[No one]
Grian inhaled excited once he saw the End portal. He hurried to it and began placing the eyes of ender to their places. He didn't have enough, but Zloy came to help him cheat a bit.
"If you get caught, Ex-Eye-Zooma is gonna kill you!" Grian laughed as he watched the Watcher place the eyes to their places.
"He won't ever find out," Zloy winked and place his finger on his lips.
"Thanks for the help Zloy! Now I gotta go beat an ender dragon!" Grian waved to his brother as the portal lit up.
"At least it's not Jean, she wasn't an easy one to beat," Zloy huffed.
"I can believe that," Grian grinned before jumping into the portal.
His lungs were filled with kinda familiar air. The real End and the servers' own Ends had different air because most of the normal players weren't able to breath the End's actual air.
He had really missed the End, even if this one wasn't the real one. The cold air was the only annoying thing, he should have taken his cloak with him.
He made his way to the dragon and tsk-ed. Xelvier wanted out. They wanted blood.
Grian's eyes flashed red and he was Xelvier again.
Xelvier smirked and with just their thoughts, they blew up all the End crystals from the obsidian pillars. The dragon was nothing to them. They raise their hand and purple chains wrapped tightly around the dragon. The dragon screamed as the chains tore her apart. Soon the XP was floating towards them as the dragon shattered into pieces.
They sighed and turned back to just Grian in control and Xavier being an annoying bug you can't get rid of.
Grian returned to the Overworld with the dragon's egg. He hadn't started building anything yet since he had been so busy with speed running.
He noticed how the others had already built houses to themselves. He also noticed Pearl standing by her house - or at least he thought it was hers - and called her name.
"Oh, hey Grian!" Pearl casted him a smile. He really loved seeing Pearl actually happy.
"How have you been?" Grian asked her and glanced at her house.
"I've been fine. It's so peaceful without your sister," She grinned.
"Ethel wasn't that bad, was she?" Grian chucked.
"Not that bad, but she speaks a lot and her personality is just interesting. She's like a roller-coaster!" Pearl grinned, sounding amused. She had been surprised by the way Ethel had acted.
"She reminds me of our mother," Grian hummed sadly. Their mother had been like Ethel for years, before completely changing because she had grown so afraid of everything.
"Taurtis mentioned her a few times," Pearl thought our loud, making Grian turn to look at her with slight confusion.
"What?" He tilted his head.
"Taurtis mentioned your mother to Ethel a few times. Ethel hadn't really known her, but Taurtis remembered her after spending so much time with you," Pearl explained softly. "She sounded so amazing," She added quietly.
"She was the best mother I could have asked for," Grian smiled sadly. Tears began slowly forming in his eyes.
"I can believe that.." Pearl whispered tearfully. She had heard so many good things about Grian's mother and felt so bad for him.
"And the fact that she died just because she loved someone! It's not fair! You should be able to love whoever you want to without being afraid of dying because of it!" Grian cried out as tears fell down on his cheeks.
Pearl tried her best to hold back tears as she wrapped her arms around her brother and sunk on the ground with him.
"It's not fair.. She didn't deserve to die.. Just because she loved someone.. It's not fair.." Grian was sobbing on Pearl's shoulder.
"I know.. I know.. I can't believe that happened.. It's definitely not fair.." Pearl whispered as tear began falling down on her cheeks. "Do you mind telling me her name..?" She asked out of pure curiosity.
"Amaranthae-Naexi Ciliren Faeqen," Grian hummed sadly. He couldn't help but grin at the long name.
"That's a pretty name," Pearl admitted. It sounded really unique.
"Yeah, she was really pretty too," Grian whispered. He still remembered his mother's caring, purple eyes and fluffy dirt blonde hair.
"Did she look more like you or Ethel?" Pearl asked carefully.
"She always said that I look like our father, except I have her hair. Ethel looks like her more, she just has our father's eyes, like me," Grian explained quietly. He actually enjoyed speaking about his mother. He was so lucky she had been his mother.
"The Watcher council was the worst thing ever.." Pearl mumbled. She still remembered her time as a Watcher. She remembered clearly the hallway she had ran with Grian, the hallway she had lost her life on. She knew that the Watchers were manipulative creatures.
"She didn't deserve her demise.. She wasn't even a part of the Watcher council..." Grian sobbed. He was starting to feel really exhausted after all the crying, not to mention he had just spent hours getting prepared to go to the End.
"Please, Grian.. Just sleep for a while.. You really need it.." Pearl whispered and soon her brother just fell asleep on her arms.
Grian woke up in Pearl's house. First he was confused, but soon remembered what had happened - and obviously he didn't have a house yet - and sighed.
"How are you feeling today?" Pearl walked to the room and handed him a bottle of water
"Honestly I've been better, but I'm fine," Grian sighed and took a sip from the bottle.
"I'm glad you're okay," Pearl smiled softly.
"I probably should go and make myself a house," Grian grinned. "I don't really wanna hear Tech call me homeless like he does to Dream," He added, making Pearl chuckle.
"Oh, oh! Have you heard about the MCC?" Pearl's face lit up as she asked the question.
"Isn't it like that one championship competition for fun?" Grian inquired.
"Yeah! I was invited and I heard that Scott Smajor wanted to invite you too!" Pearl exclaimed excitedly.
"That sounds interesting," Grian admitted and immediately his communicator buzzed.
