and kept talking to Leo "so uhm can I-I get your number?" Leo asked and I smiled at him "uh yea sure" I spoke "star get in the car" I heard Jere speak "ok give me a minute" I spoke as I finished putting my number in "you should uh probably go" he smiled "yea-yea I should uhm bye" I smiled back at him then kissing him goodbye, at the corner of my eye I saw Jeremiah's jaw clench.

Once I got in the car I saw Belly come up to the car with the guy she was with "Belly let's go, get in" Jeremiah spoke "Cam can give me a ride home. Right Cam?" Belly spoke while I smirked at her "yes that's not problem" Cam agreed "no, your not gonna get in a car with a guy you just met" Jeremiah began to disagree "I'm Cam Cameron" he reached his hand in the window "your names Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah questioned while trying not to laugh "no it's ju-just Cam" Cam Cameron awkwardly spoke back "but we actually know each other seventh grade Latin convention so we're like not total strangers" Cam Cameron continued.

"Okay. No offence but no. Belly get in the car" Jeremiah chuckled "just get in the car" Conrad spoke sounding bored "uh you should probably go" Cam Cameron then spoke then I zoned out until I saw belly kiss Cam Cameron.

I smirked and cheered Belly on while Jeremiah laughed at me and Conrad glared at me then Belly got in the car and Jere started to drive off "fuck Steven and Ben" Jeremiah stopped and looked at me and Belly "watch Conrad I'll be right back" he said before getting out the car.

Then it got weird cause Conrad started touching Belly's hair and stuff.

Then we heard a knock on the window.

"Have you kids been drinking?" An officer asked

Shit, do you think she'll believe me if I say no?

"Officers thank you it won't happen again I can promise you that much" Laurel spoke to the cops. Then the officer spoke up "tell Mr. Fisher the chief wants to set up a tea time when he gets back in town" "absolutely, sorry again for all the trouble" Laurel replied "have a good night officers" Laurel continued.

"How could you guys be so irresponsible?" Laurel asked "mom it wasn't a big deal. All right? Seriously" Steven began to defend "the cops were just looking to break up the bonfire" he continued "not a big deal?" Laurel questioned "yes" Steven answered "I would say getting picked up by the cops for underage drinking is a big deal, Steven" Laurel said disappointed Steven began sniffing then laughing "were-were you guys smocking tonight" Steven asked "what" Laurel replied "keep your voice down Susannah and Lydia are asleep on the couch" Laurel snapped.

"Well I wasn't yelling. Well you-you-you were" Steven began to defend while I let out a laugh "just so you know Laurel, I-I didn't drink tonight I was the DD I swear" Jeremiah defended himself while looking at me while I was still laughing letting out a chuckle himself, Laurel then turned to Conrad "your the oldest, what the hell's gotten into you" "I love you laur but do you really think I'm gonna listen to what Conrad says? I don't even listen to what Ben says" I spoke up looking at my brother, Laurel then turned her attention to me and Belly "and since when did yous leave the house without telling anyone?" she questioned "and what in the world are yous wearing" she questioned again "it's Taylor's" Belly told her mom "wow wow wow one question at a time" I spoke up making everyone except Laurel stifle a laugh.

"And laur if you really think this top is that bad you should go look at the rest of my wardrobe" I spoke "wait why are we the only ones not allowed to go out anywhere?" Belly questioned annoyed at her mom "it's not that yous aren't allowed it's that you should of told us and how did you even get there" Laurel questioned us Belly stayed silent for a second before I answered for her "we walked....duh....what do you think I grew wings and flew us there?" I spoke in an obvious way "you know better than to walk down the beach alone that late at night" Laurel said annoyed "it's fine laur I know how to get a guy on his knees....well two ways actually" I answered smiling at Laurel while she tried to stay serious "ugh can you stop treating us like kids?" Belly snapped getting angry "if you wanna be treated like an adult then you have to act like one" Laurel said back just as annoyed as belly was "then maybe you guys should to" Conrad piped up "yea Conrad tell them wooooo I got your back....unless your mom gives us into trouble then I definitely don't have your back" Laurel just looked at me then back at Conrad.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, no one said anything after that "I hope you realise this night could have ended a lot differently if your family wasn't your family...now go to bed I'll see you all in the morning" Laurel spoke.

After I got ready for bed I got a text from Jeremiah asking if I was up so I went to his room and got into bed beside him. "You know I've missed you" Jeremiah spoke smiling down at me "yea me to" I smiled back up at him then fell asleep with Jeremiah's arms wrapped around me.
