HARRY

I woke up to Kaydence stirring in my arms, and slowly I opened my eyes, blinking away the brightness in the room. I glanced down to see Kaydence's head resting on my chest, her arm draped over my stomach, and her leg bent over my legs. I grinned, liking that she was this close to me.

I felt happy, she had given me more then she realized last night when she told me how she really felt, and when she opened up to me. And the kiss? It was amazing.Sure, I did want things to go farther then they had, but I could tell Kaydence was uncomfortable, and I would never pressure her into something she wasn't ready for.

Staring down at her, I lifted my hand and softly brushed the strands of hair that were falling in her face, behind her ear. She didn't wake up, and I took my time studying every inch of her face. I noticed how she had a tiny mole on the edge of her jaw, I noticed that she had very light freckles splattered on her nose, and how her bottom lip jutted out as she breathed in and out slowly.

I smiled, and ran one of my hands up and down her back slowly, while I ran my fingers through her hair with my other. She stirred, and blinked her eyes open, lifting her head up and resting her chin on my chest. Her eyes were sleepy, and she had a crease on her cheek but she still looked cute.

"Hi." She said, her voice raspy.

"Hi." I answered.

She stared at me, and seemed to realize she was lying on me while I was shirtless. She glanced down at my chest, her eyes focusing on my tattoos as her cheeks started to turn red.

"Um.." She stopped, pushing herself away from me and putting a few inches between us.

"Sorry, it's just I can only take so much." She looked down at her hands, embarrassed.

"Kay, it's fine." I said, reaching over and taking her hand.

She took it, and ran her fingers over my ring, twisting it around my finger. She blew out a sigh and nodded. "Yeah, I know." She glanced up at me, smiling lightly. "Thanks."

"For what?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Being here I guess."

"I'll always be here." I said honestly.

She looked at me, her face blank. She turned her head, and stood up from the bed. "Where are you going?" I asked.

She glanced down at the dress she had worn the night before, then looked up at me. "To the bathroom so I can shower."

"Oh, right."

She walked to her bag, and pulled out a t-shirt and sweats.

"You don't want to wear that."

She sighed, throwing her clothes back in the bag and replacing them with jeans and a white v-neck.

"Not that either."

She spun around, giving me a hard look. "How about you tell me where we are going so I can figure out what to wear."

I smirked, liking how she didn't even bother on arguing with me on going out. "We're having lunch with all the lads and their families, including my mum and I think she's bringing Nicole."

I don't know if it was just my imagination, but it seemed like Kaydence had stiffened at the mention of Nicole 's name.

"Oh."

"Is something wrong?" I asked hesitantly.

She bit her bottom lip, her forehead creasing. "Can I ask you something?"

I nodded. "Sure, what is it?"

She walked to the edge of the bed, sitting down and cleared her throat. "Did you and Nicole use to have a thing?"

My eyebrows shot up, and my eyes widened in surprise. "Uh, where'd you get that idea?"

"At the concert, she mentioned it. I thought she might be lying but from the look on your face it's clear she wasn't."

I sighed, lifting my hand to push my hair back. "It's not like that. We did sort of have a thing but it wasn't serious."

"Well what happened?"

"We kissed, once. Before I tried out for X-Factor, and that was it."

She frowned, her eyebrows knitting together. "She made it sound like it was more then that."

"What did she tell you?" I asked, curiously.

"She just asked if I knew about your past with her and I don't know, it sounded like there was more to it then what you're saying."

I shrugged. "Nicole is a little dramatic, but all we did was flirt. At least when we turned sixteen and we kissed once. It wasn't even all that great if you ask me, I didn't feel anything not like I do with-"

I cut myself off and shut my mouth. I didn't want to scare her off and let her know how strong my feelings for her really were.

"Like you do with who?" She asked hopefully.

I sighed. To hell with it.

"Like I do with you."

I was afraid she'd throw a punch at me or tell me to fuck off, but instead she blushed and grinned.

Before I could say anything else, she stood up and walked back to her bag, moving clothes around as she looked through it.

"So if it's just lunch with everyone what's wrong with jeans and a regular shirt?"

"It's kind of a fancy restaurant."

She grimaced. "How fancy?"

"Not too fancy, you can still wear jeans but I don't know dress it up a little, work your girl magic or whatever shit you girls do."

She laughed. Like really laughed. It wasn't her sarcastic laugh or her angry laugh she does sometimes that makes her seem crazy, but it was a real amused laugh.

"That was real funny, you actually think I'm one of those girls." She laughed again, and hell did I love the sound of it. "Haven't you noticed I mostly just wear converse and t-shirts?"

I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Yeah but you're still a girl. It has to be in your blood or something."

She laughed even harder, grabbing her stomach as she doubled over. I just sat there staring at her. She even had it in her to stomp her feet and clap.

"Oh my God," she breathed. "That's great shit." She kept giggling as she turned around and pulled out some clothes. When she turned back around, she glanced at me and laughed again, shaking her head as she walked to the bathroom, muttering something about injections and blood.

I shook my head, and laughed to myself. She was weird sometimes, but I lo-

Like.