=Scott Smajor=
Scott Smajor
Hey Grian! You have been officially invited to MCC 26.6.2021! If you're interested, tell me and you'll get a team! (9.03)
Grian
Thanks for the invite! I would love to join! (9.04)
Grian glanced at the communicator and showed the message to Pearl.
"I have to say that the new system update I so weird," Grian admitted.
When they had moved to season 8, everyone had been required to update their communicator to the 2021 update. Grian had just bought a new new one for Hermitcraft and other things since The Council didn't allow using communicators made after 2019 because the system was so different, and Grian didn't complain. He preferred the old one over the new one.
"Why is The Council using the old one btw?" Pearl inquired. She had been given Quinn's old communicator since she didn't have her own.
"I think it's just the old system that we're used to and there's everything we need," Grian explained shrugging, "But of course Mx. Blackwood keeps complaining because there's no mute-button and someone, whose name I'm not gonna mention," Grian coughed, "Mao," He coughed again, "Keeps spamming," He ended.
"I see," Pearl nodded.
"Well, I think I should go now because otherwise Tech is gonna call me homeless," Grian grinned and stood up from the bed.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing your house! I'm sure it's going to look amazing!" Pearl smiled and waved as Grian headed outside.
"See you!" Grian shouted as Pearl closed the door.
'What kind of house are we gonna build?' Xavier inquired.
'I have a plan, but I'm not gonna tell you before we're ready!' Grian smirked. He really wanted to use the new blocks.
'Great, now I have to trust you with our house!' Xavier exclaimed dramatically.
Grian began building a house while Xavier was just complaining about everything.
During the building he got a message from Scott Smajor about his team. He was so excited to see that he was teamed up with his brother, Techno. Also in the team were Techno's brother, Wilbur and their father, Phil. **
He went and looked at the list of teams. Pearl, Tommy, Tubbo, Niki and Techno were the ones from his siblings who were in the list. He was so excited because he hadn't seen them in a long time.
Secretly he was hoping some of the other Council members would come to watch the event. He was actually betting that at least Dream, Ranboo and maybe Ethel would be there.
"Hey Grian! I saw your name in the MCC teams!" A familiar voice called from behind him when he was almost done making the house.
"Mumbo! Yeah, I was invited," Grian smiled to his friend.
"That's really cool! And you're teamed up with Technoblade!" Mumbo continued.
"I'm actually pretty good friends with him," Grian smiled. He had been friends with Techno and Taurtis ever since he was a child.
"What?!" Mumbo exclaimed. He had had no idea his friend was friends with Technoblade.
"I was actually sparring with him a lot as a child, back then he was still starting to learn combat," Grian smirked.
When he and Techno had met, Techno hadn't known any combat. He had gotten abandoned by his family since he was a Watcher. Grian had taught him combat and the duo had hanged out everyday for years. Taurtis had joined them too and the trio had been close.
But of course it had to come to an end. First Techno got adopted and moved far away, then Grian's mother died and he moved away. He met Taurtis again in High school, but of course it hadn't been the same anymore.
One day Grian had found Techno's Watcher file from the Watchers Academy and sneaked out to visit him in The Original Nether. They had started hanging out again, but it had been a bit sad without Taurtis. Then Grian had met Teni and decided that Techno could use some company.
"You? Taught Technoblade combat?!" Mumbo exclaimed in shock.
"Yep," Grian hummed.
"That's- I was not expecting that!" Mumbo mumbled, he was clearly shocked.
"Everyone always thinks Philza taught him everything, but in reality they met when Techno was 11 and then he already knew everything," Grian hummed. "Philza thought Techno was just naturally talented," He snorted.
"What? He isn't Phil's biological son?" Now Mumbo was even more shocked.
"Wilbur is his only biological son. Tommy and Techno are adopted," Grian smirked. He was enjoying Mumbo's shocked confusion.
"I thought Wilbur and Techno were twins?!" Mumbo exclaimed. That was a rumor that was going around.
"Actually, Wilbur is 24 and Techno 27," Grian smirked as Mumbo's jaw flew open. ***
"WHAT?!" Mumbo yelled, getting everyone's attention, who were close by.
"What are you two talking about?" Impulse asked curiously.
"GRIAN HAS TAUGHT TECHNOBLADE!" Mumbo exclaimed.
"WHAT?!" Impulse exclaimed and turned to look at Grian.
"That's true," Grian smirked.
'This is actually pretty entertaining,' Xavier hummed, not even bothering to hold back laughter.
'I have to agree with that,' Grian smirked.
{Meanwhile}
"I have this weird feeling that someone's talking about me," Techno mumbled to Wilbur.
"Everyone is talking 'bout you!" Wilbur snorted.
Techno shook his head, "No, this is someone important," He muttered.
Words: 1924
(An actual long chapter! MY MOTIVATION IS COMING BACK!)
(**The reason why I put Phil to the team is because Mr. Gaming was a part of Evo and in this fict everyone from Evo is dead. Sorry about that! :( The original team was so good, Wilbur, Grian, Techno and Jimmy, I mean)
(*** I know Techno is actually 22, but I already put Grian to be 27 (28 this year) in this story since it's his real age. Since Grian and Techno were childhood friends in this, I decided to put that Techno was a year younger than Grian, but Watcher look like they're on their 20s so Techno pretends to be 22 :D)