Liked her.

"Kaydence hurry up! It's almost noon!" Harry called through the bathroom door.

"Shut up dick head!" I yelled, imitating Lou's comment from yesterday and heard Harry laugh from the other side.

I finished my makeup and stood back to look at myself in the full length mirror.

I had decided to stick to my skinny jeans, but took Harry's advice and dressed it up by wearing a green flowy spagetti strapped shirt that had a design in the back and revealed a little bit more skin then I intended. But the point was to look better then I usually did, especially if Nicole would be there. I quickly pulled my hair up into a loose cute bun, letting some strands fall around my face, and slid into the black pumps Lou gave me.

I walked out the bathroom door, to find Harry sitting on the couch, his foot resting on his knee as he slumped back and looked through his phone. He was wearing a white see through dress shirt, and it was unbuttoned halfway, revealing his tattoos on his chest and the sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. He wore his usual black skinny jeans with his brown boots, and I couldn't keep my mind from thinking how gorgeous he looked.

Feeling my eyes on him, he glanced up from his phone and ran his eyes down my body. Meeting my stare, he did his signature smirk and I felt the butterflies in my stomach. "I approve."

I pretended he didn't just make my heart leap and rolled my eyes, walking to the table to grab my purse. "I don't need your approval, styles."

He chuckled, and stood up, holding his hand out to me. "I know, but you look beautiful." He reached up, pushing the loose strands of hair away from my face. "I'm kind of liking your hair up, I can see your face better."

I felt my cheeks heating up, and nudged him. "Shut up. Quit complementing me so we can go."

He smiled, and pulled me to the door and down the hallway.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had arrived to the restaurant a few minutes later, and can I just say that it was ridiculously busy?
It was a Monday afternoon, and there was a line of people waiting to get a table. I mean, I would think people would be at work right now, so I really was surprised to see it this busy.
"Harry we aren't going to get a table." I said to him, as we walked up to the hostess who was standing behind the podium.
"Yeah we will, we had already made reservations." He turned his attention to the lady, speaking low so this that other people couldn't hear. She nodded, and led us past a few tables.
There were two little girls sitting at a booth with their parents when they looked up and saw Harry and gasped. They bounced in their seats, and pointed at Harry. Their dad leaned over the edge of the table and looked down the walk way as he saw Harry and I walking closer to them. He looked from his kids to Harry, and stood up walking towards us.
Just as he was about to say something to Harry, security was in front of him, blocking him from Harry. They started pushing him away and the man looked puzzled. Harry reached out, putting his hand on the security's shoulder.
"It's alright mate, let the man go." Said Harry.
The security looked between Harry and the man, and hesitantly let the man go, backing off.
Harry took a step towards the man, and patted his shoulder. "Sorry about that."
The man nodded and pointed behind him, towards the table he had been sitting at. "My daughter's are huge fans of yours, is it okay if they can get a picture with you?"
"Yeah! It's no problem." Harry smiled, and walked to the table the man pointed at, us following behind him.
He reached the end of the table, and kneeled down, so that he was the same height as them. Their eyes widened, and they sat still as if they were afraid to move.
"Hello girls, I'm Harry." He stuck his hand out to them, and they both held their small hands out to him, and he kissed them making them smile so big you'd think they just saw Santa.
"You're from one direction!" One of the girls said excitedly.
"I am! How did you know?" Harry matched the little girls excitement, and I bit my lip to keep from laughing.
"We listen to your music! We went to your concert the other day!" The other girl said.
"You did, did you?! Did you have fun?" They nodded in response, smiling.
"Good, is it okay if I take a picture with you girls?" He asked.
They both smiled even bigger, and stood up quickly from the table and went to stand on both sides of Harry. Even with him kneeling he was taller then them.
He put both arms around them, as the girls father took the picture of them.
One of the girls said she wanted to take one alone with Harry, and when she did Harry gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her squeal. He then took the same picture with the other girl, receiving the same reaction from her.
Even after he finished taking pictures with them he stayed longer to talk to them a little, ignoring security that kept nudging him to leave. He ignored them multiple times, but eventually stood up and waved bye to the girls.
I followed behind him, and smiled at him. He felt me staring and turned his head, looking at me with confusion. "What?"
"That was probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen."
He shrugged as if it was no big deal. "I love our fans, we can't always talk to every single one of them like we would like too, but whenever I get the chance I like showing them I do care."
I smiled, and glanced at the security. "Yeah but it sucks you guys get shoved away from them by security."
He scoweled, and the annoyance was evident on his face. "Fuck security. I hate when they do that. If I want to be near our fans then they should let us, it gets me mad because those are the only times I get to ever really tell a fan I love them, ya know?"
"Yeah."
Harry kept walking ahead of me towards the back room, but I was barely paying attention. I was staring at Harry. He really was a good guy. He had so much love for people he didn't even know, and he cared so much about them too. He was different from what I had thought he would be like.
My heart ached as I stared at him and I was starting to realize that I, screwed up Kaydence Taylor, was falling for One Direction's Harry Styles.
